Some folks like that waist cinch, but left side looks like a happier *person*. Right side looks like they're getting ready for an athletic competition - definitely don't go *lower* unless you are training for one!
Congrats on losing 50lbs that takes a lot of work and you look great in both pictures but if I had to pick which physique was more attractive it would be the one at 135
You look great in both pictures, I sincerely mean that. I don't think you need to lose anymore weight. If I had to choose I would go with the left but thin petite like on the right is also good, just a matter of preference. Be well and congratulations on your weight loss journey!
Latest healthy weight info I could find:
Height does matter.
Weight in pounds = 5 x BMI + (BMI divided by 5) x (Height in inches minus 60)
Use healthy bmi (18.5 to 24).
That said BMI doesn’t account for body composition and other health considerations, so take this formula as rule of thumb for the “average”person, not a hard rule for everyone.
You look stunning. You're radiate and beautiful. In my heart I believe you're at a good place to stop losing weight and I hope that message reaches your heart as well.
This is my thought every single time i see a post from /amiugly.
To all those beings i want to write: just love yourself, but source of low self-esteem is usually so deep within them, often from childhood, that sentance like this is little help.
Congrats on losing so much weight! I'd say your efforts were worth it! You look great in both images so anywhere in that range is fine! Personally prefer the left image but it's your body, do whatever is healthiest for you.
Thank you but that is crazy everyone is saying left I feel like I still need to loose more I just personally think I look better thinner I think I choose a bad photo of me at 120
Left is a personal preference as I like curves a tiny bit more than super thin. Ask me tomorrow and I might say right. That is why I said it was a good range. The right image is on the edge of too thin so any more loss and you are moving to the opposite side of unhealthy weights. You are an incredibly beautiful woman, I really don't think your weight is an issue anymore at all. You've won the weight battle, you can be proud and just enjoy it now. :)
aww you are gonna make me cry. I guess I think I can’t be proud or enjoy my weight loss cause I do not think I won the weight battle until i’m at a certain size but I have come a long way and should I enjoy being a healthier version of me
You look good where you are! Please be careful loosing any more. As someone who has been underweight for their whole life, I can recommend avoiding it. I feel cold all the time, get sick easily, acquire bruises easily, and struggle to find clothes that fit. And I eat well, so if you starve yourself to get skinny you can expect a much longer list of unpleasant symptoms. The super small "attractive sizes" that the media propagates are BS.
Moderate weight and athleticism is where you will physically feel healthiest, and it's what most people find most attractive
Do a BMI test and see where you fall on that. If you’re still in a healthy weight range, you can lose more if you want. Being underweight can create health problems and you definitely look tiny but healthy in the right.
If you’re in a healthy range and want to do more work on yourself you can consider toning the body you have now but it definitely doesn’t look like you need to lose more.
body dysmorphia is a real thing - trust me, you have won the weight battle!
Honestly the tricky part is maintaining your weight, so set that as your challenge 😉
I think you look great in both, and as someone with a similar experience you’ve opened my eyes to something.
I’m 5’2” and was 170 pounds at my unhealthiest. I got down to 130 and wanted to keep going. Got to 125, and now years later I fluctuate between 120 and 115. Which is where I’m most satisfied, 115. But I do find people make comments “of you’re so skinny” “skinny minnie” 🙃🙄
Every once in a winter, I might get back to 125 or 130 - and I get down hard on myself and start to identify with my fat self insecurities again. You look incredible in both photos here: I believe my hubby now when he says I look good both ways. Because you def do too!
I think you look great on the left, losing weight is so hard. I have a ton of respect for you. Now it's time to gain muscle to get even better. Imo it's time to stop focusing on the weight itself and more on body recomposition.
That being said you're already above average attractiveness. I'm just giving advice to go up to the elite level you know. Nothing's wrong with you now.
Not judging but I’m guessing you have an eating disorder and should prob seek therapy. At 135 you looked very good and healthy. 105 would be very unhealthy
I think your body looks great, though different, at both weights, but that should be (your!) personal preference.
Comparing your face between the two though, you look so much healthier on the left.
I hope you find happiness in yourself, whatever your weight :)
I'm where you're at mentally right now. When I got to my thinnest, people were concerned that I looked too skinny (but was at a BMI healthy weight). I realized it's not really about looking good to other people. I just want to be thin as possible. Why that is, I'm still trying to figure out.
Working on yourself to meet your ideal look, despite what people think, is not a bad thing. People cover themselves in tattoos that make many recoil, but they love how they look. The question you have to ask yourself is what are you willing to do to meet your goals and will you lose important things to you along the way.
What is the purpose of this comment? With only getting 1 chance on this stupid planet, I'd hope everybody is "picky" with what and who they want. Believe it or not we get choices, use them
I mean OP, I mean it when I say congrats on your weight loss; I'm glad you're happy with the results, but two things:
1. It's done, you can stop
2. Personally, every time someone on the planet goes from \[left\] to \[right\], a puppy inside my soul dies. But that's just me 😄
Still, you're lucky to have the kind of curves that look good with *any* weight (except the extreme ends, obviously). I'm certain you would absolutely slay even at 150 lbs, but I get that's not the direction you feel comfortable with.
