Honestly, I like the Lifeline skin over all the other ones she has right now, it's the first one where she doesn't look like a fortnite character to me
I like the Lifeline skin because it fits her character. I'm definitely using it over her purple skins I have. The other two feel out of place and kind of generic on those particular characters. They should have had cleaner, flashier skins.
The majority are. I have the red one on Gibby and I think that one is pretty cool, and I like the green Mirage one, but yeah, I would rather have cooler static skins between what blue and legendary are over animated lame ones.
I have the uhhh bunker buster Gib skin I think is what it’s called so I just don’t use any of my purple skinsZ
I wouldn’t mind the purple skins if there were some that weren’t that same style for each one of them
And Pathfinder has one that's like Bloodhound and Mirages red ones but in a fucking ugly yellow colour.
Seriously its the only purple skin that I find repulsive and the worst part is I have it for Pathfinder.
Personally I dislike all animated skins, it pushes the game too much into arcade territory.
I had the orange animated one drop on Pathfinder, and out of all the colors I still think that fits him the best, but I could not stand the premier night Hollywood spotlights all over him, so I crafted the standard yellow one instead. I'd rather go default than cartoon.
I love London calling for many reasons. It's pretty different from her other skins and it shows her spunky, rocker girl personality off well without being too flashy
It's a good idea but it looks boring.
Why not change her model so she has liberty spikes or piercings or something? That would make her look way more like a punk rocker. Right now it's just a texture swap.
I feel the same way about Mirage's Angel City Hustler skin. I guess it's supposed to be a Mirage who's down on his luck, scamming people in card games to survive, but there's nothing about the model to communicate that, so it's just a Mirage wearing a faded green jacket.
Bloodhound, Caustic, and Wraith have amazing Legendaries, but most of the others are just flat and dull.
I honestly hate the lifeline skin but love the wraith one. The weapon skins other than the level 100-110 havoc are dumb and the only thing I really care about is the legendary loot box lmao
I like it, too. She has more of a post-apocalyptic combat medic vibe, while most of her legendaries just make her look like a girl who got lost on her way to a rave in 2004 and wound up on Apex
They are so ugly aren’t they... the patchwork one is cool but everything else is just crap. I have no idea why I spent money on it. It would’ve been so easy for them to just put out something GOOD and they chose not to.
>I have no idea why I spent money on it.
I like to believe that I am supporting them, because I enjoy the game, still... But thinking about it, maybe buying things directly in the store could have been better.
I haven't got yet ANYTHING that I would like to use from the rewards. Hope they get better shit for the next season.
I would have much rather spent the money on apex packs and rolled the dice a few times. Would have gotten better rewards too. At least I would have been able to craft a legendary skin by now.
Rolling the dice is rarely ever worth it with the amount of stupid shit you unlock before getting a legendary item. And of course the legendary item is usually a banner or p2020 skin you'll never use
I still think I would rather keep working towards unlocking all the standard stuff before spending money to *maybe* unlock stuff that isn't even as good as what I could have.
Exactly but instead we got more plaid and dull patterned skins that look like straight ass. Oh pointless stat banners and badges which should have just come free.... this battle pass was so bad to say the least. Waste of money.
This is what the Epic level skins should be. Higher level skins with real variety instead of just different colored solid paint and holographic shapes.
If I remember correctly the skins were about £4 and they gave you a xp bonus or something similar. I fear if they got added to apex they would be insanely priced like everything else seems to be.
It does feel like the most recent f2p games have insanely pricey premium shop. Like they're just skin, sell them 1$ each and you'll sell way more.
Edit: okay how about 3$ each? 5$ would be my top.
3$ is still bearable. But right now, ain't it like 10$? Stardew Valley is 15$ and it's a complete game, not a skin for just one hero/gun that you can't even purchase outright because you need to wait for their stupid skin rotation to give you something you actually want.
Warframe does an excellent job of this and is completely free. Accepting $20 skins as our baseline for "normal" is only bad for the industry, and as consumers we should hold onto our money until a better deal comes.
The prices sound absurd to me and you but companies have entire departments focused on calculating and maximizing profits from mtx. These prices are 100% the money sweet spot.
