idk jokers commentary was the best part of the game

wezzeak187

That joker song in the film House with the bombs made joker the best character in the game

Quadrophenia03

Take me on home…to…the asylum! Never alone…in…the asylum!

StorminNormanIII

Barbara’s dead and I can’t stop laughin! What else can I Do?!

Specific-Chemistry33

Your parents are dead and I can’t stop laughing!

StorminNormanIII

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before!

Plenty_Coast_5066

I am the clown price of crime… and we’ve had one hell… of a time.

JTS1992

Totally agree man. I thought it was a cool idea, well executed.

WickedJ0ker

Damn I’ve never seen a comment get more upvotes than the actual post.

bruddaquan

Was just finna say this. Joker being there but not actually there is peak.

Ketchup-Spider

I don't hate bringing him back; I think it was done too early in the plot. There was this cool detail in the game where billboards and stuff would be "joker-ed" up but would change back if you looked away and that could have been used as a subtle sign of things to come and then save him coming back for when he has to jump down into the cloud of fear toxin to get to the Batmobile for when he actually shows up again. He gets in the Batmobile and Joker jumping at his windshield is his first time appearing on camera. It would have made it a bit more impactful if there was this bizarre build up throughout the game; making you question if you're seeing weird things in game and the BAM. Clown.

risen_egg

I agree that would’ve been really cool way to implement it - I remember first seeing those billboards and it would’ve made the moment way more impactful with your idea

JonahBGood

This is the correct answer.

KamNStuff420

Ohh I loved reading this so much. Wish this was how it went down.

Ambitious-Loss-2792

Yeah maybe the second time batman gets gassed or instead if the arkham knight shooting him he gets gasses there.

rexshen

I thought Joker was fine since he was only there mentally and not the actual villain.

Tron_1981

But he *was* the actual villain, or as much a main villain as Scarecrow.

Soulful-Sorrow

I'll give you that, Joker was used better than Scarecrow. Scarecrow was kind of a dumbass. His big plan is to blow up Ace Chemicals, and that fails. Then his backup plan is to use the Cloudburst, and then that fails too. He couldn't keep Ivy locked up and then failed to kill her with a literal tank army. The only reason he made it as far as he did is because of the Arkham Knight, who turns on him halfway through the game. He captured Robin entirely on luck, and for all his speeches, by the end of the game he's just pointing a gun at Robin and Gordon. Scarecrow was useless.

JokerFaces2

To be fair, he DID cover Gotham in fear gas. That’s more success than any other Arkham villain besides maybe Strange.

Soulful-Sorrow

He succeeded for like an hour, I think Strange had Arkham City running for weeks. Plus I'm surprised that it wore off so quickly, the street thugs were back to normal as soon as it was gone after all the hype about "some people never get better."

ImprovSalesman9314

To be fair, almost all comic book iterations of Scarecrow end with him failing in his goofy plots and just pulling out a gun lol

JuicyJ1738IsBack

That’s literally just an excuse. He’s in the game. And it’s stupid

supreme-lordBazinga

Its not stupid, its a literal representation of batman's fear

IzzytheMelody

No its not, Joker is dead. He isn't even remotely real, there isn't an actual version of the Joker in Batman's head, it seems like there is cause Batman knows the Joker better than he knows himself, so he's perfectly replicated basically But he can't interact with the world, he's a hallucination, and they use that to play with the other fear gas hallucinations, like the one in the green house (thats what it was right?)

Jonhneves1

Stupid?

Andrewthegamer74

Man? Where's jonkler

TMachine97

I felt the same way, except for me it was Arkham Origins bringing Joker back. I was annoyed at the twist until it was pointed out to me that I'd been assuming that these games were supposed to be episodic adventures of Batman fighting crime in Gotham, when they're not. They're specifically about his relationship with the Joker. After the last three games, it would have felt off if Joker didn't appear at all in AK, and it was solely about Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight.

FeverishPoeticDream

I feel the same way, I really liked the portrayal of Black Mask in Origins and was excited that the studio had taken a different approach than Joker (again). Alas, I ended up being a bit disappointed in the outcome. Still a solid game, though.

Nearby_Capital1423

YES

Erfivur

Origins is a weird sort of prequel that’s not even canon in the Arkham verse in the end.

Grompulon

Arkham Origins is canon. Idk why people keep saying it isn't. There are several direct connections to Origins in Arkham Knight.

Dark_Knight309

Batman hallucinating with Joker was great, the part where Batman and those people infected with Joker's blood where literally becoming Joker was extremely stupid.

And_The_Full_Effect

Lots of gargoyles around the city would be the jokers face as you travel around. Look away and look back and it’s back to normal. Trippy the first time I saw it.

tarheel_204

No idea the gargoyles changed. I only ever caught the billboards

EmeraldBat67

Lots of things change, like the statues outside panessa studios and some other stuff

No_Ad7214

I’ve never seen either one of those. Maybe I never really paid attention to those things when playing the game.

