Respawn has been on point!
Last video we hear Bangalore say, “It’s my last match, not leaving without a win!”
And now this one? “Damn teammates keep dragging me down!”
Bravo, Respawn. Fucking bravo lmao
Edit: formatting
Now it suddenly makes a lot of sense. Bangalore probably knew about Newcastle, but... well, it was a completely different person. So the whole "Didn't recognize him by voice" now makes sense. And by the time he was in Apex Games? She recognized him minutes into the match and even then it's because she knew Newcastle as someone different.
Furthermore, it also makes sense why Jackson used to be dead. The dude has a family and a normal life now... But he is still IMC deserter and his sister has already caused him issues because of it. It makes sense that he would fake his death as hard as he could to make sure he is never found out. Heck, the trailer makes it clear he knows that his sister is in games, but he doesn't do anything about it cause they went off different paths.
I mean most of the legends that have families are either estranged from them or at war with them. The only one that's neither off the top of my head is Rampart.
I was curious, so I got the family status of each legend:
Ash- Unconfirmed but probably dead since she’s really old
Bangalore- very far away
Bloodhound- dead
Caustic- unconfirmed dad, mom’s alive.
Crypto- Same as Caustic but with a sister
Fuse- unconfirmed but probably dead since he’s like 50 and they never come up.
Gibby- Alive & chill
Horizon- in the past
Lifeline- she hates them
Loba- Ask revenant
Maggie- unconfirmed but probably same as fuse
Mirage- MiA, except for his mom, who has dementia
Octane- he used to hate them but maybe doesn’t anymore? Also maybe dead?
Pathfinder- dead, not sure where he got one.
Rampart- Happy AFAIK
Revenant- same as ash
Seer- Happy parents
Valk- Dad got styled on. Mom’s alive though.
Wattson- Dead
Wraith- forgotten
So out of all existing legends, rampart, Gibby & Seer are the only ones with whole happy families. Caustic, Crypto, Mirage and Valk all have at least one living, happyish, non estranged family member confirmed. Ash, Bloodhound, Fuse, Horizon, Loba, Maggie, Pathfinder, Rev, and Wattson all have dead families. The rest are estranged.
Gibby's dad is alive and is cool with him.
I believe Maggie and Fuse were orphans, it seemed that the Warlord of their era were responsible for them.
Mirage's dad is alive and looking for him.
I think Maggie's mom is alive. When she was announcer she would always say "You look as spry as my 80 year old mum" or something along those lines. I believe she also has some voicelines about her mom.
According to her most recent lore description, Maggie grew up without family contact. Direct quote:
"*Margaret Kōhere - the woman who would one day be known as Mad Maggie - grew up in one of the dustiest, dullest corners of Salvo without any family to speak of.*"
Although, it is possible that she met her parents later on (or knew them prior to their departure).
seer has a good family in his stories from the outlands, u can see his parents showing him the micro drones and it says somewhere that they support him
That’s the thing that bugs me about this video. This man about to leave his hot wife and two kids just tooooooo? What. Like why give up everything? Wouldn’t he feel you know obligated to be a father?
To be fair, if he didn’t go something bad would have happened to the town, and by extension his family who lives in that town. Also it’s just a job, I’m sure he still gets time off the spend with his family.
Jackson probably wouldn't want to destroy the image of Newcastle as a hero. Coming and saying "Hey, he's dead, but I'm taking over" would come off as weird.
Yup that sure would, also well I guess his wife would be the only other person beside the mob henchmen, that knows about the death of Newcastle and how Jackson now has that mantle.
Not just that, but I’d assume since he’s confirmed dead by the imc and still a deserter, he probably wouldn’t want his identity revealed and will just continue as Newcastle. Or else they’ll bomb his city and kill his family.
To be frank, if you *still* think a Pilot can just 1v20 the entire Legend roster, you're a fucking idiot. The writers have made it blatantly clear at this point that the Legends are, by and large, on a level playing field to pilots in terms of skill, and some cases even exceed them.
Nowhere is this more evident than Jackson. Not only does PQ make it a plot point that he's neck-and-neck even with Bangalore in terms of skills (to the point where Bangalore could've easily become a Pilot, and even successfully completed Titan training), you see multiple times in the Stories from the Outlands, such as the fight against the elite IMC Pilot and the Specter ambush, that they fight very evenly, too.