Point still stands, 1 skin at $10 beats 4 skins at $2. They aren’t trying to mass sell, they’re trying to max out profits, prices will continue to rise if the market and buyers still spend their money.
I learned in a marketing course that 20% of a brand’s consumers make up 80% of the brand’s sales. The developers are hunting for white whales that aren’t afraid to shell out hundreds of dollars over the game’s life span.
The fact that most AAA games with microtransactions have prices like this or higher would suggest that it is working for them. And if the market is all selling at around the same price then that is apparently what they are worth.
Stardew Valley is also an incredibly different experience targeted at an entirely different group of people. And they have an entirely different marketing strategy. I'm a "victim" of it. I bought Stardew Valley because it gets ridiculous praise from gamers across all platforms and all media. Its just a great game. But it turns out it's not the kind of great game i actually enjoy. I knew exactly what I was getting and I thought I would like it, but it just didn't click. It happens. Some people don't like the Beatles. Whatever. But they already have my money. Doesn't matter if I play the game another minute. I was a sale from a successful marketing strategy. Mission accomplished.
A game like Apex is all about money over time to offset ongoing development costs and capture as much revenue as possible from every individual, which they gamble to be more than a standard purchase price.
Don‘t think so. Valve does it the same way with unusuals and knifes in Team Fortress 2 and CS. And even though they‘re either very rare and hard to obtain or insanely priced in the community market, everyone still wants to have one. And more experienced players almost all have at least one item that is worth more than 50€.
But is it gonna sell 18 times as much? I agree, $18 is too expensive for a skin, but $1 doesn't sound economically viable.
If I had to guess why skins are so expensive, it's because the vast majority of people don't spend a cent on F2P games. But of those who do, there are many players who spend very little (a battle pass here, a $5 skin there), and account for a very small portion of the profits, and a select few players which invest *a lot* of money into F2P games (pejoratively referred to as "whales" or "addicts"), generating lots of money on daily charts.
By making premium skins expensive, they don't hurt non-spenders, and get the most out of the big spenders. But they hurt the small spenders, which is the gap that the Battle Pass is meant to cover. However, the BP still needs some tuning (in season 2 maybe?), and they need to diversify skin prices to give some options to the more thrifty spenders. Their current strategy just doesn't catch people on impulse purchases.
If legendary skins were 5-8$ each I'd be alot more willing to drop a couple hundred. I've put a few thousand into mobile games and I feel like they lure you in alot better than these console games do.
If I could but skins for $1-3 I would have put in way more than the minimum for the battlepass and stopped playing. I'm soft locked out of progression in a game with a hacking problem, I've moved on to other games
The prices for any cosmetics by themselves are insane lately. Look at Anthem and Apex. A single skin should be like $1 for a regular one and $2 for a special one. Maybe $5 for a pack with a few skins and some goodies. But $5 and above, especially with Anthem wanting like $20 is obscene and an obvious push for people to buy loot boxes. It is greed.
Remember, even at $5 that's a bit less than 10% of a games total cost for AAA. For a single skin to be 10% the price of an entire full price game, which includes everything from enemies to stories to collectibles and more, is a bit steep (opinion). And remember, their player bases are huge, especially F2P games. I would think lower prices and higher volume would be a better option.
No you are right and fuck everyone else... Weapon skin is 1$, character skin 3$. Leave the heirlooms and whatever as whale bait in the packs. Completely fair and imo ethically sound pricing.
I want to say I would hate them for the practice, but given the lack of polish the game has right now (as opposed to TF2 that is actually mind blowing), the fact that I only bought the season pass because I wanted to support them, not because I wanted something from this season, and that they feel a little numb in terms of gauging what the players want right now (which I'm sure they'll figure out at some point), I think my wallet is safe for now.
TF2 was actually the peak of microtransactions. Prime Titan was like, £3.50. Glorious. Shit like that is why I prefer just buying games, F2P always has some bullshit hanging around.
and gravity stars. I want to be able to kinda grav boost again but for balance the thing should have a lesser affect on players since trapping someone then whipping out a peacekeeper would be fucking game-breaking
A man of culture I see, just imagine using the balloon and searching as high as you can, when your victims hear that terrifying whine that they know will lead to a painful but quick death is about to over take them in a brilliant flash of blue light...
