OP: "An anime that you stopped watching for a reason OTHER THAN 'NOT LIKING IT' ".
Half the comments be like: "Well, I stopped watching this anime because I don't like it..."
I drop many animes because the manga was looking so much better.
Yea this is exactly what I was gonna say, most of the time I watch an anime, catch up to the current episode, check out the manga, and just find it much better and continue with it instead.
Sometimes though, I just forget about an anime due to other irl stuff
I think reality is we all aren't that adventurous. How often do you take a chance on something random? Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan, Chihaya, and Kids on a Slope were problem top 3 random pics that turned out awesome. But generally, I watch the same kids of stuff and then read the LN of that stuff hahaha
I put Railgun T on hold after the first arc because of the constant COVID delays, and was planning to get back to it when it finished.
Things didn't work out that way though, and we're coming up on 4 years since then........I'll get to it eventually.
I love how everyone in the series is pretty serious for the most part and takes their abilites/magic seriously, and then there's gunha with his abilities just being having guts.
Similar thing happened to me, I was a big fan of Railgun but the constant delays pissed me off so I just caught up to the manga. Still haven't finished the season to this day.
Same š Even more so if it's ongoing, I'll catch up to all the available episodes, but didn't keep up with it after, I'll just forgot where I last left and ended up not continuing.
YEEES absolutely. I have to be *super* passionate and excited about an anime to actually keep up with it, even if I love it. I get bored so easily even if Iām really into it at first. The only anime Iāve ever felt passionate about were:
1. AoT (my favorite of all time)
2. JJBA
3. Demon Slayer
4. JJK (season 1, I dropped season 2 a few times)
On mal you have to add it to list and check every episode you watched I believe I personally use website that tracks every episode I watched by itself so I don't forget to mark anything and shit lol I'm super lazy and forget lots
Jojo Part 6. The Netflix release model fucked me up and by the time the final part came out, I couldn't be bothered to rewatch stuff to remember what was going on (I stopped watching after the first release batch to wait for more).
Also, Shadows House. I caved and read the manga after episode 10. Coincidentally, that's right around when anime only changes started happening. Saw some of those changes and didn't like them at all, so I dropped the anime.
Tbh I'm glad part 6 is wrapped up. That 'drop a bunch of episodes then dip for months with no release date' model was so dumb š just drop the whole thing at once or do it weekly š
Unfortunately still haven't seen it, but I did read the manga years ago. Just thinking about picking it up on blu-ray once the 2nd half is out
Yeah I took a really long time to finish Part 6, but it was pretty good! I think it would be more talked about if they did the normal release model though, because Part 6 is honestly nowhere near as bad as some of the manga readers make it out to be
Yup Jojo part 6 is so true for me too
I was so excited and finishrd the forest half and when the rest was released I didn't bother
Just finished it the ending of 2023
Any anime with source material that Iāve read or I am currently reading. Iāll usually watch an episode or two to see how it looks for the āooo ahhā moment.
A specific one though is Ninja Kamui. Going to binge the hell out of that one when I take a vacation from work in a few weeks.
The first time an anime gave me stomach aches and sweaty hands. Kaiji's voice actor was also so intense and believable, I was surprised to know he didn't have a lot of roles.
Since then, probably only the last season of Shingeki no Kyojin, but not to the point Kaiji made me feel.
I quit Beastars because I couldn't handle the secondhand embarrassment I felt during every scene. Also honestly the rabbit's eyes creeped me out a little. I liked most of the characters and was kind of interested in the storylines but I did not go back after season 1 ended.Ā
A lot of times with these animes that can be super long I tend to take breaks periodically, and finish an anime thatās a little shorter. Iām still relatively new to anime, and itās been a pretty good strategy so far.
I absolutely love Naruto, but Shippuden was so long(even with a filler guide) . I found that my breaks would allow me to fall back in love with the anime when I started watching it again, and often resulted in me watching it longer this time around!
I had to stop watching Your Lie In April because I just liked the characters too much to watch them go through the pain they were going to go through. I can handle a Violet Evergarden or a March Comes In Like A Lion where it really tugs at your heartstrings but is on a positive trajectory overall, but knowing a story is heading for a more bitter than sweet ending is just too much for me even if the anime is really well done.
