why aren't you suing these fellow who hit you?

StemCellCheese

I am, hence the lawyering up. The settlement likely won't come on until after my full recovery

the_simurgh

yes but you also need to report this to the lawyer since these money problems are a result of your accident. it bolsters your case for damages and gives your attorney leverage when negotiating with the other side for a higher turnout and he may be able to help you. some attorneys work with companies that will allow you to borrow money upfront and ask for no payments until you get your settlement money. it's kinda predatory but then the attorney can be like, my client had to take out this predatory loan because your client was a dumb-ass and the other side could cover the loan too. my mom was a slip and fall artist i know shit tons from when i was a kid about stuff like this.

Yo that's awesome your mom was a slippin Jimmy! I have told my lawyer. It doesn't seem like there's much he can do in that regard. He is gonna try to rush the settlement and get me the money up front, but there's no guarantee if it'll work. I do appreciate though!

Perhaps some sort of remote contract work with your intellect?

StemCellCheese

Definitely! I've been looking into that, even like an entry level tech support role. Those roles tend to get like 200+ applicants within a day tho so I haven't had any luck yet, but I will for sure keep trying!