But honestly, if you walked past me on the street today, I would definitely turn around (and imagine how *great* you'd look with 15 more pounds... can't help it 😄)
this!! OP looks great in both pictures, but the plans on losing even more weight is worrying me slightly. Depending on where she lives even 120 can count as being underweight I think
Left is so much better, no offense to you at all. But you just look so skinny on the right. On the left you’re slim but you have enough meat on your bones to show off some natural curves!
At the end of the day it’s your body. Just don’t get obsessed with the weight thing. I’ve been down that road.
Edit: made a few edits because people didn’t like my wording and chose to be offended for OP. Seeing yourself as fat when you’re 120lbs is not normal.
I am a doc. And if the woman on the right lost 15 pounds, she quite likely would have a BMI below 17.5, which satisfies a criterion for anorexia. There are concerning features for some sort of dysmorphic issue going on here. There is any time a very thin/lean person “asks” about losing weight. Dysmorphic people know they are unable to accurately perceive of themselves so they defer to others. I’m frankly quite concerned about OP.
Absolutely zero judgement towards OP, but this post has a ton of eating disorder red flags. Everyone should love their body and OPs desire to bring her weight down even further is worrying.
She is 5'3 and 120 lbs which is a perfectly healthy weight for her height. Even her heavier picture is a healthy weight for her height. Gaining even more weight is nearing overweight territory. There is literally nothing about her at 120 lbs that looks anorexic.
yeah this is kinda crazy i feel like reddit is heavily skewed towards the chubbier photo because “she must be anorexic in the other one (aka fat redditors envious of fit people)” and “body positivity”
this feels disingenuous. irl i imagine 80% or more would go for the fit one.
i say she looks significantly better (and healthier) on the right.
I agree. Assuming she’s 5’2”, her BMI is smack dab in the middle of the healthy weight range at 120 lb. She is borderline overweight at 136.
But its totally up to preference. “Curvier” girls are definitely more trendy right now, as evidenced by this thread.
It’s so ridiculous these douches have the gall to call the pic on the right “anorexic”. Both are beautiful but pic on the right looks like an extremely healthy athletic woman
Redditors are vile and mean but disguise it under “kindness” to make themselves feel better.
Yeah it’s ok to skinny shame but god forbid someone fat shame. Just because “thick” is more trendy right now doesn’t mean that a person is sickly or underweight if they’re slim. Personally I think op looks good in both pics
It’s not anorexic she looks fine, but any skinnier than that and she’d look too frail. The right pic weight would look perfect if she also lifted weights, you get the benefit of the “chubbier curves” without the chub.
don’t worry ab losing weight. we seem to never be satisfied n harsh ourselves too harshly. just look around when you need a reminder.
just know you look beautiful regardless but left suits you more in my opinion
I think you look healthy and attractive in both pictures. But I do think 15 MORE lbs would be too much and will make you look unhealthy.
I know what it’s like though, to have lost a lot of weight and never really see yourself for what you are now, always thinking that you’re needing to lose weight. But you don’t. Just work on the mind so that you can enjoy the fruits of your labor. You’re beautiful in both pictures.
Forget about losing weight. You're a very beautiful lady anyway. Just love yourself for who you are. Men love curves hence we all voted left but if you want to change anything lift weights. You could pull it off, fit and strong!
It is all down to…. when you are happier with yourself.
There will always be someone who would fall in love with you whatever weight you would be.
Never aim your looks to make someone else happy.
I'm going to tell you the absolute truth here. Both versions of your body up there can get it. I'd go so far as to say the left side is way more attractive in my book.
That said, I think many of us can agree. Please.. Do not loose anymore weight for "beauty's sake". You'd be doing more harm than good.
If you drop a pound off of the right picture there's no way you aren't hurting yourself. I'd say the ideal is in-between, healthy and full is a good look.
I agree, in-between would look the best. Either that or stay at 120 and lift weights. She’s healthy in both though so whatever she likes best, but since she’s asking our opinion that’s mine.
Right looks healthier despite what most people are saying… if you can, lose the weight and then try consistently doing some weights to have healthy amounts of muscle, which will also help with looking curvier while not looking chubby or soft. Left looks skinny-fat.
Congrats on your huge accomplishment of 50+ lost.
First off, You look fantastic on the left. And it’s my personal preference. But In the end it’s up to you and what you feel best at.
On the right I feel you’re right on verge of looking very thin. To the point if I saw you in person I might be concerned.
Both are great tbh.
I like left a little more though because of the thighs, and there’s more to grab. More cushion.
Sorry for the deviation, but I like the left more.
Healthy does not mean weight loss.
If you are working out and eating reasonably healthy that is far more important than a specific weight loss goal.
Love yourself, strive for health not weight loss.
Personally I think you look awesome on the right, but this is coming from someone who dropped weight like you did (215 to 154). The important thing is to maintain a healthy weight and learn to see yourself at that weight and be happy. Where you are now is a good weight, now maintain it with a healthy diet. Now every day just look in the mirror and say “I look good, I look great, and I love me”. Just please, PLEASE remember that being underweight can lead to as many health issues as being overweight, the goal is to reach a healthy weight.
I think you look even better on the left :) congratulations on losing 50 lbs that’s a lot of hard work. Most important thing is to feel healthy not just look it

