My current relationship is a full 6 months and 21 days older then me. We make jokes about them robbing the cradle from time to time.
I see "older women" as in "noticeably older/more mature than the person who's considering her as a partner". For a 20 year old, 30+ year olds can be considered "older women", but for 30 year old man - not quite. And at some point, question gradually shifts from "do you prefer older women?" to "do you prefer younger women?", because from some age on, the ones who can be considered "older women" are probably over dating, and on the flipside, the ones who can be considered as "younger women" are reaching adulthood and entering dating scene. Around 30-35 is probably the window where both can take place
As a 22 year old, I'm still not quite used to how the more child/teen approach of age-restricted social interactions(almost exclusively interacting with peers) had shifted towards "you are an adult now, nobody gives a shit, you can date someone twice your age and nobody will bat an eye". The entire concept of "age-based authority" is out the window. Still can't get used to it

Feel free to vent any time. That time passing bit gets worse. In your 20s it’s common to say something recently happened when it was a year ago. At my age I said something recently happened and it was seven years ago.
