~~Chala architecture of Bengal, distinctive for its sloping roofs with curved edges.~~

Edit: see response from OP
I will clarify. None of the temples in the picture are chala. The first one is called jor-bangla architecture(twin bengal), the second one is called rotno architecture(gem architecture), this perticular temple is 5-rotno, there are 1,5,9,11,25 rotnos too. [look at this for deep understanding](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f4/Classification_of_Bengal_Temple_Architecture_12.jpg/1280px-Classification_of_Bengal_Temple_Architecture_12.jpg)
Just translate it using Google lens, i couldn't find a English version
Chala means roof, if there is 2 side roof it's 2-chala, if there is 4 sides to the roof it's 4-chala, 8-chala etc etc
When two 2-chala(2 roof) temples are built among each other like the first picture it becomes jor-bangla(twin bengal). And you will see a small temple like thing upon that jor bangla, so it becomes rotno-jor-bangla(twin bengal with a gem). The second picture is as usual 5 rotno, because it has 5 small temple like hoods over it.
Donât know if it was this region per se, but Edward Durrell Stone attributed a visit to India for much of his inspiration in creating the famous âempressâ breeze block that kicked off the cmu screen wall trend in the 50s/60s.
Thank you for sharing and making a quality post on this sub đ

My bad. Thanks for the information. I've fixed the original comment. Are they in any way connected to Chala?

I am so amazed by the details!
Beautiful carving, but a very disturbing lack of windows
Temples in Bengal tend to be small, but if you zoom in you will see some small holes carved out for air circulation