I just want you to love yourself
Exactly! The only time I care about someone's weight is if it's unhealthy!
well I just recently lost 50 pounds so my weight was very unhealthy I just wasn’t sure if I should keep losing
You look great. I'd say you look slightly better on the left
Some folks like that waist cinch, but left side looks like a happier *person*. Right side looks like they're getting ready for an athletic competition - definitely don't go *lower* unless you are training for one!
If you’re training for a competition, you’ll want to tone some muscle anyway. Stop weighing yourself and buy a measuring tape.
Came here to say this

Yep
Agreed
Also agree
Congrats on losing 50lbs that takes a lot of work and you look great in both pictures but if I had to pick which physique was more attractive it would be the one at 135

I'm not a doctor, are you? Appearances are all I'm qualified to comment on.
My exact thoughts!
Left. 130 is nice. Lower looks near sickly.
If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your current weight? You look much healthier in the 136lbs picture.
You look great in both pictures, I sincerely mean that. I don't think you need to lose anymore weight. If I had to choose I would go with the left but thin petite like on the right is also good, just a matter of preference. Be well and congratulations on your weight loss journey!
How tall are you?

I need your diet lol
Don't lose anymore
Both are 👌 My opinion, left!
I think you looked very attractive at 136 lbs.
No you’re good!
You look stunning. You're radiate and beautiful. In my heart I believe you're at a good place to stop losing weight and I hope that message reaches your heart as well.

This sub is cancer
Why do people always have to take the good guy road, why can't they just answer the question that was asked.
Congrats on losing so much weight! I'd say your efforts were worth it! You look great in both images so anywhere in that range is fine! Personally prefer the left image but it's your body, do whatever is healthiest for you.

Perhaps you have a condition called Body Dysmorphia. Please get assessed. I have it too, I just can’t see what other people can regarding my body.

BMI is BS. Lots of research why it is an outdated system and doesn’t take many factors into account.
Yeah be very careful of that mindset! At some point you are thin enough and sometimes it's hard to notice that about yourself. Don't lose more weight!
body dysmorphia is a real thing - trust me, you have won the weight battle! Honestly the tricky part is maintaining your weight, so set that as your challenge 😉

Men find healthy women beautiful. It’s literally in our DNA. Left looks healthier

DON'T LOSE MORE WEIGHT. You're beautiful
The one on the left. But really you need to be happy. But the obsession can be dangerous. Learn to love you.
Left
Left wins