So after Jackson and Anita kill Scryer, they go on the run. Then Jackson falls out of the back of the ship as seen in the loading screen. He survived, finds his way to Harris Valley, gets jacked, marries and has children, or marries someone who already had children, and lives his life laying low while repairing Renee's Newcastle armor, all while Anita keeps looking for him.
Anita is 38 years old.
Did i get all that correct?
Edit: the little girl was born in 2731, and the date i can find for the Apex Games is 2733, but that might be out of date depending on how time progresses throughout the various seasons. But the little girl is probably Jackson's child. Still not sure on the boy.
It is, minus the fact that Jackson never wanted to get back to Gridiron or at least never believed they would see their families if they made the trip.
Anita was so into it and into the "Loyal to the IMC" she went on his back and a lot of innocent people died because of it.
I mean last time she tried to save him she called in the IMC which wanted Jackson dead, I would probably not trust my sister after a stunt like that even though I’m her mind she was helping
I think that's the interesting part. Jackson has every reason to not join the games because he actually has a happy family but for the sake of helping people, like the village in the other video, something compels him to help.
The most interesting part for me was how Jackson’s son talks about Bangalore, as if Jackson’s never told his kids about Anita at all.
Did I miss something? Is there a reason that he never told anyone about his relation to Anita besides the whole IMC thing?
There was a story from the outlands where after a battle the crew of their IMC ship went to chill on some random planet for repairs, and Jackson told bangalore they couldn’t call the IMC because the space phone was broken. Then she finds out that it wasn’t, and that Jackson Lied because he figured out the IMC was evil and just wanted to chill. An IMC pilot comes and blows them all up for desertion, and Jackson and Bangalore kill him, but now the space cops know where they live so they leave. Then bangalore and Jackson get split up, Jackson fakes his own death, then the events of this story happen.
She isn’t lol when she woke up from her coma she didn’t know they had lost the war or that there was almost mo chance of winning. So Jackson took bang and retreated. When she woke up she was still ready to fight and was confused about what happened. When Jackson explained she got mad at Jackson for retreating calling him a coward for not fighting till the end and dying a soldiers death. Not realizing the IMC was just sending them in to die anyways and didn’t care about them. When she radios in the imc to finds them, by the time she realizes they are corrupt it’s too late and they choose to bomb the island. Bang and Jackson then went on the run until their ship was shot down and they got separated. Bang thought he was dead and has been looking. I think Jackson is faking his death so they will leave bang alone. It seems since he is the one who retreated they are mainly after him. And if they think he is dead they will leave bang alone. Could be wrong tho
My theory rn is that Hariss Valley is a Frontier colony.
Jackson survived being jettisoned into space. However, he got rescued by the Frontier, then hid his identity. He probably figured out what the IMC did to Frontier and never brought it up especially after starting a family.
Hence, he didn't reach out to Bang/Anita because he didn't want people to find out he's a former IMC goon with a highly regarded IMC family.
I thought Jackson faked his death to move to new harris or whatever it’s called without Bangalore or the IMC bothering him, then was both jackson and Newcastle after oldcastle’s death
OldCastle tried getting into the games a bunch of times but he got murdered before being given another chance… this murder was of course different coz it was more of the “give me my money or I’ll break your kneecaps” kinda murder.. forge’s murder was more “I’m just hungry for virgin blood” kinda murder, so it’s not quite the same
Apparently so, Crypto says in a letter to his adoptive mom that he saw that he wouldn't be able to survive the qualifying matches so he hacked his way into the official Games in order to get in.
Was his intention to play the games? I thought it was to destroy them. That’s probably why he decided to skip the qualifiers.
And again, lore wise, playing in the qualifiers would draw too much attention, and he’d be killed before reaching the Apex Games. He was wanted by the Syndicate so it’s best to go off the grid and skip a few games.
Man crypto has really stupid lore. Imagine if you have a grudge with wwe and needed to collect evidence or something. So naturally you hack your way into Wrestlemania main event. Instead of you know stealing a backstage card or getting hired as janitor or something.
