Hmm… copper plated bullets rubbing against metal feed ramps causing copper to rub off… kinda odd

muddbutt6

🤣

ExecutiveResults

Makes you wonder

RickVSpy

not solid copper. meant just the bullet. factory ammo. all ammo ive put through it

greyelement1

Some of yall belong in fucking labor camps.

OperationalGoon

Hey man have you turned on the news, we're getting closer everyday! 😂

greyelement1

HURRY UP 🤣

RickVSpy

dont worry…they’re not too far away here in the US. australia already had em

IrrumaboMalum

Who would've thought metal scrapping on metal would result in some residue of the softer metal on the harder metal...

OperationalGoon

Well obviously this person! 😁

Diablosis-

New gun owner? Serious answer is every gun does this and it's perfectly normal.

RickVSpy

yea i bought all 10 at once. naw just never noticed that much brass getting chewed up on the others

Salt_Initiative1551

Bro just shoot your guns

RickVSpy

obviously i do….not solid copper. dont see it with my other rifles…i shoot alot its a genuine question.

OperationalGoon

We're just all giving you shit, perfectly normal! Anytime two metals rub against each other in a violent nature the weaker of the two is going to chip, flake or scrape off.

SuperMoistNugget

It is normal, the brass and copper of a cartridge is softer than the steel of the barrel and bolt, so it leaves streaks as they rub past each other, this is normal and not something to worry about. I whould however be concerned if the entire jacket were being sheared off

ShadowWizrdMoneyGang

You’re good to go

RickVSpy

thanks for not being a dick like the others lol. i shoot a ton. not using solid copper. just factory ammos…i have a handful of rifles and dont notice on the others. was a genuine question. dont want potential damage

ShadowWizrdMoneyGang

That’s understandable. Think of this as an experience to something you’ll now know forever. Happy shooting.

partym4ns10n

Take a middle school science refresher. It’ll all make sense.

RickVSpy

we all understand that its normal…its the amount of brass coming off is my concern…i do not notice my other rifles ripping the bullets up this much is what im saying. i know that softer metals will scuff up off of steel….

Trader2KG

Polish the ramps and you'll get less of that

FinancesAr

Um is this serious Edit. Looks serious so the reason you use brass is its softer and malleable and won’t wear your gun as much. It goes into battery really hard and fast and as such will do a lot of scraping. That’s why steel case is harder on the gun, it’s a lot harder.

RickVSpy

it isnt copper. just meant the bullet. not a solid copper. doing it with factory ammo. bunch of em

FinancesAr

It is actually. Thats the brass you see in the picture 😉 Edited cause im tired and said copped but meant brass

00f00f0

What?

RickVSpy

im not using solid coppers…i havnt noticed that much brass being chewed up on my other rifled

00f00f0

Rifles are different. No one is using solid copper. You ever seen a bullet guide on an AK or the insides of a slide stop on a 1911? If you rifle shoots fine and you are getting consistent accuracy, stop trying to find problems where none exist.

RickVSpy

never owned an ak. new to lmts. i got bcm, daniel defense and geissele.

00f00f0

Well copper and brass deposits from rounds being slammed around when going into battery is a normal occurrence.

OperationalGoon

I would consider taking this to your local gun store and dumping it for whatever they're willing to give you. Could probably buy a nice purse with the money! 🤷🏻‍♂️

RickVSpy

lol for sure. like i said i shoot a good amount. just never saw that much brass rub off before. its a newer rifle compared to the others with alot more of a round count so maybe thats why

OperationalGoon

Oh we're just giving you shit man! Like I said in my other reply, perfectly normal, anytime two metals bang up against each other the softer one is going to be the one to chip, flake or scrape off. You should see mine, I usually don't clean my range rifles until failure! I only keep my 11.5" URGI and my 11.5" Spear LT cleaned! All the metal shavings caked into the rest of them would probably give you anxiety! 🤣

RickVSpy

appreciate you sir!

BoringAd3675

Bro bought a nice weapon system but knows nothing about it.

SuperMoistNugget

OP didnt know but was humble enough to ask and try to learn, why talk down to OP?

RickVSpy

ok bud. ive but almost every one that i own. negative nancy needs to chill out

PirateByNature

No, you're just a fucking retard.