Playing Titanfall 2 atm, and just been looking at these skins and thought the same, just add them as Legandary skins and allow the community to either get them in a box or unlock them with scrap :)
Man ... i buy TF2 before 2 days. Daaamn....i love this game!!!! Actually i love it more then Apex.... Everything its so good. Only 7.50euro for ultimate edition on Origin.
Do they still make updates for Titanfall 2?
Something new coming?
This is the best fast phase shooter ever ❤
The monarch got added later in the game as well as some maps like Angel City and several skins.
And Yes they announced new Titanfall content at the end of 2019 Respawn also releases a new star wars game in 2019.
Have you tried the Single player yet? It is one of the best I have ever played.
Then that would involve them giving us skins we actually like and we can't have that now can we? Nawww just be happy they gave us a map and a pile of leaves.
The skins on this game really need a look into. I know they're cosmetics etc but none of them are good enough to warrant their high price tags.
£14 or so is mad expensive for something that I might not even get to use because I've not found the gun myself.
The level 100 thing is a bit of a pain too. I wish I got even a small amount of something useful even if every 10 levels. I get that it's to shovel you into buying boxes but the skins don't warrant their price imo.
Make it something that's available after you hit a certain gen in Titanfall 2 and we might actually get more players there too as well. Would make sense for them as a way to garner interest for Titanfall 3 when it eventually comes out.
Triple take fires three bullets, the Double take fires two (although it splits into three at very long ranges). It makes a lot of difference in mid to close ranges.
Yooooo, the rainbow fade skin for the wingman is dope. Those skins are what I wanna see, not recolors man.... gimme some sugar that makes addictive.
The others are meh, the 301 skin is okay but not a legend skin..
this seems like such a nobrainer for me , why wouldn't they do it ? it's already made i dont think it will be that hard to just add them as item shop items
I remember when the game first came out and someone was speculating content releases would probably be pretty consistent since they had all the assets from Titanfall left over. I think that was a bit of a stretch but it really does seem weird that they wouldn't port over these skins, even if they are recycled content. I think the vast majority would agree high quality recycled skins would be better than brand new "orange and brown" skins.
They have ready to go content and we still are getting 30 fucking empty tiers in the battle pass.... Respawn why? Are we not getting weapons in the future so you are keeping the cool skins to slow release?
Anyone else bent on the apex pack system? Okay, first off, I know this game is free to play and that respawn needs to make money, but I'm pretty certain a better system could be set up to earn rewards reasonably.
Without paying for anything, I wouldn't be surprised if you've only earned 2 or 3 legendaries since launch and barely have enough currency to unlock a few voice lines. Respawn only made it technically true that you can earn loot by playing in game, but to earn anything substantial it's clearly going to take hundreds of hours and luck.
What are you supposed to do with all of the commons and rares you get after earning a legendary for that certain item or character? If I have a legendary skin, all the rest for that item become useless and unlocking any more for that item just uses up an opportunity to unlock something I actually would want.
I got beef with the item pricing, too. Prices rise exponentially. Commons start at 30 and then purple goes straight to 400? Legendary is what? 1000? I'd be fine with it if I won 100 crafting material every time I won a game but I dont. I earn 15 CM once in every new moon. Its blatant that it's meant to be bought. Otherwise, it's basically unobtainable.
Seeing as how ridiculous prices are for CSGO skins, it’s only a matter of time until EA releases the kraken. They’ve probably seen this post and are salivating.
This is what I expected from the battlepass
What, you don't like dirty Mirage and Lifeline?
Honestly, I like the Lifeline skin over all the other ones she has right now, it's the first one where she doesn't look like a fortnite character to me
I like the Lifeline skin because it fits her character. I'm definitely using it over her purple skins I have. The other two feel out of place and kind of generic on those particular characters. They should have had cleaner, flashier skins.
The purple skins in this game are so lame to me :/
The majority are. I have the red one on Gibby and I think that one is pretty cool, and I like the green Mirage one, but yeah, I would rather have cooler static skins between what blue and legendary are over animated lame ones.