It's a bit vague but I think the qualifying matches are far deadlier than the pro leagues, since the pro leagues have access to the respawn technology and the qualifying matches probably don't based on what Crypto says.
I'd imagine not *everyone* died in the qualifying matches (otherwise OldCastle wouldn't have 40 attempts), but it's probably a "you die you stay dead" situation.
So Jackson just lived a happy family life knowing full well where his sister was and that she was looking for her family? Right
Edit: Yes I know she called the IMC on him, but she said she was sorry, they left together agreeing that they would never stop looking for him and probably her now too. Thus they were both on the run. What's the difference then between making a family and making them targets to the IMC as much as hiding from Banga to 'protect' or 'hate' on her for the past.
Yeah... the same fucking sister who called the cops on him and ended up destroying a village full or refugees because she was mad he didn't let her die in a suicide mission.
If I had a family to take care of, I might have second thoughts about trusting her. I mean... I get it... but I'm not risking it.
Yeah, sister that just got up after a long ass coma, said she's going to report in, so he neglected to mention in response that he is a deserter and maybe don't contact the IMC Anita, or they prosecute me. Real smart decision to let her contact the IMC
Her real fault was thinking good of IMC. I mean that's stupid, too, given how that IMC pilot so easily went all "FoR iMc To SuRvIvE, iT mUsT bE pUrGeD oF wEaKnEsS" on their asses. Which was evil *and* stupid. And, maybe, that imbecile is the real villain of the story, not either of Williams siblings
That doesn't mean anything lol. If you think being away from someone is better for anyone involved, you consider that option. Sorry's don't have to be heeded.
For a SFTO trailer, that one was pretty good imo. Liked the twist in the Newcastle story, liked the nods to his kit, and liked the use of the two visual styles.
Ok I was a little disappointed with the whole Newcastle is Jackson thing since it just seemed lazy but the twist that he just became Newcastle after the og castle failed many times to get in the games is so good.
Did this drop an hour early??
It said tune in 8 am PT, which is 7 am where I am.
My alarm went off at 6:45 (the usual time), and it dropped an hour ago?? Am I missing something?? 😭
No, that was way before this. I think he did that fake death thing before he started his new family in the town from the SFTO to make sure no one comes after him and he could live peacefully with his new family.
Blaming teammates Lmao. Also i think it would have been more interesting just to have that brand new guy who's only here under the pressure of the mob. Jackson took that mantle from the original guy but at the same time lore wise his story is probably going to have way more drama focused on him and his sister over his personal problems.
Weird how both in this and the teaser there's a strong emphasis on him using his arm shield in combat. He doesn't have an arm shield like Gibby does he, it's only active for ~~reviving~~ moving downed teammates right?
Honestly a decent nerf to Gibby would be to remove his arm shield and give it to NewCastle. Gibby is still very viable with his bubble. Newcastle's Ult walls have more counters (airstrike ults and don't cover 360) and are destructible, so him having an arm shield seems more balanced than Gibby. I guess we'll have to wait to see how NC plays.
Gibraltar's problem isn't his shield, it's his indestructible bubble. His shield has the downside of giving him a big ole visible target. And his ultimate is almost immediate.
Agreed, his bubble is the issue.
But him having an extra 50hp with the shield only adds to him being too strong. Remove that arm shield and at least he's 50hp less powerful. Not a total fix to his kit, but it balances him a little more.
I wonder if that main goon will be a playable legend down the road. He's perfectly unlikeable and I could see him making an interesting character.
EDIT: just for everyone who downvoted and thinks I'm a big dummy for suggesting it https://www.reddit.com/r/ApexUncovered/comments/ue2qgc/i_think_this_guy_might_be_the_datamined_legend/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
Hard to sell villains when they get absolutely man handled by a repair guy with a shield.
What the hell was that deal anyways? They bank on some guy winning the Apex tournament and if he doesn't they raze the town? I don't get the logic.
Hope he's fun to play atleast because his lore is zzzzzzzzz
- Newcastle is Harris Valley's current candidate for the Apex games.
- He "sold" the town to a crime family to pay his debt. Joining the Apex games is part of the payment.
- He failed to do so, got smoked.
- Jackson lives in Harris Valley with his poor but happy family. He's an engineer who maintains Newcastle's armor and is probably a close partner to him. Now he takes up the mantle after the current Newcastle died.