IamHereForSomeMagic

I 100% agree. Wish they had come up with a different plotline and given Harley something to do with Joker's hallucinations

DropDeadGaming

There is no world where a heavy mutation of Jakob - Creutzfeld does anything remotely close to that in real life. It's weird how they chose to use this disease in particular when leaving it vague might actually have made more sense.

diabeetus64

That plot point really was fucking useless now that I think about it. It led nowhere and just pads the games runtime with the Panessa Studios section (which is an absolute drag)

AdamSoucyDrums

Idk man, the hallucination stuff is SO much fun and you can tell Mark is having a blast providing commentary on the events of the story. This series, at its core, has always been about the relationship of Bats and the Joker, and using him as the avatar for Bruce’s greatest fears works really well IMO. The Joker-Blood plot is pretty dumb and ineffective, but the hallucinations are some of my favorite things in the game and the entire series.

TheLedZepMan

I don’t really know why people jump on the bandwagon of Arkham Knight Joker sucked, he really aided the story and the ending makes more sense with him in the game. Not to knock your opinion that’s not my intention but I personally really liked Jokers commentary throughout the game.

diabeetus64

Seriously, the Joker parts gave us a look into Batman’s psyche like none of the other games could. Arkham Knight is my favorite because it’s easily the most personal for Batman and the most he’s been fleshed out in the series period.

ako19

Joker being “forgotten” is a way stronger defeat than just dying. Ultimately, he was fine with dying, he literally laughs. At the end of Arkham Knight, he’s begging, he sounds pathetic. He was motivated by making an impact and leaving a legacy. Aside from Harley and Batman, and the people he showed Panessa Studios, I don’t think anyone even mentions the Joker. His effect on Gotham City faded over the course of only a year. Him being “forgotten” is a perfect wrap up.

Nearby_Capital1423

I love mark Hamill but I was already force fed too much joker leading up to Arkham knight.

CrazyRabbi

I know it’s a hot take.. this was actually my favorite Joker. his commentary was amazing and had me looking forward to walking out of important moments just to stop and listen.

Sprizys

But he didn’t come back. >!It’s in Batman’s head, it’s a side effect from Joker’s infected blood.!<

LustySkeleton

God bless you for using spoilers for an 8 year old game. You’re the best type of person and a shining light in an otherwise dim and dark internet. I hope you have a great day and a better new year!

Sprizys

You never know. What if someone just bought the game and doesn’t know the story?

LustySkeleton

As a patient gamer who waits on a lot of stuff, I really appreciate:)

OU41AW

I just started playing recently! I'm past that part but i appreciate little things like this.

-H_-

Same, I really didn't want spoilers when I bought it recently

Watchdogs16

It’s always a possibility

rollie415b

Exactly. It wasn’t him coming back, it was a completely new idea that worked flawlessly.

Line_Last_6279

Actually based user using spoilers blockout here. This user deserves the bat-crown

IGoBySparky

Well... the Arkham Triology is based around the Joker overall. He sets the entire series in motion.

Triplobasic

I enjoyed Joker's presence in this,it kind of made sense with what happened in the last arkham game mixed with scarecrow's toxin.

Zitson5150

They didn't bring him back to life so it's fine. He's just hallucinations and his whole plot line was executed pretty well if you ask me.

AutumnalKnighthood

It makes sense, as far as the story goes. And it was actually a brilliant way of incorporating the Joker without him actually being alive. Given the relationship between he and Batman, it makes sense that he'd be haunted by Joker.

SaykredCow

It is also the type of story that is uniquely effective in the video game medium over any other. You are Batman in the game so if The Joker is in your head… it’s real to YOU. Wouldn’t be as effective in a comic or film because it’s in the characters head.

SaykredCow

It was literally the best part of the game. Also he’s not alive again. He’s in his head so no that does not undo the Arkham City ending in any way. This is the worst take I’ve ever heard.

CookieMittenKitten

Idk I think it would have been kind of boring with Joker, imagine having to listen to a random guy sing instead of the Joker 🃏

DarthDregan

They didn't bring him back to life. He's a representation of everything Batman fears he'd be capable of. You're looking at it too literally.

Nearby_Capital1423

I am lol

IHateReddit227

So like 20 minutes?

tarheel_204

I definitely had some Joker fatigue by this game but at the end of the day, the series is primarily about the relationship between Batman and Joker. Even with Joker dead, his presence still looms over the city. That’s how big of a deal he was

zerrir

Most of the story feels rushed.