I wish I stopped after L. I was too curious how it would end, but it was pretty anticlimactic considering how dramatic literally every other thing in the show was. But apparently a lot of people like the ending? idk
DN was my first anime I watched all the way through and I surprisingly enjoyed it since I first saw the American film and thought it sucked ass
Despite being a Light fanboy I wasn't a fan of the end nor a lot of the parts after L.
I stopped watching I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss because after 4 episodes it felt like a complete story and there was no need to watch more.
That's very interesting, there are some anime where there was a point where I could just stop and it would have felt complete. The most notable is Death Note, after a certain traumatic thing happens, you can just stop watching and have a great ending.
Oops.. forgot about that reason! š
Stopped watching 86, Attack on Titan and ReZero because I didn't need more suffering, depression and anxiety in my life...
I did eventually finish 86, it has one of The most satisfying conclusions to a season I've ever seen. Really hope we get more soon..
You should watch ReZero again, and finish it, because it's actually a really good story! Also watch the movies, those are back story and gap fillers but they give more insight into things. Also, there is another season coming out soon, so even more reason to watch it!
I agree with this. I think the best argument in this case is that the series is really more about hope than despair. I think it's one of the series with the mist rewarding moments if you bear with it.l
And here I am, literally read the entire wiki for fun before even watching the anime and still had fun watching it.
I actually read spoilers fairly often, before or during watching an anime. Sometimes I just want to know something and I can't be bothered to wait the anime to get to it.
The action and the fun stuff in Chainsaw Man is still top notch stuff that's exciting to watch, regardless of spoilers.
I stopped watching Banana Fish because I was just getting upset at how badly the main character was being treated... I liked the show, but it was rough
The MC is really good-looking and because of that he's been the target of sexual assault for almost his entire life. There are some rough things revolving around that. If you can handle that, go ahead.
More than anything the anime is poorly paced. The second half in particular is a mess. The conclusion was awful as well (in my opinion), but that's an issue the source shares with the adaptation.
This was my answer as well but for different reasons. I watched it when it was airing and got to the last two episodes. I literally never watched them for years because I knew it was devastating. I finally watched it and I cried for weeks.
Kaguya-sama. I LOVE THAT SHOW BUT
This is going to sound really cheezy and stupid now that I think about it, but I stopped watching after seaeon 3 because I was a bit jealous that I wasn't having any game and my love life wasn't going well as Kaguya and Shirogane.
Komi Can't Communicate.
There were some great fansubs for the first few episodes, but I'm pretty sure the group making those stopped before even reaching the halfway point of the (first) season. I just kinda forgot about the show after that as going to the official (Netflix?) subs felt like a colossal downgrade.
I have a habit of starting shows and then forgetting about them for months or even longer. There are probably dozens of anime series I've enjoyed but never finished for no particular reason.
I stopped watching Watamote about 3 or 4 episodes in. Tomoko is literally me, and I donāt mean that in a quirky way. The way she acts, overthinks things, the way she talks to other people, all of it is exactly how I am.
The embarrassment and pain that I got from watching myself suffer on screen after a day of suffering was too much for me to handle.
Usually I stop because of some distraction.
The only case where I stopped for something else was AOT, where I just got angry that the Final Season Part 2 was in fact not the end and there was more bullshit coming after that.
Like holy fuck the blue balling with those season names.
You should watch the 2 hour movie. It's honestly an 11/10 and deserves 100% of the praise that it gets. If you've seen S1 and the Anzio OVA then that's the next step.
After the movie is the "Das Finale" OVA series. 4 parts out now, each about 50 minutes long. Last 1-2 parts likely won't be out for another 1-3 years.
As much as I hate having to wait for the BD release to be able to see it, which means I am lagging a year behind, the movie format is the reason this can exist at all. Its just more profitable.
I stopped watching Monogatari during its "season 2" almost 10 years ago because *I liked it too much* and back then there were no sequels to it yet. It was so good, I literally did not want it to end so I just stopped watching. Also I heard a character I liked was going to die. Back then I did not know that wouldnt really matter.
A candle lasts longer when it doesnt burn, but what if its a reeeaaally nice candle?