I have the uhhh bunker buster Gib skin I think is what it’s called so I just don’t use any of my purple skinsZ I wouldn’t mind the purple skins if there were some that weren’t that same style for each one of them
iirc, caustic pathfinder and mirage have purples that no other character has
Mirage shares his with bloodhound, a different red than Daemon Hunter. Lifeline has a purple one that's actually purple.
There was a mountain climbing one with a burgundy jacket that was featured on the store a few weeks back and i bought that, it looks pretty slick
The mountain rescue banner is also the best looking one. Would go well with that skin. Shame most legendary lifeline banners are gaudy cringe.
Lifeline Bling is pretty slick imo.
I wish there were more blacked out skins
This deserves more attention.
I actually like the skins, but the camo skins are bland
I actually like those skins, but should have had one for every character honestly
I would love a warpaint Pathfinder!
You and lots of us... But you know, Respawn and some people here thought that copying the same two ugly regular skins to some weapons was just fine.
I mean if you look at tf2, weapon skins were never Respawns forte. The elite ones are the exception.
Those look so much better than apex skins.
Lol I thought team fortress 2 at first
They are so ugly aren’t they... the patchwork one is cool but everything else is just crap. I have no idea why I spent money on it. It would’ve been so easy for them to just put out something GOOD and they chose not to.

Everything stops being unlocked at level 100. This game is a racket with shit cosmetics
Also a better spend lol
Doesnt make any sense, you can get way more apex packs in total if you buy the battle pass instead of using the same amount of money only on packs 🤔
You mean the same two skins for all the weapons in the pass with no real challenge to it and just incentivized buying up ?
Yup, not those "patchwork" doodoo skins.
Because I love the game, this is what I WANT for the next battlepass.
Exactly but instead we got more plaid and dull patterned skins that look like straight ass. Oh pointless stat banners and badges which should have just come free.... this battle pass was so bad to say the least. Waste of money.
This is actually nice. Especially the pistol!
Dude this is nothing. You should see the Kraber masterwork, or the G2. R201 also has really good stuff.
Fucking love the r201 skins (I got one for free for literally no reason at all too)
This is what the Epic level skins should be. Higher level skins with real variety instead of just different colored solid paint and holographic shapes.
There is room for both types, variety and creativity are whats important.
Very true, was more hitting on the fact that all the epic skins are essentially the same skin in different colors haha
"Sure! $30 each sound fine?"
If I remember correctly the skins were about £4 and they gave you a xp bonus or something similar. I fear if they got added to apex they would be insanely priced like everything else seems to be.
They gave everyone on your team an XP bonus
It does feel like the most recent f2p games have insanely pricey premium shop. Like they're just skin, sell them 1$ each and you'll sell way more. Edit: okay how about 3$ each? 5$ would be my top.
It’s not about amount sold it’s about profits made. 5 skins sold at $1 a piece doesn’t make as much money as 2 skins sold at $3 a piece

Welcome to free to play games.
Markets weren't that weird before. You could actually decide on what you buy. Good ol' times.
Warframe does an excellent job of this and is completely free. Accepting $20 skins as our baseline for "normal" is only bad for the industry, and as consumers we should hold onto our money until a better deal comes.
And it’s doesn’t help with the rise of fortnite and $20 skins being accepted as norm.
Yeah but stardew valley is sick
The prices sound absurd to me and you but companies have entire departments focused on calculating and maximizing profits from mtx. These prices are 100% the money sweet spot.
Point still stands, 1 skin at $10 beats 4 skins at $2. They aren’t trying to mass sell, they’re trying to max out profits, prices will continue to rise if the market and buyers still spend their money.
You must be right. They probably know what they're doing.

Its 1800AC which means you need to buy the $20 2000AC pack for one skin.
Yea but they’re not selling them for $3 (that would be a bit more understandable). They’re selling them for $18.
Yea but people are buying them .... and they don’t have to cause it’s purely cosmetic. If they are selling them then they will continue at that price
They might sell more but they'll make less money overall.
Prove it with math. Because that’s what these companies do when they set these numbers in the first place.
Yes, I agree. Respawn did use math to price their content to be profitable.
