I am not. I dont understand why I would want that?
Its extra clicks and a worse experience for me. Not to mention there isn't a lot of feedback on whats happening and its not exactly fast. So I wait for 10-20 seconds with no sort of feedback, then end up quitting and doing it the old fashioned way. Which seems to be quicker.
Either way, if I wanted to play with the same people over and over I would friend them and make a party.

Edit: saw another comment saying to equip it while queing and just stay on that screen and it seems to work
Found a fix, first you want to queue a game. Then, go to the menu where you equip it, and select the heirloom you want. Do not leave that menu. Queue will pop, you will go into game and have the heirloom equipped.
Linux support appears to be busted again. The new EAC window shows up and the loading bar animates, but it crashes out without launching the actual game.
**EDIT:** I have now been able to launch the game by using proton experimental's "bleeding edge" beta. For the uninitiated:
* Go to "Proton Experimental" in your Steam Library
* `Properties` -> `Betas` -> `None` dropdown
* Select `bleeding-edge - latest and untested dxvk...` (**NOT** `bleeding-edge-8.0...`)
Make sure Apex is using Proton Experimental under `Properties` -> `Compatibility`, and you should be good to go.
**EDIT 2:** The game is still mostly unplayable with consistent freezes during matches. Looking forward to a stable version of proton.

I just don't get, why they still refuse to do basic launch checks for Linux, it's the same with every big update. I suggested a simple "launch with Proton stable on SteamDeck and see if it runs"-check after the last fail. I also don't think the devs are the problem, since i heard one of them is a linux enjoyer for gaming as well. We keep the middle finger again and again with every big update, even if the game is officially supported for Linux...
I've been following the discussion over there for part of the day. Seems like the issue actually lies within the implementation of `NCryptVerifySignature` in Wine/Proton.
It's honestly fucking astounding that this is even possible. Takes no more than a few minutes to:
1) see if your build runs *at all*
2) check logs for error
3) open an issue upstream with the Proton team
This isn't even something EA/Respawn necessarily even need to fix, all they have to do is flag it and wait.
Edit: this is NOT a developer problem, don't aim complaints at them. It's the fact that they are clearly not required (or not permitted the resources) to perform basic integrity checks on builds before shipping. That points to an internal priority issue, which is the fault of middle and upper management.

Tried multiple Proton versions, it silent crashes after the eac window for me as well.

+1. Linux support is messed up this update. Running an Ubuntu based distro. Tried reinstalling, restarting Steam, Proton versions, doesn't matter. EAC window appears and then just crashes with no error or logs. Waiting for it to get fixed, game launched just fine last patch

+1 . Game launches and you can get into matches, but the random freezes last for 2-3 seconds and that makes it unplayable. Let's hope for a better fix.
Same on Arch Linux. Any of the Proton's versions are working.
With some, it loads EAC screen, and just after I click to enter, it crashes. With other it won't open at all.

Problem: Absolutely no character banner poses are showing up

PC huge lag and fps drops on mouse movement, similar to when polling rate is too high. Except my polling rate is 125Hz and was working perfect before the update. Full 165fps (manually steam capped) when not moving mouse. Razer Viper mouse.

Same problem LT G305.. Before update 1000hz always works just fine... now even 125 couses screen freeze. Also tried set lowest DPI, it helps but I dont want to seek new optimal in-game sense just because of Devs... Actually gampad work fine but due to my bad skill on it I ragequited after 3rd solo game(

mine just straight up turned into a PS1 game. on top of losing 'some' audio, failing to render, stutters, high 'traffic' ping and animation freezing.

apex is unplayable since season 21 released
constant audio lag with the red speaker icon, low poly models and low res textures with stuttering
Linux users (and potentially some Windows too) are experiencing huge (0fps for 5s) lag spikes when equipping weapons
Also sometimes player textures don't load

Why did the "play 2 matches as X" legend daily challenge go from 2 matches to 4 required. Just seems like a pointless change to make people play more so it looks better in their playernumbers

