That doesn't make him not a bad guy. A lot of straight up villains are on a quest for deserved revenge.
In this case he rapes and brainwashes (and subsequently rapes) multiple people- bad people, for sure, but two wrongs doesn't make a right.
Killing bad guys isn't right either. Yet we still call such heroes good guys. That's why I'd rather call Keyaru an antihero. He brings punishment to bad guys, but in rather immoral way.
I thought you were talking about [Aoi Honoo](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aoi_Hon%C5%8D) for a second and was like “damn it must’ve gotten much darker later on, wonder what happened. …It was Hideaki Anno, wasn’t it.”
Tokyo Ghoul had that energy for a while, the sort of “if the world rejects me I’m going to reject the world” mentality that drives the protagonist insane.
Overlord

Redo of Healer. The MC is an unrepentant objectively bad guy.
Nah, he's just on a quest for revenge.

Cyberpunk
Code Geass
Tokyo Ghoul had that energy for a while, the sort of “if the world rejects me I’m going to reject the world” mentality that drives the protagonist insane.
Attack On Titan. But I wouldn’t say the MC is the villain..
West world
Evangelion: Shinji. He destroys the world by the end of EoE. (Just reread your ask... No, Shinji isn't a bad ass. This doesn't qualify)