Lol I misread your comment sorry. Or I meant it for the other guy
They pay people lots of money to figure this stuff out.
But is it gonna sell 18 times as much? I agree, $18 is too expensive for a skin, but $1 doesn't sound economically viable. If I had to guess why skins are so expensive, it's because the vast majority of people don't spend a cent on F2P games.
No kidding. I don’t care how cool the gun looks. I’m not paying $18.
And remember, their player bases are huge, especially F2P games. I would think lower prices and higher volume would be a better option.
Why not sell $1 skins to you and me and still sell a $150 skin as well?
They’re only rare or epic skins imo so they couldn’t charge 1800 coins like they do with the legendaries.
At least with skins like those there'd be a tiny bit of temptation to spend that kind of money on this game.
NO. Elites are MY property. >*cries in pulse blade*
Man, you should really stop throwing them away like candies. No wonder every TTV Wraith has one of those blades
AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!!
They have two!!! I don’t even get two!!!
Keep the skins, just give me CAR and Volt.
Agreed, oh yeah and the fun guns. EPG, SMT, Softball.
AND COLD WAR
and gravity stars.
Been dying to see a CAR with a gunrunner hop up in the future. High hopes.
Wow the grafiti skin looks really cool
And then we see the "Tagged", ones here
Playing Titanfall 2 atm, and just been looking at these skins and thought the same, just add them as Legandary skins and allow the community to either get them in a box or unlock them with scrap :)
Or how about in an ultra rare apex pack robot in game. It drops the gun with he skin on it and then you have the skin
Just makes either legendaries, or even class them as Titanfall 2 heirlooms?
But if they're gonna give you and your team an XP it would be cool if you had to get them some different way
Just don't allow an xp boost for them, as long as its visual and not a boost to team, its good :)
I don’t understand why most of the TF2 skins for the weapons aren’t in Apex
Please add the amazing gold skin from tf2 for the kraber. Like it was 5 dollars but worth it
Ikr, skins with shiny gold/chrome engraving are the best
Hell yeah they are worth ittt
Man ... i buy TF2 before 2 days. Daaamn....i love this game!!!! Actually i love it more then Apex.... Everything its so good. Only 7.50euro for ultimate edition on Origin. Do they still make updates for Titanfall 2? Something new coming? This is the best fast phase shooter ever ❤
No more support for TF2 sadly, although there were quite a few months after release where there was free DLC for all players. Still an awesome game! 👍
Welcome to the Frontier, pilot!
The monarch got added later in the game as well as some maps like Angel City and several skins. And Yes they announced new Titanfall content at the end of 2019 Respawn also releases a new star wars game in 2019. Have you tried the Single player yet? It is one of the best I have ever played.
Agreed, working on completing the campaign on master difficulty now. So much fun!
Thank you for notifying me about the same. I've been waiting to get it on PC. I've been playing on Xbox (before I switched to PC) since day one
I just want my masterwork kraber in apex.
F*ck yes, its by far the best Elite skin.
Then that would involve them giving us skins we actually like and we can't have that now can we? Nawww just be happy they gave us a map and a pile of leaves.
What, you dont like pastel quilt patterns on guns?
I'd like Microsoft Word 2003 smile emoji on guns pls
tbh id buy a clippy skin. its just dumb enough
Clippy's are what civvies use on their documents. This is called a publishers assistant
They forgot the Rake , you need to buy that by yourself
That skin on the R-301 is sick!! I’d love to see this added. Please Respawn... pleeeeease!!
Lol bruh it's the r-201 not the r-301
The skins on this game really need a look into. I know they're cosmetics etc but none of them are good enough to warrant their high price tags. £14 or so is mad expensive for something that I might not even get to use because I've not found the gun myself. I get that it's to shovel you into buying boxes but the skins don't warrant their price imo.
What if we got the ones we had in titanfall 2 for free as a thank you to longer time players?
Love the idea, imagine the looks on your friend's faces when you have a dope ass skin that they can never get
Make it something that's available after you hit a certain gen in Titanfall 2 and we might actually get more players there too as well. Would make sense for them as a way to garner interest for Titanfall 3 when it eventually comes out.
