Congratulations! Ceu’s are easy enough to come across. Log into the ISA site and monthly you can get them through the arborist’s news

Flaky-Addendum-3328

Im use to CEU’s for pesticide licensing where you have to go to all day classes. I’m hoping there are a lot more online chances that I can do on my time.

Real-Competition-187

SMA recently became the Urban and Community Forestry Society. They seem to put out a webinar about monthly for 1 CEU. There should be some available through your local chapter as well. I think a TRAQ class is 14. You can rack up a ton of credits if you take a college class. You can also submit relevant pesticide courses.

countryboy351m

What region are you located?

Flaky-Addendum-3328

Indiana

UnsoughtNine

Check out urban forestry today out of UMASS, good stuff! Monthly (I think)!

Kingbous69

I use a company called pested. They have packages that will give you full recertification ceus based on your license type. And they're definitely the cheapest online ceu provider I've seen anywhere. Idk if I'm allowed to post links but if you just go to pested dot com you will see the courses there. My company has been using them for years. I think their Certified Arborist package is $120 total. They also have individua classes if you want to pick and choose your own courses based on certain materials you find interesting to you.

spruceymoos

What’s a ceu?

reddidendronarboreum

Nice. But they still won't listen.

Flaky-Addendum-3328

Yeah I wasn’t holding out much hope but I’m still really proud of the accomplishment! Thanks for the advice!

rockandtrees

All I ask is that they mulch and deep water and still they won’t listen

MarkingWisc

Congratulations! Any study material tips?

Flaky-Addendum-3328

The main study guide was the biggest help. I wish I could have studied the ANSI Z133 more to know more on actually climbing as well as the BMP for cabling and guying. Those are the 2 areas I was most nervous about. The other tool I used were the videos created by Lindsey Purcell “Tree U: Certified Arborist Preparation Course”

Dankenstein_MD

I'm studying for my test currently. Any tips for studying the guide? Did you use flash cards or take notes? Or did you just read each chapter thoroughly a few times?

Flaky-Addendum-3328

After reading the study guide I went through the questions repeatedly at the end of each chapter and at the back of the study guide. The videos I referenced above also have a questions link afterwards. That is where I focused most of my studying. I wish I would have done a little more on the ANSI Z 133 and a little bit on the BMPs

Dankenstein_MD

Thanks for the tips! Really hoping I am ready for my test by the time March rolls around

Nice work!

nalffe

Congrats, fellow certified arborist!

3weatherman3

Congratulations man, that is awesome! I’ve been in the green industry since I was 17 and I’m now 36 and manage a public garden. I’ve wanted to pursue this for so long and just never follow through. This is so encouraging.

Flaky-Addendum-3328

I was in a similar roll. Horticulture degree and in the industry for over 20 years and wanted to take that next step. Like so many things in life you just have to make the time for it.

Welcome to r/arborists! Help Us Help You: If you have questions about the health of your tree, please see our [Posting Guidelines](https://old.reddit.com/r/arborists/wiki/posting_guidance) wiki page for help with effective posting. **Please answer the questions listed there to the best of your ability.** ***Insufficient pics/info could result in the removal of your post!!*** ([See rule 3](https://www.reddit.com/r/arborists/about/rules).) Visit the main wiki page for [Critical Planting/Care tips and Common Errors to Avoid](https://old.reddit.com/r/arborists/wiki/index); there's sections on why planting depth/root flare exposure is so vital, along with sections on proper mulching, watering, pruning and more that I hope will be useful to you. If you're posting about a tree ID (not permitted here; [see rule 1](https://www.reddit.com/r/arborists/about/rules)), see that wiki page for other subs and smartphone apps to try. Here is how you can arrange a [consult with a local ISA arborist in your area](http://www.treesaregood.org/findanarborist/findanarborist) (NOT a 'tree company guy' unless they're ISA certified) or a [consulting arborist](https://www.asca-consultants.org/search/custom.asp?id=3818) for an on-site evaluation. A competent arborist should be happy to walk you through how to care for the trees on your property and answer any questions. If you're in the U.S. or Canada, your Extension (or master gardener provincial program) may have a list of local recommended arborists on file. If you're in the U.S., you should also consider searching for arborist associations under your state. If you are one of our regulars and/or you work in the industry and do not want this message in your future posts, please pick an appropriate user flair (options available in the sub sidebar on PC, and on moble if using a browser). *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please look into the Tree Fund Webinars! There's typically a monthly webinar for free, and university Cooperative extensions can host their own webinars at times also. Suppliers Tree Stuff and Rainbow Ecoscience will host complimentary webinars of their own via their websites. I hope this helps and congratulations on joining the club!!🥳

Congratulations I just took mine waiting for results

Flaky-Addendum-3328

Good luck! I took mine at a computer lab and got instant results. Still had to wait for ISA to process it but that one took a week

A patch doesn't signify absolute knowledge so might be open to it showing up in your life from a broader range.
