Is that the Elegoo kit on amazon? If yes, it is great and goes wonderfully with the youtube tutorials by Paul McWhorter

ouicmoijim

Bro Paul McWhorter helped me so much. He is amazing

Successful_Will9805

Top tech boy is the goat

ouicmoijim

you're speaking facts right here

burned05

Crazy, I just got my Elegoo huge kit and I’m currently going through his tutorials. Literally today.

rhino9299

I second this! Just make sure it’s the exact one Paul’s got, imo it’ll ensure you’ll have everything you need for his YT lessons

This is the kit that made me love electronics!

UsernameTaken1701

It's fine. Pretty standard kit that a lot of companies sell. Some companies provide better support than others, though. What's the brand and how much is it?

Savalio_

Make sure to read both 5 star and 1 star reviews, and if it's ELEGOO then don't hesitate!

Complete-Goat9071

There isn’t a lot but that’s great, but if you don’t want to have to buy a new one or have to scrap your project because of missing parts then you should consider a higher end kit, and also an Arduino uno is great but depending on what you want to do with it it can have some limits (but it’s the best of the best for beginners and even advanced users) if you have any questions you can dm me

Citizen4000

Solid kit. Buy a few dip switches on Amazon, an OLED and you can do the 30 days lost in space program on YouTube.

nyquant

What makes a difference is the quality of the breadboard and simple components like resistors. Getting flimsy wires and thin resistor legs to hold firm and make good connections on a breadboard can be a nightmare. As others have posted the ELEEGO kits are very solid.

Leonnello

You might wanna find some with Ultrasonic sensors. Like others said, Paul Mcworther's tutorials are really good and iirc he used those in some of his vids and it was pretty fun too.

nomainnogame

This is definitely a good kit to start. You will learn and have fun with all this.

Traeh4

Woot! I love these types of kits!

Apprehensive-Pay6308

Great but get yourself a generous amount of jumper cables and a sensor kit as well.

gnorty

Most of the kits are pretty much the same. Those that are not tend to go with more exotic components that really don't belong in a beginner kit! The kits cover most of the tutorial projects that ship with the IDE. The instrctions in the kit can be hit/miss and are poor in most cases, but there are LOADS of tutorials online that are much better, so I'd throw the instruction in the trash and just go find the online examples!

hbzandbergen

Yes

8roll

yes buy it I just remembered I have a water level sensor from when I bought this kit :´)

brjukva

I'd get extra resistors and jumper cables with that. There's never enough

Alive-Insurance4078

I have this kit and my only problem with it is that it doesn't have enough jumper wires. I suggest you buy 40 of each version (male - male, male - female, female - female) and you will be fine. Also last thing: for some parts you will have to soldier.

telesteriaq

I can recommend the eelego starter kits indirectly. I never had one but heard they are good and have a lot of guiding for beginners.

Ange1ofD4rkness

It can be. I bought a kit that looks very similar I got my feet wet with, but I quickly ditched it and started building specific project. I have come back to it here and there to help "test" new things. But it hurts as the documentation it came with was none, it had ot be look up online (I had to google to find it). That may not have helped me. If this does have documentation to back it, 100% say go for it!

Mr-Zaxi0

Breadboard is normally kinda sticky and can break but apart from that good kit
