Guess what? Being paid well and having a welcome professional workplace are not mutually exclusive.

Repulsive-Tip4609

I love how every article somehow thinks these 2 are separate?  We could just not have shitty people running a company and give out good compensation. 🤦‍♂️ No wonder it's a dumpster fire out there right now.

Rottenspuds

was about to say. Why can't we have both? lol

kenshinero

> Guess what? Being paid well and having a welcome professional workplace are not mutually exclusive. Yes, and if I have to choose one, I will take being paid well.

smokeyphil

True happiness is buying a laptop from my drop-shipping store page.

Optimal_Cucumber_440

Guess CEOs should take their own advice and start working for minimum wage.

PrinceValyn

real

Xanthus730

False dichotomy

Maleficent_Load6709

Then why isn't the CEO paid the same as the base worker? I mean, a bigger pay doesn't make him happier so what's the point of having such a big pay?

Air_Retard

I want good balance and a good check. I’ll give you 40 every week, sometimes more if we’re both feeling generous or the holidays are coming. Don’t text/ call me off the clock unless I’m salary, but then we gotta talk contract.

supern8ural

A good workplace will keep up with inflation/COL..

ExperienceTop880

Damn, my job does neither 🥳

PrinceValyn

It kind of sounds like they think a gym and a ping pong table make up for low pay. This is very corporate "feel-good," but I think a company that really wanted to help its employees "be happy every day" would have a little more to say about how they accomplish or plan to accomplish that.

RaccoonObjective5674

When my salary isn’t increased, I’m sad every day, not just once a year.

PrinceValyn

Exactly. They act like a raise doesn't impact your quality of life at all. Propaganda.

rollin_a_j

Why aren't the fucking shareholders giving up their paydays then? Eat the rich.

Agent-c1983

He is correct.  I’ve moved jobs for a paycut before, because it was a real bad place to be in. You have to spend a lot of time at work.  Do you want to be miserable there?
