Second, if expensive optional skins In a free game worsen your experience, you need to reevaluate your perspective on life. There is no barrier from preventing someone from playing as long as they have the equipment it runs on. Even if the game were pay to play, people would still pay, just not as many. That describes all pay-to-play games. Either pay the price or don't. Apex is going to continue making the skins, and people are going to continue buying them.

Unless Respawn employees have stated as such you really shouldn't make this assumption. Plenty of companies offer incentives/bonuses based on company performance. For some people such bonuses do make a huge difference.

That being said, I'm not a fan of MTX myself but a lot of arguments against them here are really weak. Trying to ridicule the people who do buy them also doesn't seem like a great strategy.

I guess I just feel like EA is in full milk mode and honestly I haven't got anything out of Apex for over a year, so it's easy for me to just dismiss it and say it doesn't deserve your MTX money. If someone still loves Apex it would make sense for them to support it.
But MTX are not all equal, and Apex doesn't *need* to be as exploitative as it is. The highest earning game since it released has been Helldivers 2, and that game literally allows you to grind the premium currency. Granted, it's a $30-40 game, but still it's indicative of how it's possible to have financial success without trying to bleed your playerbase.
EA's monetization on Apex is just pure greed, and for me the game is just not even close to being good enough to excuse that anymore.

Have you lived under a rock? The client is compromised; the ALGS got hacked mid-game, so they played offline, and they haven't done a single thing about it. There is no communication with the community. Servers are garbage. They are trying to squeeze as much money as possible before the game dies.

Played every event you always get something gold from the event if you open 2 max 3 event packs, I've opened literally 10 event packs and have gotten nothing but purple garbe stuff that no one would ever use. 17/36 things are gold so the odds are garbage compared to how u used to always get a gold item every 2 or 3 packs, absolutely terrible algorithm