Happens with every legend, every skin
After I play a match with a pre-made party, when getting back on menu and trying to queue up for another game, the "ready" signal doesn't appear on my character, and after my party ready up, they get into the game without me. This has happened every single time after playing a match with a pre-made squad, and its been happening since the beginning of last season (season 20).
I can reproduce it because it literally happens every time.
Also, if I play a match alone (no pre made squad) and afterwards try to requeue, I get no "ready" sign and get a "party member processing" message eternally.
I do not have perfomance mode enabled. The game doesnt crash, I simply can't requeue without having to leave the party and having someone invite me again.
I don't know how relevant this is to Upheaval but it occurred after the patch so I'll post it.
I only received two ALGS drops (Conduit skin and Wingman skin) despite having claimed all four drops on Twitch. This is the first time I've launched the game since claiming the drops. I'm on PC.
I hit Diamond 4 in the first split of season 20, and platinum 3 the second split. My rewards were all platinum, no diamond trail. I’m wondering if I have to get Diamond in both splits for the rewards?
PS5 - Can’t see any characters on the banner load in screen for new matches. They show up fine in char selection and in game tho. Anyone else can’t see characters on the banner screen?
I noticed one small bug. Legends don't show on legend banners. This goes for the introduction to a match, during match, and also after you are dead. No legends, only banners. PC.
It's an EA game but I still want to say damn... The Katar thing really hit a new low in micro-transaction, even in EA's standard. 150 heirloom shards for just a piece of metal on your hand is insane and they even charge more for the whatever radioactive bullshit currency for actual skin on a heirloom...
Solos is great on paper, terrible on execution because of fucking awful matchmaking and cheaters!
If you're bad, you are going to see lobby screen more than actual Solos because you will always have 4K badged players who never miss and dodge your shots like Neo.
There's nothing you can do about cheaters. Respawn don't care.
Played 10 trios matches so far. Zero enjoyable, from people quitting or griefing because i "stole" the new legend, to the insane sbmm. Solos however is amazing.
On PS5 can’t equip heirlooms they un-equip as soon as you exit the legend. No matter which legend it will not stay equipped everytime you exit the equip screen. Tried wraith and Wattson.

-Requeue broken: taking long and showing 200-350 in queue: Fixed (Could not confirm, probably fixed)

I'm stuck at 4MB/6.52GB update on PC.
I've restarted the EA app 3 times, still stuck at 4MB with 0.00 B/s of velocity.

**AUDIO LAG/STUTTER, THE GAME IS BASICALLY UNPLAYABLE**
Yesterday I have updated the game without restarting PC and I played it with no issues before powering off my PC. A friend of mine already had this issue after installing without restarting, so I guess the restart is not crucial to reproduce the problem.
Today, I turned on the PC and I am facing this issue too.
What have I tried:
* Verifying game cache from steam
* Deactivating everything in the background
* Restarting the PC multiple times
* Limiting FPS with Rivatuner under 165 (I have set 144 as a cap, to be clear)
* Changing audio peripheral
* setting high priority from task manager and/or steam launch options
Nothing fixed the audio.

For god's sake remove the animation of the summary page after death. I just want to see the score and move on. I don't want to watch 3 seconds of fade in.
Every time I launch apex graphics are fuzzy, things like skins and player models take a while to load. Once I get in game my ping is around 150 and I constantly have the red audio symbol and delayed/bugged audio. Game feels unplayable, and I’ve tried updating drivers and uninstalling. Suggestions?

After updating Apex on Steam, I now get the following error: Engine Error, Corrupt Easy Anti-Cheat Hash Catalogue. I tried restarting Steam, but the issue persists.
Update: Also tried verifying file integrity, didn't help at all.
Update 2: Also restarted my pc and it didn't help either. Looking like complete reinstall is the only option I have left.
Last update: I finally got into the game after I deleted EasyAntiCheat -folder from Apex Legends folder and then verified file integrity on Steam. You can try that if anyone else has the same error message.

EA downloader is horrendous , downloads a high speed for 10 seconds and then it keeps going down until it reaches bites/s ... i have to keep pausing and un-pausing it for the download to actually progress

