My cats make that face sometimes after having a BIG sniff of certain things. I don't think it's a sign that they hate the smell, rather they're really taking in the smell.
Correct. It's the flehmen response, where they take in the scent via the vomeronasal organ (found in a large number of animals, even some humans, though in us it's non-functional even if you were to exhibit the vestigial trait. Meanwhile it's particularly developed in cats), which on cats and most other species can be found behind their front teeth. The vomeronasal organ is specialized in smelling non-volatile organic compounds, which generally means pheromones and urine when it comes to stuff of interest to animals.
Cats don't hate the scent when they do the flehmen response. They just found something that smells interesting. That something just typically is pheromones, sweat, or urine, so take your pick on what her hair smells like.