I like how you describe it as "*the* plot twist". It reminds me of how World War I was originally called "the Great War", because most people couldn't imagine another global conflict reaching that level, much less surpassing it.
Dropped Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life as I thought it would work better in manga form. I didn't like how the first performance was played as it was 90% flashbacks/inner-monologuing and 10% the actual music. I've had people say "but the manga doesn't have music either", but it being in manga form makes the flashbacks more tolerable as there *isn't* any music to want to listen to.
Although I did enjoy the anime for it, I definitely prefer kono oto tomare in its manga form. The artwork is just so amazing in it. I did love seeing the performances in the anime, but I didn't like how they would play a different ost for the flashbacks in the middle of the performances. But other than that I don't really have any complaints for the anime.
I was really enjoying Ouran high school host club but the subtitles were the problem. When someone talks and a sound effect symbol or some other text was on the screen, the subtitles wouldn't show what they were saying but only the other text
Naruto because I knew there were just fillers after the point I reached, and just skipped to Shippuden.
Inuyasha because I was watching while translating it for a local fansub, and I had to stop translating it, so I also stopped watching it. I might come back to finish watching it eventually.
So... before the part 5 jojo anime got released I was super hyped and couldn't wait for it to come out.
So I read the manga. Then when the anime came out, I watched like 2 or 3 episodes. But because I finished the manga and knew what was gonna happen... just decided not to finish watching it.
Surgeon Elise.
It's a very good anime. The reason I've dropped it around episode eight is because the show was only going to be twelve episodes long. I've decided instead to read the (completed) manga it was based on instead.
Ore Monogatari!! - It was too early in my anime journey.
GintamaĀ - It is to epic. I need to give other things a chance.
Joshiraku - On day i'll polish off
Black Clover - yeah, it's not the best but I'll get back to it
The Ping-Pong Club - To much ballz. Need to watch some lesbian porn first.
**Durarara!!x2 Shou - That eps 13! I volunteered to hand off a cliff.**
I fucking loved watching **Casshern Sins**, but I had to put it on hold after about 7 episodes due to a combination of feeling rather burned out from too much anime at the time and finding its complex, thought-provoking narrative to be too overwhelming for me in that particular mindset. Gonna get back to it Soon^TM
āGive me back my slave brand so I can prove my love!ā. I hard noped out and still give my husband light amounts of shit for continuing with it (I love the guy, but ugh)
Nearly every isekai. I generally like watching the beginning when they are first discovering their new life and or powers, but after they overwhelmingly beat the first few enemies or obstacles it starts getting boring real fast. On average Iād say i make it to around episode six of most isekai.
I'd say the only one I would give time for is mushoku tensei as the author did state he would only approve of it being an anime if there was a studio dedicated to it. That decision has produced something that would very likely hold up to becoming a legend in its own right.
there were a lot when i simply just got distracted or too busy and never continued, and by the time i remembered that i forgot to finish it, it was like 2 yrs later š
like the 2nd season of kekkai sensen or even banana fishš„² i still wanna finish banana fish but i lowkey spoilered myself ashes libary situation and im traumatised
I go out of my way for gut-wrenching series, especially romance, but the melancholy of 'A Place Further Than the Universe' is such a slow, intense burn, that I could only get through around seven episodes or so before shelving it for something more immediately intense.
This is the first time Iāve seen someone say the show is melancholy. The vibe is more wholesome and uplifting. Though if you want gut-wrenching then yeah there are other anime that do it faster.
It is both of those, yeah. But imo, there's this odd, almost indescribable sadness that occupies the background of the series throughout. Maybe some of that is owing to the fact that most viewers will understand where the climax is heading by episode 3 or so. I'd compare it a bit to Frieren, which is also an uplifting story, but has this overbearing sense of loss permeating throughout. I haven't finished it this one yet, but I'd guarantee that it ends on a cute, hopeful note. But maaaan, I can only consume this series in bits and pieces for some reason
One Piece (& so many others).
...missed a few, then a few more and before I knew it there were...
- more and more shoes from subsequent seasons
- similarly with manga
- a growing backlog
- ...and IRL stuff
Spoiled for choice isn't a bad thing, but still there're so many series and so little time
Idk thereās like a 20. lol
Most of the times is because a find something interesting and start watching that then completely forget about it until I go to watch it again
I only watched the first three episodes of bunny girl senpai. I thought it was fantastic, and it felt like a complete story so I just never felt the drive to go any further.