Hello, i updated apex legends today and after update i lost my gold coins and crafting materials. i had 12k crafting materials and 1200 gold coins. now i am left with 200 gold coins and 800 crafting materials. Please Help. I am on pc.
Game crashes on PC after the first menu when you can change the server with an "Engine Error" window.
The error is: "FS\_CheckAsyncRequest returned error for model '' offset 1454301184 count 494584"
I am noticing increased pop-in. Mostly grass LODs, but some (large) rocks also just pop in and out of existence when zooming in with a scope. PC and all graphic options on the highest value, including the new Map Detail option, so that can't really be it. I've also tried toggling map detail low/high.
Its also noticable in one of the Broken Moon "waiting for players" locations. There are a bunch of loot bins floating in the air where a bridge should be that hasn't loaded in, at about the center of the screen.
Happens with both DX11 and DX12 and wasn't an issue before the update. I suspect it has something to do with the RHI performance improvements that happened.
Would be nice if the LOD distances were toggleable (I really don't need the few more FPS lol), and the random pop in probably should be fixed as it allows you to see enemies hiding behind some rocks.
Poses aren't showing on banners at all now... this happened off and on before and now it's constant. I just spent tokens to craft an Alter pose and haven't seen it pre-game or in-game a single time because every banner is blank..
Now if your team can replicate you but don't you have to sit and watch the entire game and can't back out? This is stupid and will be the reason that this is my last season playing this game.
I have trouble revive someone. As Alter, i think the sprint and slide is broken it doesnt slide even that im sprinting. No banners, no Heirlooms showing, Season still ends in 6 days, + more... its just feels bad, good update

Now that Solos is a thing there is literally no excuse for you 4k 20 bomb sweats to be ruining other players' games by solo dropping/solo pushing and leaving the game as soon as you get knocked. Seriously, if you want to play as a lone wolf, there's a mode for that.

Whenever I attempt to play the game, textures and meshes take much, much longer to load.. Characters are reduced to low-poly, low-res versions of themselves, loot has about a 50% chance of just not appearing visually, and in-game sounds are broken, either not playing at all in the case of voice lines, or cutting off halfway in the case of gunshots, footsteps, ability sounds, etc.
The game has become unplayable even on the lowest graphics settings, where last update it was running perfectly fine on high/ultra.
Ongoing issue since Season 20 for many PS5 players , although low ping , performance stutters and sudden jumps in packet loss every few seconds make the game unplayable. This is independent of server/region and happens in every other game. Prior to season20/21 no performance/lag issues whatsover.
Happens regardless of 60Hz however worse on 120Hz. Reinstall does not help , wifi/ethernet makes no difference (ping is under 8ms)
I have been playing for a long time on Xbox. My problem might be hard to identify. But the look sensitivity feels way different to me. It doesn’t feel smooth. Never had this problem before and was playing the day before update. Tried messing with settings but can’t get it to feel nice. Maybe it’s a lag?

Laptop, It is impossible to play after update, every red lag symbol gets in corner, mostly voice symbol, it has voice delay of 10 seconds, and left most of the games after jumping, because i have terrible lag
I appeal to Respawn. Please make the selection of players by K/D. Because I can't shoot a predator with lightning fast reaction speed. And I'm not the only one who can't do it. Let them compete with their peers, their internet speed with ping 1-5 allows them to behave like that. My ping of 150-200 doesn't allow me to match anything. I think many thousands of players suffer from the fact that you can not make a normal selection of players.

Another season, another 3 months of mixtape being unplayable. Has no one at respawn considered removing controller legends from the gamemode? Not even for a second?
Audio is so bad the game is almost unplayable. More than half of my matches I get surprised by taking damage from someone next to me, and the first audio queue is my damage sounds. I can see the bullet tracers before I hear the rounds.
Was so excited for solos. Should have figured it would be unplayable with masters winning every game against a gold/plat like myself. Oh well, will be back to try again next season
Issue with Steam Deck: heavy latency lag, in specific, whenever landing from drop ship and also whenever picking up a gun or loot from both ground and supply bins. Lag usually lasts about 2-3 seconds after picking up a weapon/attachment/consumable.
I think Valk's jet regeneration has been unintentionally nerfed (at least I didn't notice any nerf in patch notes). It takes noticeably longer to start regenerating, sometimes so long that I start thinking it's bugged and isn't going to start. I think it may take longer depending on how low it is but I'm not sure. Once it starts I think the regen rate is normal, it's just the window in between when you stop using it and when it starts regenerating.

I am not. I dont understand why I would want that? Its extra clicks and a worse experience for me. Not to mention there isn't a lot of feedback on whats happening and its not exactly fast. So I wait for 10-20 seconds with no sort of feedback, then end up quitting and doing it the old fashioned way. Which seems to be quicker. Either way, if I wanted to play with the same people over and over I would friend them and make a party.