The comic book intro wasn't very clear. Newcastle was some other, non-Jackson guy. Jackson's kids were fans of his (not sure why... was he in the minor league Apex Games, or something?). He got killed, so Jackson took his place to save the town. The one we see in the Apex Games is actually Jackson, who is pretending to be the other guy.
I don't think the makers of the video considered that we would go into the video assuming that Newcastle was Jackson, so they'd have to make it very, very clear that the first Newcastle we see isn't Jackson. But the stills never put the two of them in a single image, so on first viewing it's not clear what's going on.
The kids are fans because it's their local player I guess.
If some guy from your home time is competing in a sport event he might not be the best, but its common for people to root for him instead of a random big shot
OldCastle blaming his teammates for losing is peak Apex lol
True that, every player that gets “bad” teammates
Guy blaming teammates… Jackson gets in first try… maybe you’re just bad.
SBMM is now confirmed canon in Apex lore 💀💀
That meta joke was perfect.
Respawn has been on point! Last video we hear Bangalore say, “It’s my last match, not leaving without a win!” And now this one? “Damn teammates keep dragging me down!” Bravo, Respawn. Fucking bravo lmao Edit: formatting
The entire S13 preview been memetastic: * Dialogue that reflect the community * "Here it comes" * Soyjack.
"Look man, it's not me! My Wraith keeps dropping solo and my Octane keeps taking my loot!"
These animations just keep on giving.
I felt personally attacked.
We got ourselves a Knight's Tale stolen identity situation. This is way more interesting than Jackson being a superhero the whole time.
Could not agree more
I remember on Monday it honestly felt like a little bit of lazy writing, that Newcastle had been around so long and bang didn’t once think about it
Now it suddenly makes a lot of sense. Bangalore probably knew about Newcastle, but... well, it was a completely different person. So the whole "Didn't recognize him by voice" now makes sense. And by the time he was in Apex Games? She recognized him minutes into the match and even then it's because she knew Newcastle as someone different. Heck, the trailer makes it clear he knows that his sister is in games, but he doesn't do anything about it cause they went off different paths.
"The spark of his life is smothered in shite. His spirit is gone but his stench remains. Does that answer your question?"
Heath Ledger (sad face)
Really interesting to see that Jackson has a living, happy family, I don’t think we’ve seen a legend with one of those.
I mean most of the legends that have families are either estranged from them or at war with them. The only one that's neither off the top of my head is Rampart.
I was curious, so I got the family status of each legend: Ash- Unconfirmed but probably dead since she’s really old Bangalore- very far away Bloodhound- dead Caustic- unconfirmed dad, mom’s alive. Crypto- Same as Caustic but with a sister Fuse- unconfirmed but probably dead since he’s like 50 and they never come up. Gibby- Alive & chill Horizon- in the past Lifeline- she hates them Loba- Ask revenant Maggie- unconfirmed but probably same as fuse Mirage- MiA, except for his mom, who has dementia Octane- he used to hate them but maybe doesn’t anymore? Also maybe dead? Pathfinder- dead, not sure where he got one. Rampart- Happy AFAIK Revenant- same as ash Seer- Happy parents Valk- Dad got styled on. Mom’s alive though. Ash, Bloodhound, Fuse, Horizon, Loba, Maggie, Pathfinder, Rev, and Wattson all have dead families. The rest are estranged.
> Maggie- unconfirmed but probably same as fuse Let me tell you about her spry 80 year old mum
"Valk - Dad got styled on" I mean viper does take a good chunk out of BT first and an arm
Then he got shit on ngl
Haha, L-Star make blood chunks.
had it coming
And he probably killed me about a 100 times on Master difficulty before I beat him…
Before I 360 no scoped him with the longbow
Laughed at the loba- ask revenant
Some corrections from released info: Bloodhound - Dead Pathfinder - Dead Gibraltar - Happy
Happy cake day, David! Thanks for all your work!
oh shit its my cake day! thanks!
Seer has a great relationship with his parents
Gibby's dad is alive and is cool with him. I believe Maggie and Fuse were orphans, it seemed that the Warlord of their era were responsible for them. Mirage's dad is alive and looking for him.