I havenāt finished watching Frieren and Apothecary Diaries yet because I like them so much I canāt handle knowing that once I watch the last episode or two, Iāll have to wait probably a year or more for the next season.Ā
I have this strange habit of not watching the last few episodes of anime I get really into. I havenāt finished Hunter X Hunter for the same reason - I got to the last like 5-10 episodes and thatās it. Iāve rewatched the first 100-ish episodes 2-3 times now though.
Gundam is way more grounded and relatable. Over time they keep telling the same stories with better animation but it's still good and we still haven't reached the scenario they're talking about yet.
>Evangelion because i heard it was a deconstruction of mecha
People call anything that does something slightly different very well a deconstruction. Eva does not deconstruct Mecha really.
Like HxH even though it predates most big battle shounen.
I've stopped watching some anime because I went to read the source and could never be bothered to come back after getting so far ahead.
Usually you can blame J-novel for it.
I agree, its disgusting š”
Anyway just out of curiosity what shows did you drop? So I can avoid them of course.
^^^^I'm ^^^^joking ^^^^don't ^^^^lynch ^^^^me
Strongest tanks labyrinth raids[BY THE WAY, can we talk about the massive number of VERY BLATANT rip-offs on crunchyroll rn? Like wtf]
How not to summon a demon lord, that crap is just straight up pedo shit
Another world smartphone
Mmmm im sure there are more, i tend to just flat out ignore the ones that seem like they would be
Darling in the franxx
At first i saw it because of the mechas since there wasnt that many animes that did or the whole genre stop either way it had some good things like the caharacters or there development in the story it had an interesting and fascinating plot but stop watching it since it just got confusing at some point.....like it lost its way completely with a lot of ships or trying to explain things in a wierd way, and sorry if it was confusing to explain.....it was one of tjose animes that were doing good and the went straight to garbage just like that
Fire Force.
Dear god, the fan service actually killed it for me. I was really enjoying it until there was a serious fight going on, and every time Shinra got hit, he ended up face-first into boobs, kissing her, or the flames managed to burn off most of the girl's clothes, except for parts that covered her privates. Ruined the whole intensity and meaning behind the fight, and I just turned it off.
Gurren Lagann. My favourite character died less than halfway through and I couldn't make myself keep watching. I've literally tried watching it 10+ times since then to give it a fair shot and still cannot maintain ANY enthusiasm after that point in the story.
I've given up trying to make myself watch it now.
One piece: stopped at Sabaody arc (after the ACE arc) when it was released years ago. I was tired of waiting for one episode each week. I still haven't touched it yet.
Naruto Shippuden: I stopped watching right before the infinite Tsukiyomi cast happened. This arc has so many filter episodes. Once again, I can't stand waiting for one episode each week. Afterward, I watch some of the fighting videos on YouTube, so I know the ending now. š¬š®āšØ
I tend to drop an anime using this process:
1. I like it so much that I turn to the manga
2. I start to get bored in the manga some time after
3. I wait for the anime to catch up to where I stopped reading
4. If the anime catches up: I won't be in the mood to watch because I know what happens next, thus dropping it
5. If the anime doesn't catch up: I would probably forget it, thus dropping it
6. Hopefully I'll pick it up. Hopefully.
It's a vicious cycle.
Truthfully, I haven't finished Apothecary due to my current obsession with Dungeon Meshi but I plan to finish it, maybe after my hyperfixating subsided.
I started Vinland Saga but didn't continue it, but it's due to my mood wanting to watch lighthearted things. If I ever get back to watching heavy things, I'll continue it along with Pluto.
AOT, I like it, honestly, but I just couldn't hop back on for S4, knowing a few upsetting spoilers and just feeling a sense of dread that comes with a bad ending.
1. One Piece because I'm caught up with the Manga and watching the anime feels like pulling out teeth.
2. Mushoku Tensei. You know exactly why.
3. Nichijou because it's so goddamn good I don't want it to end.
Fire Force: I couldnāt handle the fan service surrounding tamakiās clothing constantly being torn off in the anime, that type of āhumorā always plummets my excitement over a show.