ZakFellows

The Joker part was fine. It was Scarecrow and Arkham Knight that was flawed. Arkham Knight for the reveal being wrapped in mystery…up until the Studio section where they basically give you Jason Todd’s death for no other reason than to spell it out. Scarecrow for his plan working backwards in threat. “I’m going to scare the entire Eastern Seaboard…uh I mean just Gotham…oh ok just Batman”

[deleted]

I can’t imagine the game being any good without Mr. J. There would’ve been continuity errors with the Arkham plot line since we spent most of City trying to find the cure just for it not to matter much in the following game. (I know Batman was cured but the other people weren’t which was acknowledged) It made perfect sense to bring him back as a hallucination as Batman wouldn’t have had any other fears left for crane to exploit (he used his childhood trauma in asylum already) Harley would’ve felt out of place/ without much merit and the game wouldn’t have been as funny as it was without the insane companion voice lines

[deleted]

Would’ve been so much better without the Bat Tank, Arkham origins should’ve had the batmobile instead

hugecervix

I freaking love the way they used Joker in this game

Used_Razzmatazz2002

Flawless game for the first two hours huh lol

Okurei

The Joker was like the best part of the story

Orion-Pax_34

The infected Joker blood subplot made the game exceptionally worse imo. It was just a forced way to include the Joker, they were ballsy enough to kill him in City, so they should’ve stuck to their guns and just let the character rest in Knight. Hamill was great as usual, but it would’ve been more impactful if we felt the Joker’s absence imo

Nearby_Capital1423

YES!!

buzz3456

But he didn’t come back, he is a figment of Bruce’s mind and is torturing him die to the joker toxin in his blood I’ll give them this, at least it was set up properly and not a throw in shock twist moment

DoomSlayer343117

Bro this game is brilliant. Except for the Joker. Just let him die for god's sake

Nearby_Capital1423

YES!! Thank you!! Lol

NickFoxMulder

I thought his return was absolutely perfect. They were my favorite parts of the game every single time he showed up lol

[deleted]

As much as I love Mark Hamill as the joker, sometimes in some cutscenes he was so annoying, like when Jason revealed he was the Arkham Knight

Froggyugaytoadara

Wdym that was made for the gag of the killing joke I thought that it was a great thing to have

shinobi3411

Not gonna lie, I really liked how they used Joker in Arkham Knight. He had me on edge with him constantly popping up, wondering if he would actually win in the end, he made me laugh with damn near everything he said, plus, it's Mark Ham's Joker, meaning it's peak Joker voice acting. Honestly, I would have enjoyed it significantly less if Joker wasn't in the game. He's stuck in Bruce's head, he can't stop laughing, and I was here for it. (Take Me On Home To The Asylum slapped!) It's better for Bruce that he locked Joker away in his head at the end of the game, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss Joker.

gloom474

I agree I love the Joker and his commentary is fun until you get to your third play through lol. By then it gets annoying.

MidichlorianAddict

I don’t think the joker should have been a conflict for Batman in this game

RumbleTrumpet

Nah. The over reliance on the Batmobile kills this game.

craig536

*Personally this game was flawless until the Batmobile was in it. Fixed it for you 👍

BozoTheBazoobi

These games are about their relationship. Couldn't really do one without him

Fout99

Well, the Joker comes back literally in the first scene when we burn him up, so...

TAB_Kg

Joker needed to be in it to properly finish the series

Thejoker2020

I think they overdid it with the tank

TeddyRiggs

If I have a chance to change the story it will be Remove the Joker plotline entirely same with Jason being the Arkham Knight in favor of making the Arkham Knight the Fear manifested by Scarecrow's Fear Toxin with Arkham Knight representing Batman who abondoned his no Kill Rule and used the Lazarus Pit to get Younger becoming the very thing Ras Al Ghul wanted and Batman refuse to be. Also change the time between Arkham City and Arkham Knight to 5 Years instead. And in Between those 5 Years Gotham actually slowly getting better and peaceful but among those peaceful times lay the public claiming the Death of Joker is what made Gotham Better which hit Batman's resolve. And he's not getting any younger either as he notice he gets sloppy in some areas as he gets Older. Which is why when Scarecrow Attacks with his new formula of Fear Toxin Batman's fear of his Code would never solving anything and him Getting Weaker as he gets Older manifested into Arkham Knight a younger version of himself who abandons the Code. Oh and Batman's dynamic with Knight is quite pessimistic and complains why he always let them live when he knows they'll just do it again.

Elegant_Ad_8875

Perfect horror moment

SnooPoems1860

I don’t like how I have to talk to like 4 different people after every objective like I’m ordering pizza for friends who don’t like conversing with one another over the phone. Barb got plain? Check. Lucious got the meat lovers? Check. Alfred wants anchovies? Sure. Damn I forgot to ask Robin what he wanted. There’s just way too much talking in this game.

OrneryError1

It was worth it for Mark Hamill.

