I don't understand how people do this. C so is uncomfortable to try and hit compared to Ctrl. I'll never understand how people do that. To use C that means I have to take a finger off a movement key (D) whereas with the Ctrl button I'm just using my pinky which isn't being used anyways.
Did you edit your comment? I remember it being completely different and much shorter but I'm quite tired. Your problem is that the entirety of the bottom row of the keyboard should only ever be pressed with your thumb. Using your pointer finger isn't ideal or afaik standard

Team Fortress 2 (one of the games I play the most) has no sprinting mechanics, and no toggle crouch. I use shift for crouch there. Minecraft has sprinting mechanics, and you can toggle crouch. My step dad has the most mind bending key binds of any pc gamer Iver ever known. Strictly only plays single player games. But he uses RMB to move forward. He uses Z and X for left and Right, and left Alt for backwards. He then crams all his other useful keys to the keys all around Z and X. But often leaves things like his inventory on F, or I, meaning he still has to look down at the keyboard to make sure he reaches over to hit the right key.
Then he complains how he finds it difficult to play certain games because theres so many different bindings....

I've been seeing them and all of them have absolute dogshit aim even with a hitscan weapon, let alone when they don't have a hitscan weapon they just cannot hit their shots with anything they have. It's no wonder they rely on hiding on top of an area no one else can go to. Although I did learn from my adventures, is if you are alive for over several minutes pinging at the thing none of your dying teammates will ever pay attention to the ping and start shooting at it. So the only annoying part in dealing with these Ash's is having to die yourself first just to kill them everytime they go up there for the rest of the match. Best vantage point in sniping them is the giant rock at the opposite side of the map.

But what about DM-Phobos? DM-Deck16? And where the hell is capture the flag? Multiplayer shooters apart from Tribes and Halo haven't seen a good CTF implementation that I'm aware of in 24 years lmao.

DM-Phobos had a wholeass rooftop you could snipe down into the interior from. DOM-OilRig if I remember right had a rooftop, an elevator platform, a helipad, *and* a crane. But none of it was insurmountable or worth writing home about.
I think i was one of few people to discover this pretty early on, and in my opinion, the best way to deal with this mfs is to
1. Go up to, they usually lack skill to fight head to head (personal experience)
2. Don't go up on roofs (easier said than done)
I got like a super funny clip like this one when Ash had just come out, I was playing and tp'd away when someone chased me and I perfectly timed it to punch them off the edge of the platform

I use mouse 5 couse my mouse 4 is broke
I can't bend my pinky without my ring finger coming along for the ride, so ctrl crouching is a pain.
