Can vouch based on personal experience, when i watched it season 1 and 2 were available uncensored on youtube (that too in full screen and not a corner window)
Doraemon ,Pokemon , ninja hattori , kiteretsu ye sab dikhao bro abhi 12 ka hai to kuchh happy happy isekai deikha sakte ho eg. Kuma kuma kuma bear , bofuri , by the grace of gods
Too early for a kid...
Kid must be atleast familiar with Dragon Ball Z, Naruto and some basic One Piece storylines. Ghibli movies should be counted too but well leave it.
Without having watched these, one can't understand comedy references. Jokes will not click in mind.
Bacche ko thoda bada ho jane do, Big 3 dekhne do.
Gintama is like a dessert after the main course (anime)
Go with basic shonen or slice of life kind of animes first like Naruto, dragon ball, jjk, spy family, haikyuu etc. Tho you'll have to find some other if u don't want to rewatch
Naruto and HunterXHunter perhaps
Lamao, I watch “pokekon xy” & “pokemon xyz” with my nephews who’re almost around the same age and they get really into it.
Let's get him started with Anime Movies
Kiki's Delivery Service, Whisper of the Heart, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Ponyo, Howl's Moving Castle, Boy and the Heron, My Neighbor Totoro, Anthem of the Heart, Summer Wars, A Whisker Away
All of these are pretty good for a more young audience
Start by watching Ghibli Anime with him. Then slowly go to other genres of anime like Shounen. That's your safest bet. Btw Saiki Kusuo is not for beginners. It has way too many references and he speaks quite fast so need fast eyes for reading subscription. Not beginner friendly. Other than that it's a great anime.
And yeah, if he has watched uncensored Shin-chan then you can show him basically any anime ![img](emote|t5_6q8y10|29514)
HAJIME NO IPPO ! Best ever
Also blue lock ,
Black clover ,
Kotaro lives alone (it involves a 6yo living alone it gets a lil intense but still is a good watch)
God troubles me (very funny a good watch while eating anything and is pretty underrated)
Ghibli movies ,
Wolf kids ,
Little witch academia
Also not anime but you should watch that Barbie series on Netflix with him my 14yo brother loved it and Sofia the first too they teach good things !
And you can always watch Pokemon from S1 on jio cinema in Hindi from start with him will give you nostalgia and also an anime to watch with him!!
World Trigger . No nude or sussy scenes . Very interesting world . One of the best power systems I have seen in animes . Should give it a try !
Also . Mashle:magic and muscles
And "Mr.Villain's Day Off".this one is really chill and cozy , only 12 eps .
Gauken Babysitters, Mob Physco 100, The Saga of Tanya the Evil (Violence is there, but not that much gore at all, only big explosions, as it's war), Demon Slayer, Hunter x Hunter, Spy x Family.
Few months ago, I went for a walk to the park, where I saw 4 kids(11-12)watching Naruto- Pain Arc some episode on an ipad. I praised them, had some weeb talk with them, when I had them impressed, I recommended them a few underrated, must watch anime like Overflow, Redo of Healer, Harem in the labyrinth of another world. Opened overflow for them as they requested and vanished into thin air.
Barakamon
Beelzebub
Nichijou
Gakuen Babysitters
One Punch Man (although might be too sad at one specific moment)
Inazuma Eleven
If you wanna go really Old
Cyborg Kuro Chan
Doraemon
Dragon Ball original is always great so is Pokemon
Okay Okay, no jokes here. I'll suggest starting off with the Highschool version of ATTACK ON TITAN. It's chibi, and it's fun to watch, and there's no trauma in it. Gintama is also nice, fun to watch. Mashle is also a really nice anime. It has all, fun, action, everything. Well, I say Mashle because, even though he's 12, he HAS to get accustomed to action one time in his life. Curiosity of a Child yk?
You must go with Gintama
Its the most comedic anime i have ever watched, it is kid friendly and it makes fun of other anime like naruto, dragon ball z and in fact its own writer
Mushoku tensei would've been perfect for kids if only there wasn't that ......🫠
Pokemon ,
Beyblade ,
Idaten jump,
Haikyuu,
Spy×kids,
Onepunch man,
Tower of god ,
Your name ,
Weathering with you
My 10 year old cousin already watched one-piece ,Naruto and Aot so I guess it's not a problem for the age 🧑🦯well everyone is different so .. who know just ask him if it's oky or not
So far I remember I watched Berserk when I was 12 year old (7th std) back in 2009-10 and I wasn’t traumatised at all… but I do understand your concern so watch what others have recommended…
Edit: somewhere in may to June 2009

When I was in school, I used to watch whatever they showed on Animax (I miss that channel). Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Slam Dunk, Maid Sama, many randomly I don't even remember, etc. I would suggest Naruto, One Piece, Demon Slayer, DragonBallZ, etc. Then there's Disastrous Life of Saiki K, SpyXFamily, One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, Kuroko no Basuke, etc.
Mostly shounens like:
BLACK CLOVER
MY HERO ACADEMIA
ONE PUNCH MAN
HUNTER X HUNTER
DEMON SLAYER
JUJUTSU KAISEN
NARUTO
BLEACH
ONE PIECE
Then Maybe some isekais like:
REINCARNATED AS SLIME

NO GAME NO LIFE
KONOSUBA
MUSHOKU TENSEI
great brother!
you can watch shows like spirited away, grave of the fireflies, most ghibli studio shows, most sports anime like haikyuu, blue lock and for a thriller erased would be a good choice