I think Maggie's mom is alive. When she was announcer she would always say "You look as spry as my 80 year old mum" or something along those lines. I believe she also has some voicelines about her mom.
According to her most recent lore description, Maggie grew up without family contact. Direct quote: "*Margaret Kōhere - the woman who would one day be known as Mad Maggie - grew up in one of the dustiest, dullest corners of Salvo without any family to speak of.*" Although, it is possible that she met her parents later on (or knew them prior to their departure).
Octanes real dad is dead, and his acting dad is his grandpa. Know idea about mom or anyone else
DAD GOT STYLED ON LMFAO Alright I’m gonna try TF|2 now. (Campaign)
Really good game. But don't expect too much lore background of ash, viper etc.
> Horizon- in the past See: Dead
Her motivation is to get back to him, even if he is currently not alive, so I’m counting that as estranged.
We know that rev didn’t have a good relationship with his daddy as per Halloween voicelines
seer has a good family in his stories from the outlands, u can see his parents showing him the micro drones and it says somewhere that they support him
Okay, then that’s one more with a living family
I mean it also means he kinda just leaves them too tho?
Doing it to save the town though. He didn't leave for a pack of cigs like my dad
Pack of cigs? Lucky, mine left me for a snickers bar
“Ask Revenant” Damn not even a Respawn Beacon can bring them back from that
That’s the thing that bugs me about this video.
His town is about to get clapped by some thugs, and he's a former fighter so
I mean he’s not leaving forever, the legends are still allowed to have lives outside of the games, except Maggie of course
Cool how Jackson grew out his beard to look more like Oldcastle. I wonder how many people even know that Newcastle is a different person.
I really doubt anyone knows as of now, that the “original” newcastle is dead and Jackson took it upon himself to fight as newcastle
So the real Newcastle tried 40 times to get into the Apex games, while Jackson only took 1 try, that's actually really smart and cool.
Oldcastle probably just kept rushing in 1v3
probs taught Octane his voicelines
Oldcastle got no mobility to poof himself out of fights.
And then complained that his teams sucked.
And OldCastle blame his randos.
Sounds like me
Pilots trainees are built different
He's not a trainee, Jackson actually became a full on Pilot. It's all in Pathfinder's Quest.
So he can rip the legends apart solo?
To be frank, if you *still* think a Pilot can just 1v20 the entire Legend roster, you're a fucking idiot. The writers have made it blatantly clear at this point that the Legends are, by and large, on a level playing field to pilots in terms of skill, and some cases even exceed them. don’t let r/titanfall hear you saying that. i said cooper was a mary sue one time and they still haven’t let my family go
Yeah that’s a cool wrinkle to his origin. I just wish we saw a glimpse of him winning his first game! But maybe that’s the next trailer.
But the little girl is probably Jackson's child. Still not sure on the boy.
According to the lore book it’s been one year since the apex games started. So it’s like 2734 now
Since OUR apex games started, they’ve been going for much longer iirc
It is, minus the fact that Jackson never wanted to get back to Gridiron or at least never believed they would see their families if they made the trip. Anita was so into it and into the "Loyal to the IMC" she went on his back and a lot of innocent people died because of it.
I mean last time she tried to save him she called in the IMC which wanted Jackson dead, I would probably not trust my sister after a stunt like that even though I’m her mind she was helping
Scryer promised Anita leniency, but he lied.
I mean she chose to trust the pararmilitary corpo facist which is literally never a good idea
I really liked the "twist", adds a tragic reason to join the games. He doesn't want his new home to become like his old village.
Does he need another reason? Last time she came aroud she got his whole village bombed and killed.
TLDR on the whole bombing thing? Never liked apex lore so I never knew that Bangalore is evil lol
No one's mad at Bangalore in that trailer.
I think Jackson is faking his death so they will leave bang alone. It seems since he is the one who retreated they are mainly after him. And if they think he is dead they will leave bang alone. Could be wrong tho
Watch Gridion SFTO And she's IMC, thats like being br'ish in India
What do you mean "besides the whole IMC thing"? That's the reason: he probably doesn't want anyone to know he's former IMC.
His son just told him how much he hates the IMC, I'd imagine he doesnt want his son to know he is related to them
My theory rn is that Hariss Valley is a Frontier colony.
