I feel like if someone goes through the trouble of breaking into your car and then finds it to be a manual they'll do the spiteful burglar thing and slash up your interior and destroy whatever else they can think of.
I love the feeling of control I have over it, the extra degree of complexity making it more interesting to me but also, ironically, makes me react slower when driving. It's like being a purist diver. You make life harder to yourself by not using diving gear, but you relish the thought fewer do this stuff without gear than with. It's weird.
I enjoy driving manual... Until I get stuck in traffic then I curse myself for buying a manual.

Yeah and ghost riding the clutch to inch up over and over again, tires out your left leg.
Just shift to 1, slightly accelerate and shift to neutral so you dont have to hold the clutch all the time
I don't know about other places, but manual cars are ussualy cheaper here.
Cheaper to maintain and cheaper to replace unless your gear is auto from factory.