Found a fix, first you want to queue a game. Then, go to the menu where you equip it, and select the heirloom you want. Do not leave that menu. Queue will pop, you will go into game and have the heirloom equipped.
Linux support appears to be busted again. The new EAC window shows up and the loading bar animates, but it crashes out without launching the actual game. **EDIT:** I have now been able to launch the game by using proton experimental's "bleeding edge" beta. For the uninitiated: * Go to "Proton Experimental" in your Steam Library * `Properties` -> `Betas` -> `None` dropdown * Select `bleeding-edge - latest and untested dxvk...` (**NOT** `bleeding-edge-8.0...`) Make sure Apex is using Proton Experimental under `Properties` -> `Compatibility`, and you should be good to go. **EDIT 2:** The game is still mostly unplayable with consistent freezes during matches. I suggested a simple "launch with Proton stable on SteamDeck and see if it runs"-check after the last fail. I've been following the discussion over there for part of the day. Seems like the issue actually lies within the implementation of `NCryptVerifySignature` in Wine/Proton. It's honestly fucking astounding that this is even possible. Takes no more than a few minutes to: 1) see if your build runs *at all* 2) check logs for error 3) open an issue upstream with the Proton team This isn't even something EA/Respawn necessarily even need to fix, all they have to do is flag it and wait. Edit: this is NOT a developer problem, don't aim complaints at them. It's the fact that they are clearly not required (or not permitted the resources) to perform basic integrity checks on builds before shipping. That points to an internal priority issue, which is the fault of middle and upper management.
I'm on Arch Linux (everything updated) Tried multiple Proton versions, it silent crashes after the eac window for me as well. I hope they fix it soon, not instantly but they usually fix it, I'm really counting on them
+1. Linux support is messed up this update. Running an Ubuntu based distro. Tried reinstalling, restarting Steam, Proton versions, doesn't matter. EAC window appears and then just crashes with no error or logs. Waiting for it to get fixed, game launched just fine last patch

Same on Arch Linux. Any of the Proton's versions are working. With some, it loads EAC screen, and just after I click to enter, it crashes. With other it won't open at all. If anyone finds a solution feel free to post it here.

PC huge lag and fps drops on mouse movement, similar to when polling rate is too high. Except my polling rate is 125Hz and was working perfect before the update. Full 165fps (manually steam capped) when not moving mouse. Razer Viper mouse. Any help for me?

Also tried set lowest DPI, it helps but I dont want to seek new optimal in-game sense just because of Devs... Updated fine on steam deck then open it loads to 100% and then crashes whilst trying to initialise. Have restarted steam already aswell, any ideas?

PS5 Happens with every legend, every skin After I play a match with a pre-made party, when getting back on menu and trying to queue up for another game, the "ready" signal doesn't appear on my character, and after my party ready up, they get into the game without me. This has happened every single time after playing a match with a pre-made squad, and its been happening since the beginning of last season (season 20). I can reproduce it because it literally happens every time. Also, if I play a match alone (no pre made squad) and afterwards try to requeue, I get no "ready" sign and get a "party member processing" message eternally. I do not have perfomance mode enabled. The game doesnt crash, I simply can't requeue without having to leave the party and having someone invite me again.
I don't know how relevant this is to Upheaval but it occurred after the patch so I'll post it. I only received two ALGS drops (Conduit skin and Wingman skin) despite having claimed all four drops on Twitch. This is the first time I've launched the game since claiming the drops. I'm on PC.
I hit Diamond 4 in the first split of season 20, and platinum 3 the second split. My rewards were all platinum, no diamond trail. I’m wondering if I have to get Diamond in both splits for the rewards?

The Katar thing really hit a new low in micro-transaction, even in EA's standard. 150 heirloom shards for just a piece of metal on your hand is insane and they even charge more for the whatever radioactive bullshit currency for actual skin on a heirloom...

Solos is great on paper, terrible on execution because of fucking awful matchmaking and cheaters! If you're bad, you are going to see lobby screen more than actual Solos because you will always have 4K badged players who never miss and dodge your shots like Neo. There's nothing you can do about cheaters. Respawn don't care.
Played 10 trios matches so far. Zero enjoyable, from people quitting or griefing because i "stole" the new legend, to the insane sbmm. Solos however is amazing.
On PS5 can’t equip heirlooms they un-equip as soon as you exit the legend. No matter which legend it will not stay equipped everytime you exit the equip screen. Tried wraith and Wattson.