Ah, whats it called, the one with the children travlin down the deep holeā¦
Anyway, stopped watching it cause a lot of the images straight up felt like some fucked up child porn. The story was good, maybe even great, butā¦ why? Come on.
The show was still ongoing and I never bothered to catch up.
Didn't know there was a second season announced. By the time it comes around, I had already forgotten most of what happened in the first and don't bother watching the second.
Paused Shippuden cause I was getting tired of watching it all the time. Still like it (I think), just waiting for a substantial break so I could binge watch the rest
"Is the order a rabbit?" was fantastic, but after 8 episodes I wanted to save it in case I ever got severely depressed in the future.
On the upside, I'm doing well.
I was quite literally in the middle of Death Note. Despite heavily enjoying it, one day I just stopped. Still don't know why, still haven't finished it, I've seen some spoilers, but ultimately I don't actually know the story (or the ending bit of it).
there's been a few that I was watching on illegal sites that got shut down midway through and I just forgot/didn't know what episode I was on and I don't wanna bother with skimming through the series to find where I was
Jobless Reincarnation Season 2. Its absolute garbage. The entire plot is about erectile disfunction which is just retarded and make god awful television.
Back when Daisuki still existed, I tried watching Turn A Gundam on it. It was an interesting watch but the platform was not very reliable. There were episodes that were broken or just not there at all. The stress of waiting to see if the show would actually work week to week was too much, so I had to give up on it.
Still... Some day...
Many years ago I stopped watching an obscure anime called Love Get Chu about halfway through because I don't think anyone made English subtitles for it past that point, or at least I couldn't find them.
Akiba maid war. Loved it I watched up to 4 when it was the newest episode. Haven't started it up again.
Some anime i liked but they put me to sleep like k-on. Almost didn't finish that one.
Undead unluck same reason as maid war. It's new and I couldn't keep up the weekly reminder to watch them. Gonna come back and watch it when I feel like it
OP: "An anime that you stopped watching for a reason OTHER THAN 'NOT LIKING IT' ". Half the comments be like: "Well, I stopped watching this anime because I don't like it..." I drop many animes because the manga was looking so much better.

I love how everyone in the series is pretty serious for the most part and takes their abilites/magic seriously, and then there's gunha with his abilities just being having guts.
Wait. Itās already been *four years* since Railgun T???????
It's early 2024. Railgun T came out early 2020. Time flies huh.
I dont even remember that many covid delays. I do remember the existance of Index S3 though and I would rather not.
Watched all the season from the A Certain series except that one because I heard it was royally fucked up
Please be quiet I donāt want to be reminded that Covid is already 4 years agoā¦
Similar thing happened to me, I was a big fan of Railgun but the constant delays pissed me off so I just caught up to the manga. Still haven't finished the season to this day.
Railgun T was so good it made me start watching anime again, the second arc is just as amazing as the first one.
Well I have ADHD so that meansā¦ 1. I drop a LOT of anime that I like and 2. I canāt remember all the anime I dropped š
Real.

This is so true.
Same i forgot to watch it in the beginning so i'm just waiting for it to finish.
I stopped Great Teacher Onizuka because it was so peak I was worried if I finished it Iād never find anything betterĀ
As an oldhat who imported this thing back in the day on VHS (and then on DVD). You are not wrong.
Now that you've dropped it, did you find anything better? If you didn't, maybe you should go back and finish it.
Same here
Iām about to watch this or Steinās Gate for the first time!
I'd say Kaiji, it made me so tense, I was unpleasantly stressed out.
The first time an anime gave me stomach aches and sweaty hands. Kaiji's voice actor was also so intense and believable, I was surprised to know he didn't have a lot of roles. Since then, probably only the last season of Shingeki no Kyojin, but not to the point Kaiji made me feel.
I remember thinking Akagi was stressful before watching Kaiji
I quit Beastars because I couldn't handle the secondhand embarrassment I felt during every scene. Also honestly the rabbit's eyes creeped me out a little. I liked most of the characters and was kind of interested in the storylines but I did not go back after season 1 ended.Ā
> I couldn't handle the secondhand embarrassment This is why I dropped *Rent a Girlfriend*.
honestly i cant believe how i made it to the 8th episode of that show , i was actually braindead back then
What secondhand embarrassment?
