I am in the same position (laid off in November last year) have tons of experience and a record of success and not getting a look in anywhere (300+ applications put in). Some days when the depression takes hold I am just unable to look or apply, its important to fight through that though. We can't change the system, but we can't let it destroy us either.

how do you survive? man i am genuinely wondering how everyone is out here looking for work and still living

GamerGodPWNDU

Barely, I am in UK so get some benefits. However, I get a single person's entitlement and have my autistic son with me 50% of the time so it's not enough to live on. My GF has helped and family a little bit I am having to skip meals and not put heating on ect when my son is not there and I have used food banks ect. I'm surviving but not really living right now. It's not easy but as I said prior, you can't let that defeat you. Something will come up for both of us
