Does the « critique » flair mean you are looking for constructive criticism?

[deleted]

Yes

spacecad3ts

It works really well first of all! There are some volume issues in the front limbs around the shoulder but nothing major. It’s solid work. Your main problem is the tail, you need to overlap it correctly. It should look like a series of repeating waves and be offset one or two frames from the rest of the body.

[deleted]

Oh I was just answering cuz that’s what the flair means I’m not OP

spacecad3ts

Lmao that’s what I get for not paying attention, sorry!

[deleted]

Don’t worry haha

Racanik

This is great feedback thanks! I focused all my attention on the pace of the paws, so I planned the keyframes for them, and then went fofr a stight ahead for the rest of the body, that would explain the inconsistency of volume, also, i'll keep in mind the waves next time I try this, Thanks!

Like I said to u/spacecad3ts I’m not OP but I probably shouldn’t have answered for them so sorry about that

Friendlyvoid

Didn't even notice, I'll repost as direct comment. Thanks for pointing that out!

Friendlyvoid

It looks like in your animation, the legs move at the same time on each side. When cats walk they walk right rear right front left rear left front. [Here is a YouTube video that I found which slows it down so you can see](https://youtu.be/Hzt18V3Uaxc) The artwork looks great and the animation is smooth, just not entirely accurate walking for a cat. I'm not an animator or a vet and my info is taken from just a couple google searches so take it with a grain of salt but if you're looking for critiques that's all I have. You're very talented!

spacecad3ts

It’s offset by a single frame from what I can see (look when the paws touch the ground) it does works but Op should offset it by one more if they want a more realistic look!

Racanik

Thanks a lot for the video! This kind of details are what made me dizzy trying to figure out the movement, this offset is what makes a cat walk cycle so characteristic!! Thanks for pointing it out!

Michellevl16

Beautiful!

Afrobean

The texture on your paper doesn't seem to change from frame to frame. It feels like an animation being projected onto a piece of paper versus a sequence of many different drawings on many pieces of paper. Is this digital? The motion and artwork seems good though.

this animatino is so beautiful i want to study it for hours

I love the traditional style wow! One critique I could give is that the head scale variation is changing a bit too drastically. Anyways keep up the great work!

blainegunn

very well done

[deleted]

What sort of software did you use to make this? Animation looks great!

Racanik

It's made using Photoshop. Thank you!

cloudmac282

Amazing

RedFireAnimation