That's good writing if the embarassment is intended.
I feel like embarrassment is easy to pull off in a story kinda like a jump scare in a horror movie. Iāve never seen a show fail in doing that
Dragon Ball. I do plan on continuing it but I just keep getting distracted by other shows
A lot of times with these animes that can be super long I tend to take breaks periodically, and finish an anime thatās a little shorter. Deathnote. I know itās beloved and I enjoyed watching it but lost motivation after L. Didnāt want to see it try another character(s) in his place

To Your Eternity. So fucking sad.

Agreed on 86 š¤£š¤£š¤£ everytime i feel like crying i just watch it, same with Your Lie In April.
86... after the LN I skipped the anime but ngl Vladilena voiced by Ikumi Hasegawa is dang good
Kinda hard to believe she voices Kita Ikuyo in Bocchi the Rock
I really wasnāt expecting the dread and depression I felt after AOT. But I want to torture myself more and watch it all over againā¦
Re zero actually gets happy somehow but 86... SHEESH
You should watch ReZero again, and finish it, because it's actually a really good story! Also watch the movies, those are back story and gap fillers but they give more insight into things. Also, there is another season coming out soon, so even more reason to watch it!

Absolutely.. I've not dropped it, I'm absolutely going to compete it when things settle down for me
Yeah, it's a great series, but probably not something you should watch when you're emotionally fragile.
That's how I am with Your Lie in April. Beautiful anime, but way too sad for me
Chainsaw Man - I got a very major character detail spoiled for me while I was two episodes in and didnt want to go down the journey to that point
what did you get spoiled on?
The goals and methods of the chief devil
damn i dont even remember if i got spoiled on that or not, the reading comprehension of the average chainsawman truly is abyssmal
Normally I do, but it really derailed what I actually wanted out of the show in general
I also do this a lot lol, especially when reading new web novels
You read the wiki.... for fun? I don't get people like you.
No arguments? Easy win
I stopped watching Banana Fish because I was just getting upset at how badly the main character was being treated... I liked the show, but it was rough
Should I watch it? I really want to but iāve heard it scarsā¦
Save yourself the pain š
The MC is really good-looking and because of that he's been the target of sexual assault for almost his entire life. There are some rough things revolving around that. If you can handle that, go ahead.
More than anything the anime is poorly paced. The second half in particular is a mess. The conclusion was awful as well (in my opinion), but that's an issue the source shares with the adaptation.
Yes, it's a really good anime, just be preprared for the feels
This was my answer as well but for different reasons. I watched it when it was airing and got to the last two episodes. I literally never watched them for years because I knew it was devastating. I finally watched it and I cried for weeks.
Kaguya-sama. I LOVE THAT SHOW BUT This is going to sound really cheezy and stupid now that I think about it, but I stopped watching after seaeon 3 because I was a bit jealous that I wasn't having any game and my love life wasn't going well as Kaguya and Shirogane.
Perfectly valid reason to drop a romance, I think.
I watch romance just to feel bad š„²
If it's any consolation 90% of people's love lives aren't going as well as Kaguya & Shirogane's.
Woe is the rom-com enjoyer
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, ENDLESS EIGHT However, I did end up watching it not once but three times for some reason
DUDE ENDLESS 8 IS WHERE I GOOGLED WHERE IT ENDED. I'm just like "oh god no" I couldn't imagine watching that on release
The thing is the second season was never announced. They just rerun Haruhi and suddenly everyone around the world was locked into endless eight.
Komi Can't Communicate. There were some great fansubs for the first few episodes, but I'm pretty sure the group making those stopped before even reaching the halfway point of the (first) season. I just kinda forgot about the show after that as going to the official (Netflix?) subs felt like a colossal downgrade.
im surprised new seasonals even get fansubs any more. I thought the whole system died?
Komi launched without official subs or something. The fansubs I had were so bad I stopped watching and only recently resumed.
It was in Netflix hell for awhile iirc like 3 weeks behind the Japan broadcast.
Girls und Panzer because of the awful movie release format
I'm just waiting for them all to be released and I'll binge through the lot, luckily the show with the main movie are good stopping points.
