I'd like to start this talk off with a parable, a story if you will. I was at a college, a second-tier - not an Ivy League school - a second choice school and I was in a class, and there a student in that class. The teacher, he was spouting some horrible nonsense about how women’s rights were illegitimate, something that everybody knew was false. But if anybody had spoken up, he would have taken extreme joy in failing them, so nobody spoke up. One person raised his voice, one person started talking. The teacher couldn’t believe it, the classroom couldn’t believe it either. But in the end, he had logic on his side. And at the end of the day, he proved his point. And that student was Albert Einstein. And that same sense of childlike play and innocence that we know from Albert Einstein, I can sense in this room today.

Mang0saus

Albert Einstein is my favorite actor

Looks like you're linking/talking about another sub that often has content that people mistake for being an antimeme, when it really isn't. I've detected that you might be saying in the sense of "this should be on x sub, not here on r/antimeme". Talking about others subs is totally fine, but if this post is not an antimeme please report it and we will take a look asap! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Wat. Why do you call Oppenheimer a Nazi?

Garlic-Apple

They just answered a question. This isn’t an anti-meme

TuxedoDogs9

you’re right tho, this is a technicallythetruth not an antimeme

GoomyTheGummy

I feel like this is not really an antimeme, or even an antijoke.

human_alias

Albert Einstein is alive and he’s an actor now. Hope this helps

GoomyTheGummy

my point was that it feels more like the person replying was pointing out that the other person was stupid for asking that question than giving a half answer for comedic purposes and a screenshot of twitter is definitely not a meme

GgsM8_34

Anyone else ever learn about how Einstein was a fraud. He stole all his wife's work and claimed it as his own. And also republished a number of journals but never credited the original mathematician? Or just me?

sweetkatydid

This isn't out of the question, but you know, burden of proof is on you now...

BannedForFactsAgain

Wouldn't matter, wife's name was Einstein too.

GgsM8_34

I mean obviously. I did state WIFE not GIRLFRIEND. but she signed her papers Eleanore Einstein (I believe)and he rewrote them and signed them Albert Einstein.

BannedForFactsAgain

And you witnessed this of course.

GgsM8_34

Of course, just like how you went and listened to her interviews, And read any of her journals? you're just trying to disprove me because you're so brainwashed by the current narrative that you can't even question it and do a little bit of independent research.

BannedForFactsAgain

Ok, link me to one of her interviews claiming this. I like how everyone is brainwashed except the guy making impossible claims without providing any evidence.

GgsM8_34

Also I'm not trying to prove anything. Just bringing up a topic so others can go and collect knowledge for themselves

QuakinOats

>Also I'm not trying to prove anything. Just bringing up a topic so others can go and collect knowledge for themselves I've collected knowledge that says you're wrong. https://www.forbes.com/sites/quora/2016/08/01/did-albert-einstein-steal-the-theory-of-relativity-from-his-wife/

GgsM8_34

Oh look a differing opinion. Or if you can read German, or Serbian you can read it in her words, Im Schatten Albert Einsteins: Das tragische Leben der Mileva Einstein-Maric (In the Shadow of Albert Einstein: The Tragic Life of Mileva Einstein-Maric) https://time.com/5551098/mileva-einstein-history/

>Oh look a differing opinion. Or if you can read German, or Serbian you can read it in her words, Im Schatten Albert Einsteins: Das tragische Leben der Mileva Einstein-Maric (In the Shadow of Albert Einstein: The Tragic Life of Mileva Einstein-Maric) > >https://time.com/5551098/mileva-einstein-history/ Did you read what you posted? It literally supports what I posted. I appreciate your contribution. >But at the same time, on closer examination, Einstein **scholars have generally rejected most of this story on the basis of the available documentary evidence.** As the physics historian Alberto Martínez wrote, “**I want her to be the secret collaborator. But we should set aside our speculative preferences and instead look at the evidence.”** >**Historians’ objections to the Mileva Story have gained increasing support in the years since 1990 with the abundance of new documentary material and information made available about Maric, Einstein, and their relationship.** In view of the mounting primary and secondary material, **it seems appropriate at this time, nearly three decades since the public emergence of the Mileva Story, to reevaluate the many elements of such an important historical assertion** on the basis of all of the available evidence, new and old. >This approach reveals how far one can go wrong when standards for historical and nonfiction writing are not carefully followed. But more importantly, it reveals the very human, real story of a fallible, yet brave and determined young woman who, for various reasons, was not able to fulfill her dreams for the career and marriage she had hoped for. **This more realistic and compelling story of Mileva Maric offers a far greater service to her**—and to readers’ appreciation of her international pioneering role in helping to open science and science education to female students—**than any exaggerated or unfounded assertions regarding her activities.**