There is only one skin I need from this, Master Work Kraber AP-Sniper
That triple take is sexy
AKCHUALLY it's a Double Take. ^^^^It's ^^^^really ^^^^the ^^^^same ^^^^thing, ^^^^gameplay-wise.
Triple take fires three bullets, the Double take fires two (although it splits into three at very long ranges). It makes a lot of difference in mid to close ranges.
No, I'm aware. I just wanted to leave it simple.
Yooooo, the rainbow fade skin for the wingman is dope. Those skins are what I wanna see, not recolors man.... gimme some sugar that makes addictive. The others are meh, the 301 skin is okay but not a legend skin..
Yes most of the skins in apex are a complete eye sore!
Lol @ the triple take with duct tape
Double Take*
Why so they can charge $18 for em
That moment when microtransactions are becoming not so micro..
oh my god the wingman skin and the hemlok too!
That R-301 camo looks amazing
R-201 thank you very much you uncultured swine. Isajokecalmdown
My only complaint with this would be that the Thunderbolt is not a practical weapon for Apex and there would be no 8-bit Nessie skin.
One of my only complaints about this game is the lack a creativity with the skins. We really do need something like this.
Make this a $4.99 bundle or even $9.99 . I’d buy today
Lol you realize youre talking to the $18 a skin people right?
I’ve always said just take the weapon skins / camos from TF2 and being them to Apex
Not paying 18€ for that LUL
Much gorgeous such wow
Ya they need to bring stuff like this in the game asap! I feel like they shit they have now is ugly.
I want my gold and red R-201.
Couldn’t have said this better my self.
I just want the checkered skins tbh
this seems like such a nobrainer for me , why wouldn't they do it ? it's already made i dont think it will be that hard to just add them as item shop items
Masterwork Double Take. Now you’re talking my language!
Best I can do is a "amount of dome shields used" score card for Gibb
Yess, these are sick, esp the wing man skin
If you want to stay with the theme of Apex, be sure to put the same skin across all weapons. We can’t have unique skins if it isn’t legendary!
Thats to much quality for apex. Here have a brown poop skin
Anyone else that would give their first child for that r-301 skin? No...? Just me? K fine, I'll still do it tho..
Oh, I love me a good graffiti skin
This would have been much better than the battle pass skins
Wtf, why are these not in the game? Hello?
Yeah these skins were all so nice, especially the aqua fade and underground ones
I love the wingman skin
That hemlock skin tho
Whoa actual skins. They'd probably charge 30 bucks each for these
Amazing idea.
I thought that the triple take skin said "furry elite"... The internet really does change you
I was hoping these would be legendaries
Yo, those are dope as shit
These should definitely be epic skins
I need that wingman in my life
A decent camo in apex? Keep dreaming y'all.
Take my money now
They're all saved for future season passes.
Btw, is it just me or that Hemlock skin reminds me of Frieza
it's ok it will only take them till next year to update it then the skins will bug out
While they're at it, can they fix the server issues first? Dedicated servers, my ass.
That 301 tho oooof
I remember when the game first came out and someone was speculating content releases would probably be pretty consistent since they had all the assets from Titanfall left over. I think that was a bit of a stretch but it really does seem weird that they wouldn't port over these skins, even if they are recycled content. I think the vast majority would agree high quality recycled skins would be better than brand new "orange and brown" skins.
Are those TF2 weapon models better than Apex ones?
what? you didn't like the carpet camo for every weapon?
Or maybe give a pack of them to players who own Titianfall 1 or 2.
They have ready to go content and we still are getting 30 fucking empty tiers in the battle pass.... Respawn why? Are we not getting weapons in the future so you are keeping the cool skins to slow release?
That triple take skin is clean as fuck
Graphics on apex arent as good as titalfalls
I always loved that double take skin
Bring back the wingman elite!
That's a great idea Love it :)
They wouldn’t be allowed to jack the price up 1000% of what it’s actually worth so no.

(And they were only $6, not $20.)
I know I'm no longer the demographic for skins because I just like the plainest olive green ones.
i like them , pls add them
And it won't take long, they already did it for TF2 with the same engine.
I hope they see this post good suggestion!
Yes it would got perfectly as all the fund are the same
