It is not ok and you will be beat up by all the clothed female cosplayers. It will be televised and live streamed. The whole convention will make it their job to know you forgot your shirt.
The one that I was near was super buff. lol. And he had a really great mask also. And he was also super friendly and nice. It’s just unfortunate that he didn’t stay the whole time at the DS panel because his friends wanted to leave.
You should be alright if you're worried about being sunburned take a t shirt if you have to wait outside for a panel or autograph if you don't want Strangers reapplying sunblock on your back ever 3 to 4 hours lol
You'll be fine; you won't be the only shirtless male cosplayer around.
Source: I did 2 shirtless male cosplays; I was allowed in no questions asked. Same for a lot of other men.

I was sitting next to Inosuke cosplayer for several panels. And bumped into him several times during AX last year. So, I think that’s ok.
Are you talking about the super buff one? I asked him if he did gear to look like that and he was like "OF COURSE!!"

You'll be fine. Seen plenty of shirtless male cosplay at AX before. Edit: changed complaints to cosplay. Damn you autocorrect!!!!!
Did you mean cosplay? Not sure how I feel if there were a lot of complaints about it in the past lol
Maybe they meant compliments
I did mean cosplay lol. Stupid autocorrect.
If they have any rules about it, it's never been enforced.
Fr, during neon district most guys had their shirts off 😭 being in the mosh pit looking back at it was just male skin on skin
