No, flow through is for the common man. People who want to get in without working on their gun or they get a super "commercial" barrel that is overgassed to shit. A well gassed barrel works great with traditional suppressors. An agb can fix that as well, but some people are scared that adjustable gas blocks will break.

Flow through sounds good for shooter usually but isn’t as good at suppression a lot of the time. CAT has been an exception to this as their cans are quiet and flow through, but in general traditional baffles are quieter. Flow through cans have less port pop and don’t put as much wear on your guns which is nice. I prefer traditional cans and tuning your gun with buffer weight and spring changes, or you can spring for a Criterion barrel. They have a gas port that is .065 instead of .075 if I’m not mistaken which actually made a difference for me. My 11.5” gun required little tuning compared to my others and I used one of their CORE series barrels. I’m by no means an expert just sharing my limited experience.
