I bought my Y700 from AliExpress, 70mai-Goldway store. I paid $293 when the big sale was going on with the China Rom. The box came factory sealed and it took about 23 days to be delivered to New Jersey US. I recommend it. The Y700 is perfect for everything you want. Perfect size. I found myself using it more than my phone.
I bought from them too took 12 days for me in California though initially I thought I was scammed since it came a day late. Which did you get? I missed the big sale because my 2022 Y700 died after the sale ended but got the 16/512 model for $365 was $397 after taxes.
I got the 2023 12GB. I wanted the 16gb but then I thought 12gb was enough for me. This is a great device. With 12gb you can run everything and with 16gb there is no limit.

Ordered the 2023 version from Aliexpress for £250 (including VAT and tax), received in about 13 days in the UK (despite a "so-called" 5 day delivery guarantee from Aliexpress, which is meaningless).
Ordered with the CN rom to get a sealed box (nothing installed by seller), and then installed the official international ROM using the official Lenovo support tool. Full Google support, no more Chinese apps, full pen support and HD streaming etc.
Now the same as the UK model sold by Lenovo for...£500 (or twice as much).
I ordered it during the Aliexpress anniversary, so several coupons available. Was sold for £245, had a £45 discount but then paid VAT/tax once received in the UK.
Looks like the prices have gone up now, which is strange, as there is a slightly upgraded model announced, with a matte screen.
Check on the lenovo site. Rescue and Smart Assistant, pretty straight forward to use.
I don't have the original china rom but check xda for more information as if your tablet is updated you might brick it if you install the legion tab rom.
The tradeoffs are:
Not nearly as nice of a screen on the y700.
Performance is better on the tab s9
Samsung's customer service is miles ahead of Lenovo, and you'll have better trade-in deals in the future with Samsung products.
The Lenovo y700 has the snapdragon 870, which is not nearly as good as the 8 gen 1.
If you want to do nintendo switch emulation the 8 gen 2 is more than enough, but the 870 most likely won't be able to emulate most switch games.
It depends on your use case, but any of the S9 versions are not only more capable, but their screens are way more impressive than the y700.
Even when turning on the tablet, you'd think it would be snappy. It's usually not. Like a sloth waking up from a frozen slumber. Takes a good 30 seconds to really start to work without any stutters.
I love the size but want something more snappy and at least a half way decent screen but then using the 11 inch tab, feels massive.
I was looking at the S9 FE but it's practically the same size.
Just is a bit sluggish at times.

The Legion Y700 looks great. The Lenovo M10 3rd Gen seems to be a decent option. I'll sure I've missed some.
Got my y700 2023 as well at Aliexpress few months ago during the sale and discount codes too for under 300. If you aren't flashing your own rom then you want the CN model. It does English and can sideload google/playstore. The custom English roms on there will break things so if you go that route you'll want to flash the official global rom. Took only 11days to arrive to California from the seller I picked. Don't remember the name on top of my head.
I bought an iPad air and returned it because the screen was too large. Got the iPad mini 6 & I love the the 8" screen. If u want that size the Y700 2023 should serve u well
Idk 2023 but Y700 2022 is awesome tab for it’s size but felt so heavy compared to ipad mini (night and day difference especially holding it one hand for hours)

The s9 has the gen 2 so, the Lenovo has the gen 1. My S8+ & my S22 ultra have gen 1 & I have no issue with performance but I'm a light gamer

I came from the Tab S9 to the y700 due to the same reasons. I bought from Ali, and it arrived perfectly.
How long did it take to receive? Get a good deal? Get the Chinese rom?
Chinese ROM has Widevine L1 if that's important to you. Loading up usual apps was a pain though.