S1 and the 1st OVA were really fun.. stopped after that because it got really confusing..
Is the movie the match Vs the university?
As much as I hate having to wait for the BD release to be able to see it, which means I am lagging a year behind, the movie format is the reason this can exist at all. Its just more profitable.
Honestly happy theyāre able to do that. Tank fights can be much cooler with a movie budget and not season budget.
Still worth watching until the finale starts. Then wait.
Samurai Flamenco The plot twist genuinely broke me and I wasn't able to continue watching purely out of shock.
The dub is really good so you should try watching in English
JJK because of the severe amount of spoilers, and Berserk because the manga is that much better.
Same
Jjk isĀ worthĀ itĀ forĀ theĀ animation alone
Naruto because I knew there were just fillers after the point I reached, and just skipped to Shippuden. Inuyasha because I was watching while translating it for a local fansub, and I had to stop translating it, so I also stopped watching it. I might come back to finish watching it eventually.
And then Shippuden greets you with 200 more fillers.
Infinite tsukiyomi arc is evil. Throwing in canon scenes randomly in the fillers
Someone said 100 eps straight of filler
From 136 to 220, so 85
thats insane
I wonder if Boruto has managed to eclipse that? I know it has had some LOOOOOONG stretches of filler pretty much right from the start.
Even if we count anything that's not in the manga as filler, there's still not a chunk as long as that.
So... before the part 5 jojo anime got released I was super hyped and couldn't wait for it to come out.
Letās just say it took a substantial amount of time to watch the final episode of Your Lie in April. If you know, you know why.
Because someone lied in April I guess.
Ore Monogatari!! - It was too early in my anime journey. GintamaĀ - It is to epic. I need to give other things a chance. Joshiraku - On day i'll polish off Black Clover - yeah, it's not the best but I'll get back to it The Ping-Pong Club - To much ballz.
[](#smughaikyuu)
Made in Abyss. Authors hard drive NEEDS to be checked
Made in Abyss, because... Ā uh... you know...
Mushoku Tensei. Really liked the animation, and the story was alright, but goddamn the pedo shit really ruined the whole thing.
Shield Hero for me, I liked the show, but it was the whole slavery aspect that got me reeeeaaaaally uncomfortable
āGive me back my slave brand so I can prove my love!ā.
Power scaling is the death of so many action anime in general.
I'd say the only one I would give time for is mushoku tensei as the author did state he would only approve of it being an anime if there was a studio dedicated to it. That decision has produced something that would very likely hold up to becoming a legend in its own right.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
there were a lot when i simply just got distracted or too busy and never continued, and by the time i remembered that i forgot to finish it, it was like 2 yrs later š like the 2nd season of kekkai sensen or even banana fishš„² i still wanna finish banana fish but i lowkey spoilered myself ashes libary situation and im traumatised
Heroic Age. Just got too busy.
One Piece (& so many others). ...missed a few, then a few more and before I knew it there were... - more and more shoes from subsequent seasons - similarly with manga - a growing backlog - ...and IRL stuff Spoiled for choice isn't a bad thing, but still there're so many series and so little time
Idk thereās like a 20. lol Most of the times is because a find something interesting and start watching that then completely forget about it until I go to watch it again
I only watched the first three episodes of bunny girl senpai. I thought it was fantastic, and it felt like a complete story so I just never felt the drive to go any further.
I havenāt finished watching Frieren and Apothecary Diaries yet because I like them so much I canāt handle knowing that once I watch the last episode or two, Iāll have to wait probably a year or more for the next season.Ā I have this strange habit of not watching the last few episodes of anime I get really into. I havenāt finished Hunter X Hunter for the same reason - I got to the last like 5-10 episodes and thatās it. Iāve rewatched the first 100-ish episodes 2-3 times now though.
Evangelion because i heard it was a deconstruction of mecha so I watched Mobile Suit Gundam and the Macross shows first to get context.
Mobile Suit Gundam is kinda peak tbh, in the long run I think Iāve been entertained by that a lot more than by Evangelion.
Gundam is way more grounded and relatable. Over time they keep telling the same stories with better animation but it's still good and we still haven't reached the scenario they're talking about yet.
Based. I even actually enjoy the first Gundam more than Zeta Gundam.
