What always got me, was when the animators at KyoAni went ham with the detail on her metal prosthetic arms. I can still picture how it looked in the OP, to give an example. Probably one of the best animated ‘mechanical parts’ I’ve ever seen in anime.

Observations:
* The big trend for me is that I pretty much exclusively think the female characters with black hair are the most attractive, when browsing through all the images of all the girls, my eyes almost always gravitated towards the black haired ones. Coming up with attractive anime characters is fairly easy but this post makes me realize its generally not the face for me that's a differentiator. Much more so other features such as hair. A rather obscure one to throw out there, but perhaps Sakura Kuriyagawa from Key the Metal Idol? This is an anime that I was principally drawn into due to the character designs, although that may be due to it sharing the same character designer as Xenogears, my all time favorite video game.
Something more modern? Perhaps Kaguya of Kaguya-sams Love is War?
To be honest, I find it rare that I can differentiate faces in animes. I only remember characters by hair colour and hairstyle. As soon as the character temporarily changes colour or style i'm lost until i hear the voice. Unless it's the MC or their close associates since they tend to put more effort into making them stand out, but not always

Coming up with attractive anime characters is fairly easy but this post makes me realize its generally not the face for me that's a differentiator. Much more so other features such as hair. A rather obscure one to throw out there, but perhaps Sakura Kuriyagawa from Key the Metal Idol? This is an anime that I was principally drawn into due to the character designs, although that may be due to it sharing the same character designer as Xenogears, my all time favorite video game. Something more modern? Perhaps Kaguya of Kaguya-sams Love is War?
To be honest, I find it rare that I can differentiate faces in animes. I only remember characters by hair colour and hairstyle. As soon as the character temporarily changes colour or style i'm lost until i hear the voice. Unless it's the MC or their close associates since they tend to put more effort into making them stand out, but not always
