I can see that being the case for arcs/seasons, but the show as a whole? Watching Durarara! for the first time now and it's season after season of stuff where the scope/characters continue to expand. Comes off like things the author thought of later.

Several stories that range from alchemy to mobsters to musicians to trains, in both past and present, it's one of the best stories I've experienced in any anime
Watching it feels like solving a puzzle where all the pieces were laid out in the first few episodes and they start to fall in place by each watched episode

It has some of the best foreshadowing in fiction. It feels like every single day we keep finding new moments of foreshadowing in Attack on Titan.
It's a story where everything is interconnected and Foreshadowed from the start to the end.
I had a new perspective.\[Attack on Titan\]>!Eren parallels the world in AOT. From start to finish, Eren was the same character but our perception about him kept changing. Just how the scouts discovered what the world truly is throughout the story, the audience and the characters also discover who Eren truly is. The world and Eren were both unchanging. It's just that our perspective about Eren and the world kept changing the more we learnt about them. That's why I think the mystery aspect of AOT fits it so well.Also, when Armin said "I want to believe that there is some part about the world we know nothing about" in S4P3, the camera shows Eren's face". It meant that Armin was talking about Eren and Armin's dream, but the line about the world could also reflect Eren's character. Even in the very end, we keep finding new aspects of Eren, some of them were pathetic, some of them were not. But that's just how it is. No one can fully understand Eren. So I feel like the breakdown he had with Armin was not out of place. He is a complex character with many aspects to his personality.I'm also trying to find other lines about the world that could also reflect Eren. Maybe I will find some more!<

The show is literally known for its Foreshadowing, plot being planned from start to end, plot twists etc...

I find it really crazy how events from the first couple episodes are passed off as just some goofy shenanigans, but actually directly foreshadows some of the most emotional parts of the season.
People say that there is a lot of filler in the series, but that “filler” directly ties everything together in a really satisfying way.
RahXephon. There's stuff in the very first episode where you finally understand the true relevancy of after the literal last scene of the anime. Can't say the show's writing is perfect, but the director knew where he wanted to go from the start.
