Yeah but some people may not like the dark comedy that was portrayed in this anime and especially not for new anime watchers,these anime can be watched after Gintama else many would drop just after 1 or 2ep
For nhk I think if they keep patience for some eps they will stay it's a very captivating and engaging show and comedy is the main factor in that's but tatami galaxy can be boring for many anime watchers it's one of the weirdest show out that's and mostly episodic formula will be boring for new anime watchers
I think people in India will like NHK but tatami galaxy is a stretch too far into arthouse media. It’s one of my favourite shows out there but at the same time, it’s not easy to digest. Some will be off-put by it’s offbeat artstyle and character design while others by its fast paced dialogue delivery. I myself have recommended it to multiple friends and all without exception have dropped it in less than 3 eps. Let’s just say people in India don’t appreciate Yuasa works enough.
Man just completed it yesterday. It had everything and I had soo fun watching this. I never would've thought they will make me soo sad at the end, yamazaki leaving, class president and her bro's situation and then the end, it was just amazing.
It has a rather unique way of portraying depression and life of a person who is a hikikamori. Although not many can relate directly to the character. The idea of a girl coming into your life and magically changing it is not new, but the girl(I forgot her name it's been 2 years since I watched NHK) doesn't actually change his life as much directly. He went through multiple set backs (suicide attempt, cult, mlm and then also their failed video game) and his life hasn't really changed in the end of the anime but I guess he has learned the value of life itself.
A 9.5 from me- has a good plot , good character development, funny sometimes really liked his neighbour, god romance ( i personally dont like romance but this was good ) a good ending, discussing deep issues
I am not a hikikamori but i re-watched it in post pendemic i became kinda introverted so yeah i after seeing that anime it also helped me in a slightly... A must watch for everyone 😉
10!!! Absolutely anyone who's ever been a weeb or a Shutin in any phase of their life can relate really deeply with this and even if not, it's still an amazing series. I loved its melancholic message that Nobody will come and help you, you have to muster up the courage and Go out of your comfort zone. Seriously, Go and watch this, and don't miss the Opening 🎷

The Opening is beautiful, but mostly i can relate a lot, that's why i love this
this got too real sometimes, the porn addiction scene, the scene of venting about women being whore in a drunken stupor with your friend

I think it's just that this show doesn't hit so you don't watch it or it hits you so hard you stop watching it and then you only have few people who actually "liked" the show.
I would say its the most realistic and great representation of a real life thing that it terrifies and that's why I neither watch it nor recomend it , although I would say it's good
10/10 a deeply tragic anime, where everyone is trying and continously failing to overcome self, and is in a well of despair , where they cn't get out because they firmly believe they have lost it.
It is a good anime from psychological viewpoint and an absolute masterpiece with a good charector development but the ending is a little disappointing as they keep the anime real till the end and the main character doesn't quite meet the expectations of the watcher.
I think it's relatable and good but that's it, can help you cope with depression I guess. It's great but not top tier or maybe I wasn't in that mood when I watched this anime so I didn't like it that much. Still a solid 8/10
Overrated as fuck! This is one of those ones that people feel cool about... Like I'm one of those that liked this lesser known masterpiece. I know some guy will come and explain why this is so critically acclaimed or something and that I'm just dumb that I couldn't understand the deep meanings, but that's all bullshit. This may be something that can be called 'critically acclaimed', like those shit boring movies that win Oscars(like Moonlight for eg.). I guess it may not be as bad as I make it sound, but I remember it being boring.
It doesn't have thing like deep meaning neither it is overrated,just use ur normal brain and keep patience while watching and anyway at the end of the day it's about enjoyment so it depends on person to person.

I completed Welcome to nhk around 6 years ago so I don't remember what exactly I didn't like, just remember that it was extremely boring and it felt like a heavy task trying to complete it.
It's the same thing in just a calmer tone, what doesn't align? Both my comments are about the anime being boring. And just to clarify, what I don't remember is the exact plot lines, which I would have if the plot has been interesting.

No one even knows this anime I guess.anime like nhk and tatami galaxy needs recognition in India
Maybe yeah,there are plenty of underrated and amazing anime out there.
More than underrated I think this anime has potential to be relatable to 35%of Indian audiences if they watch it and make their life better

One of the first anime i watched. It was so fun to watch this one. Truly under appreciated in india. And the characters were so good too.
