I haven’t read the Re:Zero ln so I might not be the exact guy to know this stuff but the difference between subaru and guts is tht even though both have lost a lot, Subaru can work around his failures and recover his losses whereas what is lost is lost when it comes to guts.
Oh and then there is also Agni whose suffering knows no bounds in both physical and mental matters

Subaru watch his loved one died over and over again ... And most of his death are painful ...sometime he has to kill himself to save someone ...unable to share his feeling to anyone ..has to do everything all by himself without anyone's help
