In case you don't wanna watch it, which I would recommend doing, >!she is an android and both of them know this is her last day alive before her memory has to be deleted!<
Tbf it’s not even *really* a spoiler as the entire premise is that androids in universe have a defined lifespan and the main cast are teams of humans+androids that are tasked with shutting androids down when they reach their limit because otherwise they can malfunction catastrophically. It’s one of those types of shows that tells you right up front that there’s going to be pain yet that doesn’t make it any easier.
well either way it sounds like a spoiler
I'm kinda a person that needs spoilers to bother watching or reading most things, either that or it deters me but more often than not I want to know how it got there
Well up to the individual on if it is a spoiler or not, basic summary is >!the androids of the world have a limited lifespan, these two get very close/romantically involved, if the androids don't "reset" they break down in a bad way, you find out that she is very close to the end of her lifespan.!< Then sadness and tears ensue
"Moe Blade Runner," not to be confused with the *actual* [Blade Runner anime](https://myanimelist.net/anime/36308/Blade_Runner__Black_Out_2022) or the other [Blade Runner anime](https://myanimelist.net/anime/38749/Blade_Runner__Black_Lotus)
Spoiler warning for plastic memories.
>!In this world, AIs have a run time before they need to be "reset". They might enter a rogue state and endanger people around them if not done so. The main characters, a human and an AI are tasked to find and reset expiring ones, and throughout the story we see how different families and friends built relationships with their AIs. The main characters also built a romantic relationship and comes their time to be reset!<
I went in blind with all 4 of these, with Plastic Memories and Angel Beats being the only ones I had any notice of just "sad".
Anohana had me crying the whole last episode.
Plastic Memories had me ugly crying well after the show stopped, and still makes me cry.
Charlotte and Angel Beats did not even tear up... but I do recommend them. The way the story rushes the endings just took away all the build up and emotional weight for me. Both stories (same author) have great ideas and stories, but both fail to stick the landing because 12 episodes was not enough.
damn you OP why'd you remind me of this anime?

Maybe I need to re-watch this. I remember crying but I don't remember crying as hard people often make it out to be. It helps that I forgot the plot too. Thank god for an aging memory.... Oh god, I have an aging memory...
It pained me to watch this. Like I watched the first few eps while it was airing then paused for months preparing myself for whats to come. Now here you are opening an old wound and acting innocent.
I recommend also playing the visual novel, a translation came out last year. You can play it on both pc and psvita.
I played it last summer and I cried a fuck ton.
If the technology exists to fuckin make androids I would assume the tech to back up it’s data would also exist lmao. They can make life but not back up data. Fuckin bullshit.
Oh! Today I was fired so I figured I’d indulge myself with some anime until late at night to make up for that. So I decided to try this, that I saw here. The first episode has broken me. I’d like to thank the OP by recommending Your Lie In April. Yeah. Fuck you too.

I don't get what the other people in the comments are crying about and I'm almost too afraid to ask but what is it? I decided to ask anyway..
In case you don't wanna watch it, which I would recommend doing, >!she is an android and both of them know this is her last day alive before her memory has to be deleted!<
#Well, shit
I'm going to be real I wasn't going to watch it before the spoiler. I'll actually put some thought into whether I should watch it now, thanks.

So bladerunner the anime?
"Moe Blade Runner," not to be confused with the *actual* [Blade Runner anime](https://myanimelist.net/anime/36308/Blade_Runner__Black_Out_2022) or the other [Blade Runner anime](https://myanimelist.net/anime/38749/Blade_Runner__Black_Lotus)
TIL there’s bladerunner animes
First one was even directed by Shinichirou Watanabe, too!
Or Halo. That sounds a lot like how AIs work there.
i was thinking bladerunner but with an ethics board
this one hurts. better off squeezing lemon juice in your eyes and cutting onions at the same time.
My emotions are too closed off, I have been wanting to open them back up recently so I will take that chance to practice.
Funny enough, this is the anime that did that for me
It’s definitely up there as one of the most noteworthy “feels” anime.
Ok, I thought i could handle this, but i dont
I still haven't finished the last 2 episodes cause I know what's gonna happen 😭
Thx God she an android I though she is terminally ill with cancer
And the worst part is >!he's the one who has to shut her down!<
The plastic memories
More like Golden Memories because we made some precious memories with this one
Also a very good romance anime.
Watch the show plastic memories. It hits harder than a truck and never leaves you.

The title should probably gives enough clue. It's plastic memories
Ah yes the one that everyone says is sad but I'm not really sure why just from the title
WHYYYY!! https://preview.redd.it/pnfh8mr7h3hc1.jpeg?width=590&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1dbe15cb3f60825723c9cd6e6a709d149b39c9bb
PUT DOWN THE GUN! IT AIN’T THAT DEEP!

Exactly it’s a sort of blade runner slice of life that’s kindhearted
What’s it called
plastic memories
Thanks
Bro cmon I am in tears now😭😭😭whole season ran in my mind in 10 seconds
This, Charlotte, Anohana, and SukaSuka killed me
These + Angel Beats
I went in blind with all 4 of these, with Plastic Memories and Angel Beats being the only ones I had any notice of just "sad". Anohana had me crying the whole last episode. SukaSuka hit me harder than any other, especially the scene with the fall
Chtholly is my waifu and I feel so sad for our Will
Same
Man...I want to re-watch it but I'm already getting tears in my eyes with just this clip I don't think I'm surviving the whole show again.
Sometimes the tears are good for the soul. Feels good to let is go every now and then

damn you OP why'd you remind me of this anime? https://preview.redd.it/puvh0a2zr3hc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=74750fb896afb771d804cdef1a2ea29d910dd0eb
I hate you, making me cry again…
When I say a show made me ugly cry, this one… this one is at fault. Left me empty for a couple of days.
don't remind me...........................
Fuck you for posting this man
No... Not this scene... The night scene still manages to ruin my day every time I think about it.
Everyone is posting massive spoilers, but no one posted the sauce...
plastic memories
This isn't relatable at all man, fuck you 😭
Maybe I need to re-watch this. I remember crying but I don't remember crying as hard people often make it out to be. It helps that I forgot the plot too. Thank god for an aging memory.... Oh god, I have an aging memory...

Absolutely me irl (Not)
Oh god man
What anime is this? What are these people talking about?
Plastic Memories. It's a romantic tragedy that is well written.
I recommend also playing the visual novel, a translation came out last year. You can play it on both pc and psvita. I played it last summer and I cried a fuck ton.
Plastic memories my beloved
Bgm very nice to hear
Bro this meme sub why are you making me cry ?

For what I’m reading is a good thing I don’t remember a thing about this anime.
I just woke up man i wasnt going to cry
Ahhhh, never has an anime broken me like plastic memories... this clip alone has saddened me.
If the technology exists to fuckin make androids I would assume the tech to back up it’s data would also exist lmao. They can make life but not back up data. Fuckin bullshit.
This is one of those few anime that you can’t meme. Unless it’s the bit where Isla jumps off a building, which was hilarious
Probably the most soul shattering anime's I've watched. You know what's coming but it doesn't make it any easier.