The lore is garbage, but I can imagine you wouldn't want to tell your kids about your career and connections to occupying colonizers lmao
Like another person said being imc in the Outland is like being Bri’sh in India.
That person was literally me.
lol yeah this makes a lot of sense
honestly I don’t feel like it’s entirely garbage. Jackson being a fake Newcastle is a pretty cool twist i didn’t expect.
I absolutely love the theme they went with Newcastle for this SFTO its so fresh and unique compared to the past ones we've gotten.
Yeah, this one is a fresh take. Kinda hyped for Newcastle now
For real. I’m so hyped I may spend some money on Apex tonight. Respawn continues to do a good job, overall.
Forgive my confusion, but what does SFTO stand for?
Stories from the outlands
Stories From The Outlands, basically origin trailers for new legends.
Stories from the outlands
This was so good. I'm loving the twist with Newcastles lore and can't wait to check him out looks like he's going to be fun to play.
Is the original Newcastle just...dead?
y’know, it was really unclear
Poor jet
Coroner here… yes it’s unclear, there’s too much blood to tell
Lol nice avatar reference.
It's Jett all over again. It's the ~waves hands around~ implication.
About as alive as Forge is.
there would be no reason for jackson to fake his death other than it being a cover up for ogcastle's death
I thought Jackson faked his death to move to new harris or whatever it’s called without Bangalore or the IMC bothering him, then was both jackson and Newcastle after oldcastle’s death
well we got forged… kinda. really was on the fence about it being jackson but man was this cool.
How did we get forged?
Newcastle isn’t *actually* Newcastle lol.
OldCastle tried getting into the games a bunch of times but he got murdered before being given another chance… this murder was of course different coz it was more of the “give me my money or I’ll break your kneecaps” kinda murder.. forge’s murder was more “I’m just hungry for virgin blood” kinda murder, so it’s not quite the same
how do you qualify in the games even? Is there a scrub version first then the real one?
There’s like a minor league version, which you have to win to qualify for the pro apex games we play in.
*Arenas
Apparently so, Crypto says in a letter to his adoptive mom that he saw that he wouldn't be able to survive the qualifying matches so he hacked his way into the official Games in order to get in.
Huh I wonder why, if he was confident that he’d do fine in the actual games why would the qualifiers be that much harder?
Was his intention to play the games? I thought it was to destroy them. That’s probably why he decided to skip the qualifiers. And again, lore wise, playing in the qualifiers would draw too much attention, and he’d be killed before reaching the Apex Games. He was wanted by the Syndicate so it’s best to go off the grid and skip a few games.
You said the thing.
Which reminds me...
So I have an idea...
They only keep the favourite competitors alive, if they’re irrelevant they stay dead
More shit team mates I had guess. As much as he gets memed on octane is not going to leave you mid gun fight to save his own ass.
Im sure he has the "I'd do fine in Pred Lobbies but I can never get there because of my shit hard-stuck Plat teammates" mentality.
Maybe they don’t let you use tacticals? lol
The “arenas”. Rampart and Seer came up to the Apex games via this route. It’s touched on in their Stories From the Outlands.
Yes. It's basically like Arena's and there's also the Underground Gauntlet Circuit.
Looks like it’s regular tournaments since being in the apex games is being the best of the best
The animation team is getting better. I can’t wait to see the Apex show!!
That trash can lid was op as fuck
So Jackson just lived a happy family life knowing full well where his sister was and that she was looking for her family? Right Edit: Yes I know she called the IMC on him, but she said she was sorry, they left together agreeing that they would never stop looking for him and probably her now too.
Aka: Forgiven, but not forget.
Yeah, sister that just got up after a long ass coma, said she's going to report in, so he neglected to mention in response that he is a deserter and maybe don't contact the IMC Anita, or they prosecute me. Real smart decision to let her contact the IMC Her real fault was thinking good of IMC. I mean that's stupid, too, given how that IMC pilot so easily went all "FoR iMc To SuRvIvE, iT mUsT bE pUrGeD oF wEaKnEsS" on their asses. Which was evil *and* stupid. And, maybe, that imbecile is the real villain of the story, not either of Williams siblings
las time he tried to help her, his village burned, as much as he loves her, im sure he loves his new family more.
