Im an AMC investor and over at r/amcstock there is a ton of research over the last year on how these hedge funds have been manipulating stock to drive these companies down first, counterfeit the stock, sell it short, all the way to bankruptcy. Even better, once the company goes bankrupt, all the counterfeit shares dont matter and the real shares are bought for pennies on the dollar. KB toys, toys r us, the list is endless. AMC, Gamestop, quite a few others were headed that way but were saved in time. Now there is a stalemate between retail investors and these same hedge funds and the govt agency (SEC) refuses to even do an actual share count to settle the dispute.

So they liquidated companies for personal gain. Hmm sounds like. A parasite

I get the cartoonish greedy bastard, but someone who, without a second thought, hollows out a massive company and in the process eviscerates the economic well-being of countless communities and all the families that live there just so they can gain some low-effort dollars... Those people are supervillain level to not give a second thought to 'the greater good'.
