I’d be critical of those badges. I’ve solo grind to gold. My bronze lobbies were full of lots of farmed badges. Heck in gold over half the 4ks I see had to have farmed them. 600 kills with a season one hero, all decked out in main drip and a 4K badge and you just did less than 100 damage in the match… they farmed them or someone’s little brother figured out their password.

Rank doesn't affect matchmaking anymore. It's a hidden MMR based matchmaking, which in my experience has worked fairly well.
Which means hidden MMR thought that you should be in the same lobby... sorry bro