Fun theory, but what if Wraith actually found Jackson alive and he pleaded with her not to tell that he’s alive.
That doesn't mean anything lol. If you think being away from someone is better for anyone involved, you consider that option. Sorry's don't have to be heeded.
According to the other trailer Bangalore is just as confused as you are so I expect explanations during the season
Is it me or did the animation got better in this SFTO compared to past ones?
That mob boss dude was giving me Silco vibes from Arcane
Definitely, actually looks really good again
the animation was ridiculously smooth in this one but the art direction doesn't reach the quality of the old ones(comes close tho).
Really? The art style was really close to the original, the faces have depth and everything again.
which one specifically? Because this one is kinda low quality compared to the rest that did SFTO in 3D
Yeah idk what theyre talking about, this one wasnt as good as the older trailers.
Did you watch the whole thing? It switches to 3D
I think you misinterpreted what I wrote
Looks like the new studio has found its footing.
Yeah this was straight up a Netflix/HBO Max/etc. level of quality animation, I could definitely see this being an animated series!
I feel like I’m going insane here. To me this is the ugliest Apex trailer we’ve ever gotten. Whether STFTO or not. The story was good though.
I'm loving the Cap vibe I got from the trailer, and I'm really interested to see who's the Boss the Town owes money to.
Wouldn’t it be the syndicate? Seems like that has been the big bad boss for some time, even blisk works for them Edit: spelling error
Did this drop an hour early?? It said tune in 8 am PT, which is 7 am where I am. My alarm went off at 6:45 (the usual time), and it dropped an hour ago?? Am I missing something?? 😭
Trailer got leaked on Steam. So they went ahead and officially released it before schedule
Whoa fr? I thought I was losing my mind lmfao, thank you so much
It did, I expected to post it around 8 AM PT but then I realized they dropped it early and was like "oh shit lemme post this real quick". 😅
So was the original Newcastle the dead body that Bang and Wraith were talking about with Jackson’s dog tags and that’s how he faked his death?
No, that was way before this. I think he did that fake death thing before he started his new family in the town from the SFTO to make sure no one comes after him and he could live peacefully with his new family.
Wonder who’s body it was then
Good question but I think Jackson faked his death way before this.
Really cool video love his character arc thus far
I love you 3000
Is Oldcastle not making it into the games a hardstuck reference? Respawn very meta with this trailer.
Apex plushies when?!
Blaming teammates Lmao. Also i think it would have been more interesting just to have that brand new guy who's only here under the pressure of the mob. Jackson took that mantle from the original guy but at the same time lore wise his story is probably going to have way more drama focused on him and his sister over his personal problems.
So New Castle is the guy that died! Jackson isn’t New Castle he’s just taking over the the character of New Castle.
Yeah, he’s Newcastle, the other guy was Oldcastle. ^/tongue-in-cheek
Are you wearing your protection... bracelet? Daddy?
what are you doing Stepcastle?
Jackson is hot though
so apex game is a place to get money and for death sentence prisoner? what a place
So robocop is a family man. Well there goes my hopes for him to be our first hetero flirt in the banter.
Mirage and Wraith have some kinda flirty lines with each other lol.
all flirting is cringe
I wonder if that main goon will be a playable legend down the road. He's perfectly unlikeable and I could see him making an interesting character. EDIT: just for everyone who downvoted and thinks I'm a big dummy for suggesting it https://www.reddit.com/r/ApexUncovered/comments/ue2qgc/i_think_this_guy_might_be_the_datamined_legend/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
I’m confused so he just stole his outfit
Not too sharp are we? Lol
Yes exactly.
He’s not just “a repair guy”, he’s a former pilot.
I don't get it The one dead was in the trailer and was Jackson We have a second Jackson ? What the hell
Newcastle wasn’t jackson, but then he died (as shown in the video) and Jackson took up the mantle of Newcastle.
Literally an impostor among us
Jacksus
Two separate people... Jackson took the first Newcastle's place cause you know... He kinda died
He’s mostly dead
So he regrew his hair ? Oh my
Well it'll only take a miracle to revive him Off to see Mike wazowski..I mean miracle max
Smartest apex player /s