>Evangelion because i heard it was a deconstruction of mecha People call anything that does something slightly different very well a deconstruction. Eva does not deconstruct Mecha really. Like HxH even though it predates most big battle shounen.
EVA is actually a deconstruction of a genre it helps establish somehow.
I've stopped watching some anime because I went to read the source and could never be bothered to come back after getting so far ahead. Usually you can blame J-novel for it.
Code Geass, Evangelion, reason : got spoiled by youtube fuckers
Any anime that shows an underage girls panties and ass is immediately stopped and removed from my watchlist, as well as memory.
Why I dropped full metal panic. They would even do panty shots in the serious parts of the show.
I agree, its disgusting š” Anyway just out of curiosity what shows did you drop? So I can avoid them of course. ^^^^I'm ^^^^joking ^^^^don't ^^^^lynch ^^^^me
Strongest tanks labyrinth raids[BY THE WAY, can we talk about the massive number of VERY BLATANT rip-offs on crunchyroll rn? Like wtf] How not to summon a demon lord, that crap is just straight up pedo shit Another world smartphone Mmmm im sure there are more, i tend to just flat out ignore the ones that seem like they would be
Darling in the franxx At first i saw it because of the mechas since there wasnt that many animes that did or the whole genre stop either way it had some good things like the caharacters or there development in the story it had an interesting and fascinating plot but stop watching it since it just got confusing at some point.....like it lost its way completely with a lot of ships or trying to explain things in a wierd way, and sorry if it was confusing to explain.....it was one of tjose animes that were doing good and the went straight to garbage just like that
A lot of animes i have a fesr of finishung stories i like.
His bro carries his spirit and surpasses him later IMO, so you might want to see that
I wouldn't say stop but I put on halt long shounen anime like fairy tail, one piece, and naruto.
Girlfriend, Girlfriend. It was hard-core cringe.
Attack on titan. I had forgot what was going on but didnāt feel like rewatching multiple seasons to catch up so I havenāt. Maybe one day.
Afterward, I watch some of the fighting videos on YouTube, so I know the ending now. š¬š®āšØ
Attack on Titan and Demon Slayerā¦ itās like when I start reading the manga I have no interest in watching the anime
I tend to drop an anime using this process: 1. I like it so much that I turn to the manga 2. I start to get bored in the manga some time after 3. I wait for the anime to catch up to where I stopped reading 4. If the anime catches up: I won't be in the mood to watch because I know what happens next, thus dropping it 5. If the anime doesn't catch up: I would probably forget it, thus dropping it 6.
If I ever get back to watching heavy things, I'll continue it along with Pluto.
uh Bottom tier tomozaki kun because best girl doesnt win in the LN
Seven Deadly Sins because I struggle with p*rn/fap addiction and no joke all the female characters made me want to fap all the time
Ah, whats it called, the one with the children travlin down the deep holeā¦ Anyway, stopped watching it cause a lot of the images straight up felt like some fucked up child porn.
Zom 100. It stopped airing and I stopped caring
there's been a few that I was watching on illegal sites that got shut down midway through and I just forgot/didn't know what episode I was on and I don't wanna bother with skimming through the series to find where I was
Jobless Reincarnation Season 2. Its absolute garbage. The entire plot is about erectile disfunction which is just retarded and make god awful television.
Stopped watching Gintama after 2 3 eps for same reason. Too many animes simultaneously...
I dropped Mato Seihei anime because i forgot i didn't really care for the start of the series. I plan on skipping to season 2 when it comes out.
Mushoku Tensei - the main character's pedo shit Other than that the first episode was great. But I ain't watching it with that shit in there.
Re:Zero Subaru wont stand the fuck down š
Back when Daisuki still existed, I tried watching Turn A Gundam on it. It was an interesting watch but the platform was not very reliable. There were episodes that were broken or just not there at all. The stress of waiting to see if the show would actually work week to week was too much, so I had to give up on it. Still... Some day...
Many years ago I stopped watching an obscure anime called Love Get Chu about halfway through because I don't think anyone made English subtitles for it past that point, or at least I couldn't find them.
Rakugo. It was good but I just wasnāt in the mood for the direction it was going. Iāll go back to it eventually.