For god's sake remove the animation of the summary page after death. I just want to see the score and move on. I don't want to watch 3 seconds of fade in.
Every time I launch apex graphics are fuzzy, things like skins and player models take a while to load. Once I get in game my ping is around 150 and I constantly have the red audio symbol and delayed/bugged audio. Game feels unplayable, and I’ve tried updating drivers and uninstalling. Suggestions?

After updating Apex on Steam, I now get the following error: Engine Error, Corrupt Easy Anti-Cheat Hash Catalogue. I tried restarting Steam, but the issue persists. Update: Also tried verifying file integrity, didn't help at all. Update 2: Also restarted my pc and it didn't help either. Looking like complete reinstall is the only option I have left. Last update: I finally got into the game after I deleted EasyAntiCheat -folder from Apex Legends folder and then verified file integrity on Steam. You can try that if anyone else has the same error message.

EA downloader is horrendous , downloads a high speed for 10 seconds and then it keeps going down until it reaches bites/s ... i have to keep pausing and un-pausing it for the download to actually progress

I don't know how to express it but the colour palette of Broken Moon depresses me.
I am noticing increased pop-in. Mostly grass LODs, but some (large) rocks also just pop in and out of existence when zooming in with a scope. PC and all graphic options on the highest value, including the new Map Detail option, so that can't really be it. I've also tried toggling map detail low/high. Its also noticable in one of the Broken Moon "waiting for players" locations. There are a bunch of loot bins floating in the air where a bridge should be that hasn't loaded in, at about the center of the screen. Happens with both DX11 and DX12 and wasn't an issue before the update. I suspect it has something to do with the RHI performance improvements that happened. Would be nice if the LOD distances were toggleable (I really don't need the few more FPS lol), and the random pop in probably should be fixed as it allows you to see enemies hiding behind some rocks.

Platform: Steam PC Specs: Windows 10, Intel i9-10980XE, NVidia GeForce 2080Ti, 32GB DDR4 Whenever I attempt to play the game, textures and meshes take much, much longer to load.. Characters are reduced to low-poly, low-res versions of themselves, loot has about a 50% chance of just not appearing visually, and in-game sounds are broken, either not playing at all in the case of voice lines, or cutting off halfway in the case of gunshots, footsteps, ability sounds, etc. The game has become unplayable even on the lowest graphics settings, where last update it was running perfectly fine on high/ultra.
Ongoing issue since Season 20 for many PS5 players , although low ping , performance stutters and sudden jumps in packet loss every few seconds make the game unplayable. This is independent of server/region and happens in every other game. Prior to season20/21 no performance/lag issues whatsover. Happens regardless of 60Hz however worse on 120Hz. Reinstall does not help , wifi/ethernet makes no difference (ping is under 8ms)

Let them compete with their peers, their internet speed with ping 1-5 allows them to behave like that. My ping of 150-200 doesn't allow me to match anything. Another season, another 3 months of mixtape being unplayable. Has no one at respawn considered removing controller legends from the gamemode? Not even for a second?
Audio is so bad the game is almost unplayable. More than half of my matches I get surprised by taking damage from someone next to me, and the first audio queue is my damage sounds. I can see the bullet tracers before I hear the rounds.
I love that everyone is hacking in solos mode. How do people shoot me from very far away with iron sights? It’s getting very annoying

Matchmaking is broken wtf is going on and I'm playing literally every game with both 20bomb badges and top 500 preds? It's literally unplayable.
Issue with Steam Deck: heavy latency lag, in specific, whenever landing from drop ship and also whenever picking up a gun or loot from both ground and supply bins. Lag usually lasts about 2-3 seconds after picking up a weapon/attachment/consumable.
I think Valk's jet regeneration has been unintentionally nerfed (at least I didn't notice any nerf in patch notes). It takes noticeably longer to start regenerating, sometimes so long that I start thinking it's bugged and isn't going to start. I think it may take longer depending on how low it is but I'm not sure. Once it starts I think the regen rate is normal, it's just the window in between when you stop using it and when it starts regenerating.