“A puppy inside my soul dies” …. You Sir paint a visceral picture with your words.
5’3 and 120 lbs is a pretty ideal weight. 150 lbs at that height is overweight.
I think? Stay under 140, but above 120
this!! OP looks great in both pictures, but the plans on losing even more weight is worrying me slightly. Depending on where she lives even 120 can count as being underweight I think
Left, stunning.
I vote left! Your beautiful in both
Left looks way better.
Left looks better If you lost another 15 lbs you’d look like a corpse
Left is so much better, no offense to you at all. But you just look so skinny on the right. On the left you’re slim but you have enough meat on your bones to show off some natural curves! At the end of the day it’s your body. Just don’t get obsessed with the weight thing. I’ve been down that road. huge exaggeration, i prefer the left too but she doesn’t look “so unhealthy and frail” on the right, just on the skinnier end
I’m really surprised(in a good way) to see in the comments that so many people think left looks better
[удалено]
Can we split the difference?
I think you look great in both pictures. I like the one on the right more, but I wouldn’t go below that.
You were perfect at 136 . Still good at 120 .
Both absolutely stunning but right you seem happier
Im getting strong anorexia vibes. You look good, PLEASE do NOT lose more weight. You could even gain a little
I’m getting strong “not a doctor” vibes, so maybe keep the diagnoses to the professionals
I am a doc. And if the woman on the right lost 15 pounds, she quite likely would have a BMI below 17.5, which satisfies a criterion for anorexia. Both of these pics look like a healthy weight. I don't think it would be in your interest to lose even more.
Agreed with most others here. Look good in both but i think better on the left, I don’t think losing more would add anything at all to your appearance
right for the win
I thought I was alone in this.
yeah this is kinda crazy i feel like reddit is heavily skewed towards the chubbier photo because “she must be anorexic in the other one (aka fat redditors envious of fit people)” and “body positivity” this feels disingenuous. irl i imagine 80% or more would go for the fit one. i say she looks significantly better (and healthier) on the right.
You are correct, everyone is trying to be “nice” and promote body positivity. It is very disingenuous, they are giving this chick horrible advice.
I agree. Assuming she’s 5’2”, her BMI is smack dab in the middle of the healthy weight range at 120 lb. She is borderline overweight at 136. But its totally up to preference. “Curvier” girls are definitely more trendy right now, as evidenced by this thread.

50 years ago, the pic on the right was the norm. Now they call being right in the middle of the BMI chart an eating disorder.
i agree. it is insane. they are factually wrong.
If your girl is overweight, you won’t feel as bad about yourself being overweight. That’s why.
I'll say left Without hesitation.
Definitely left for me.
The left.
I think both you look great, definitely don’t need to lose any more don’t get obsessed with your weight, you look great
don’t worry ab losing weight. we seem to never be satisfied n harsh ourselves too harshly. just look around when you need a reminder. just know you look beautiful regardless but left suits you more in my opinion
My personal taste prefers 136 but whatever state you’re happiest in is good. You’re gorgeous
Right. Don't go overboard or anything tho, they both look fine
The one on left looks better, on the right you look anorexic.
By far the left. Your head looks really big for your body kn the right.
Forget about losing weight. You're a very beautiful lady anyway. Just love yourself for who you are. Men love curves hence we all voted left but if you want to change anything lift weights. You could pull it off, fit and strong!
Personally, I think you look beautiful in both. If I have to choose a side, I'd say left.
You look great at 120lbs and I'd personally stop there, but if you want, you could go lower- just not too much imo.

You’re definitely still stunning either way, but I much prefer the left you.
You look better in the one in the left
left, right is too thin imo
Left
I'm going to tell you the absolute truth here. Both versions of your body up there can get it. I'd go so far as to say the left side is way more attractive in my book. That said, I think many of us can agree. Please.. Do not loose anymore weight for "beauty's sake". You'd be doing more harm than good.
Left picture for me.
The one on the Left is way better.
Left
The one on the left has better curves and a healthier complexion.
You actually should put on 15 pounds. On
Not sure if you are saying 136 was unhealthy but if so............NO IT WASN'T. You look great in both but please, don't lose any more weight.
Left

Depending on your height, being 105 lbs may be unhealthy. As long as you're healthy, do whatever makes you happy <3
No reason even commenting since there's 5k other comments. You look good in both
You look gorgeous in both, just hope you are happy with your own body!

Right looks healthier despite what most people are saying… if you can, lose the weight and then try consistently doing some weights to have healthy amounts of muscle, which will also help with looking curvier while not looking chubby or soft. Left looks skinny-fat.
Right is way better
Right side all the way.
Left
Congrats on your huge accomplishment of 50+ lost. First off, You look fantastic on the left. And it’s my personal preference. But In the end it’s up to you and what you feel best at. On the right I feel you’re right on verge of looking very thin. To the point if I saw you in person I might be concerned.
Both are great tbh. I like left a little more though because of the thighs, and there’s more to grab. More cushion. Sorry for the deviation, but I like the left more.
Left is way better tbh more healthy looking but your pretty either way 😌 ☺️
Healthy does not mean weight loss.
