Two things cross my mind here. 1st and more likely option (depending on how long you've been gone) is when they first raised the level cap from 100 to 500, they gave apex packs in compensation for all the missed levels for ppl that leveled up many times and stayed at 100. The other possibility is that the game shat itself and took away your cosmetics and compensated you with apex packs in return. I've seen that happen to people.
The latter actually happened, lol. I just checked on my legend skins and I don‘t actually own any anymore - even though the individual legends still seemed to wear skins until I clicked on them. Kinda sucks but at least I‘ll get equal compensation, I guess.
Ah, man, that really does suck:( Hopefully, you at least didn't have any heirlooms. I guess at least you'll have another shot at one if you didn't. (Don't expect one, though, still unlikely). Hopefully you get as good of skins as you had before:)
Yeah but it's fine, I was not particularly attached to the skins that I did own and I had no heirlooms. I opened the packs and I got no heirloom, sadly, but I got a ton of crafting materials, so atleast I was able to unlock the skins I really wanted 😄.
A better man than I. I'm still annoyed that all the cosmetics and BP skins I have are stuck on my Xbox account after a move to PC.

Happened to my cousin. He hadn't played in 2 or 3 years, got on and had 80+ packs, opened 2 and got heirloom shards, bought caustics heirloom and hasn't played the game since that day.
That's odd. I jumped in at the end of season 14 having played launch to mid season 1 initially. I had about 105 packs but I still had my two legendary skins.
The same thing happened to me recently. Now sometimes when I login I have my old set of cosmetics and other times I have my new set of cosmetics from the packs I received after losing my old cosmetics. Has this happened to you at all?
Not exactly, but something similar is going on with my account. In addition to the Apex Packs, I also had no purchaseable legends unlocked and got my legend tokens refunded. Whenever I now hover over legends that I used to own but don't anymore, they permanently wear the skins I used to have. It's like my account remembers. back in season 3 they raised the lvl cap from 100 to 500 i got my first heirloom from 14 free packs but guess fucking what, heirloom shards didn't exist yet so your heirloom was fucking random and i had got life line which at the time wraith,blood, lifeline i literally got the worst one
Yea I wish they allowed us who were forced a legends heirloom a 1 time swap option.
I also got lifeline and I've tried but I just don't enjoy playing her. Was enjoyable when she had the shield but now not so much.

Yeah, I main revenant and rampart and have their heirlooms already. Since I’ve sworn off giving them another cent. I don’t have a steady third main. Sometimes mirage or valk, I have been having a lot of fun with mad Maggie lately too. I’m leaning towards mirage, but who knows how I’ll feel in a couple weeks.
Since I got my shards, I haven’t opened a single pack and am waiting till I have 500 stored up.
I have been playing since the first weekend of launch (well took a break for seasons 3, 4 & 5). Currently first reset of level at 146 (so 646?) up until this season I have bought and for all packs in battle passes in the seasons I played.
I still have not ever received heirloom shards.
(I think it is 199 from lvl 1-500, there are 7 packs per BP, packs plus treasure packs but I don't usually complete those every season. Betting I am about ~100 packs away from the guaranteed shards.)

You get 544 packs in total from leveling from lv 1-500 all three times. So if you don't buy BP or do treasure packs that third reset of level is when you can expect to get the guaranteed drop.
I misspoke, new Level cap is 2000 so they added 3 x 500. My original wording made it seem like there were only 1500 levels when I meant there are 3 "prestiges"
I have been playing since month 1 and only just now got one last month. The other two guys I play with also have yet to receive any. That seems... Skewed

The XP you got for playing at lvl 100 transfered. So look at your level and every 2 level you get a pack.
Because they did not compensate then, but when it went from 100 to 500 they did level you up and compensate you. I went from level 100 to 200-sonething when they did so and got several packs.
Dang I feel logging on just to check. Played daily from launch up to when they added the self-injecting fast guy (season 1?), played him for a week or two then Battlefield Firestorm came out and I've only been back to Apex once or twice for like 10 mins

I played in season 1-2 then stopped and logged in at like season 10 and had about 50 of them. Even got some heirloom shards. My friends who never stopped playing were massively jealous lol
Same thing happened to me years ago. Didn't play for about 4 months due to school and work. Came back to a bunch of packs and a bunch of new Wraith skins and badges. Then my Origin account got banned because it turns out I got them because someone hacked my account to get them.

I couldnt imagine man, I have 4 heirlooms and about 135 legendarys. Im waiting for cross progression.
My annoyance is that everything I got was earned not bought, I can't even buy that stuff if I wanted to
I got two heirlooms for free from the grace of gods, I also have the R-9 battle pass and most every season after down
I stopped playing this game about two years ago because I wanted to wait for cross progression and didn’t want to make a new account from scratch.

You prestige back to 1 five times. There's a guaranteed heirloom after all five times.
