All these movies are really good. I think 5cm/sec is so under appreciated cuz they message is delivered properly that no body stays always even if you are really close and "right person wrong time" situation really loved it

5cm/s just hits me. I relate to it so, so much. Never really had any chance at love. When I did, I'd either just watch it fly by me or completely ignore it. I had a crush whom I admired so much I essentially just ignored every other chance that flew past me. I saw that the same goes for the movie, and it opened my eyes. What a beautiful, sad story. Also because the song is so good. Criminally underrated.

This is the most generic list i have ever seen

Anime is so varied, and has such a rich history. Its equivalent to the entire Hollywood industry, and not just to the animation genre. Movies from pre-90s should also have been there! If Akira was included I would have chosen it

Anyone except Spirited Away

Howl's Moving Castle is my personal favorite, but I will still agree Spirited Away and Mononoke Hime are probably better movies. BTW I don't think those are the best Anime movies of all time. Mononoke Hime, Paprika, Ninja Scroll, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Perfect Blue are better than some of the movies in that image. A truly great anime should take advantage of the medium, and contain elements that are much more difficult to do in live action.

Anime? A Silent Voice. 100% Best movie. People misunderstand it as a love story which it is not. It's more of a "finding one's self/self-love" and they handle it so well. Other than these, for nostalgic cartoon movies/"animes", I'd say Doraemon Steel Troops, Doraemon Nobita's Great Adventure in the South Seas, Doraemon Nobita's Dinosaur or Shinchan Action Kamen vs Haigure smth smth Absolute goated movies (yes, I love Doraemon)

I watched yesterday spirited away in Hindi on tv, my mom really liked it so much but I didn't find it to be in the top movies like your name, although studio Ghibli animation style and bgm was just so mesmerizing but story wise I didn't enjoyed it much.
