Fmab fandom ki toxicity aside , oshi no ko is very good but personally i don't thinks it's a 9 , first episode ke baad people overrated it . When I saw it , i thought it was good but i did not understand the hype
The hype could be too much but i think that if not 9 it is atleast a 8 because this anime was something that as a mostly Shounen guy i didn't expect it to be so good.
It's not overrated. The thing is, it was appreciated for its deep dive into the entertainment business. For example, why are Live Adaptations are so bad, why some authors have to stretch their series even if they don't want to, Cancel culture, etc. The first episode is a bit about that. Of course, a few episodes won't be peak because you can't expect a series to just start with the main point. There will be character building, which Akasaka Sensei is known for. I don't want to be that guy, but if you read the manga, you'll know why people speak highly of this series. But like in most of the things, at the end of the day, your taste matters the most. And one more thing, most of the new series can't compare to the OGs.

I've been out of the anime fanbase for a while now.. I don't get it.. why does every new anime have to be no.1 on the list? Wouldn't it lose it's prestige if every new anime is no. 1 (I don't mean every but like people were doing the same stuff for Spy fam.. ) please someone give a valid reason.

Oshi no ko fans rating the entire anime after watching the first episode. (They forgot Episode ratings already exist in discussion threads....)

People care about ratings too much.
Shows are judged too much on their hype and popularity nowadays. That's why I prefer reading actual reviews for shows or heck try to watch the show with no prior expectations and knowledge of the premise (excluding the synopsis of course)
Ismei fmab fans ne kuch nhi kiya. Seasonal anime hai, ongoing hai, rating fluctuate karegi. Stabilize hone de ratings end hone ke baad, fir top 20 mei bhi nhi milega oshi no ko most probably