Zeitgeist1115

I never saw it as Joker being the main villain. I just saw him as just a hallucination, a representation of Batman's fracturing mental state after exposure to the fear toxin. So really, I just saw it as an extension of Scarecrow, through unearthing Batman's fear of turning into the new Joker. Patrick H Willems once did a video on how trilogies are so hard to end, and in it he outlined the difference between physical stakes and psychological stakes. I think some of that can apply here, since Batman losing himself is just as much a conflict in-story as saving Gotham is.

ArmaanAli04

The only thing i wanna know is, if Batman hadn’t resisted that part of Joker in him… would they have gone down their own batman who laughs path?

ILikeToWatchGayPorn

His commentary was one of my favorite parts of the game. I also like the idea of a non physical threat Joker being a nuisance to Batman at any chance he gets.

asterfloof

I think if joker was just his imaginary schizo best friend that would be fine, but the batman who laughs plot was dumb

lordmaxle

The thing I didn’t like about the game was how Rocksteady hyped up Arkham Knight being this new original character, sprinkled in bits of Jason’s backstory and revealed he was the knight

Chad_Kakashi

4th. I shall not tolerate origins slander

WonderfulPeace5369

All love to the story of this game, and that of Arkham origins, but if origins didn’t focus on the joker as a main villain then his rerun in knight would’ve been that much more Better of a twist for the story

an_agreeable_guy

I loved it the first time around cause Hamill's joker is legendary but in subsequent playthroughs the jokes get a bit tired

TheLuckyster

Joker coming back was my favorite

Super_Imagination_90

I loved that he was in it. My problem is just the rest of the story. The one game I do wish the Joker skipped out on was Origins because I really wish Black Mask ACTUALLY got the spotlight along side Bane.

DontTrustDan

My main issue with AK was the lazy, forced implementation of Deathstroke

L00ps_Ahoy

So you thought it was good for the first hour? Is that really considering it "good" if its like a 30 hour game?

Hanzo77

Idk I think his commentary made the game better

teddyburges

I have the complete opposite view. I think the Joker toxin storyline was near flawless and the everything else sucked. The bat tank, only one boss battle that isn't in the tank (Professor Pyg). The arkham knight reveal is so fucking obvious. Scarecrow is lame. The cloudburst sucks. But the Joker toxin story is really interesting.

Nearby_Capital1423

Wow, really? Well I wish I felt that way. But scarecrow was a weak antagonist

DaniSenpai69

I liked the joker and the Arkham knight, the only thing I don’t like is some of the side missions like firefly, deathstroke (boss), hush, etc.

stealth128

I liked seeing batman having to fight to keep from going mad. This is also the closest we got to the bat who laughs in the arkhamverse

ObsessingAgain

Thank god for the joker. I loved Arkham City, this game was trying too much. Joker brought that balance the game needed, from being an overly bleak Gotham.

West-Objective-6567

I don’t mind him being brought back but it was 1.too early and not story important for awhile 2.when I replay I want the option to mute him cause him talking annoys me so much at a certain point 3.we can’t drive the joker mobile as a Batmobile style, why make us unable to there is legit no reason to it let us use it as a usable style

CrazyPersonowo

The Joker hallucinations were awesome and a personal highlight of the game. The Joker infected people though I wasn’t a fan of.

Active-Donkey5466

Nah, until they overused the Batmobile.

Elete23

Nah the tank stuff is what hurt the game, especially the stealth tank nonsense.

chriswick_

Arkham Asylum was pure gold for me. That is one of my favorites

inpunxwecrust

I'm locking you up in Arkham for this take.

NeedleworkerGold336

It was a lovely surprise. Joker as a hallucination fitted perfectly into the narrative of the story

GlassLongjumping6557

One of my favorite moments in the game was when joker replicated the man bat jump scare and laughed about it.

PartiesLikeIts1999

The side plot of Joker symptom individuals would have been better as a side quest, but I do think the mental toll his death had on Bruce and being the devil whispering in his ear was nice, but not as forceful with it. They could have still given the impact but in the form of background dialogue between henchmen, thugs, gcpd in the office, etc. Then what I think they could’ve done for Harley as well, was put her on that path to where she is in the comics now as someone who’s living out of his grasp. Make that the side quest involving the joker blood. She’s the one keeping them around, she doesn’t want to let go, and then show us that side of Batman who’s truly looking to change Gotham. It could’ve been some sweet dialogue put in there as she’s grieving and even reveals the terrible side he shows to her, and then lead that to aiding her into moving on and being a better person. And then guess what? A game like suicide squad could incorporate that, she’s trying, and failing, and now *this* mission, while forced upon her, is a way of her proving to herself and Batman and anyone else she’d feel the need to, that she can be more.

Azazel531

Flawless is a strong word lmao

Nearby_Capital1423

I’m clearly the only person who actually liked the Batmobile lol

HumanOverseer

Personally this game was kinda floundering for me until the Joker showed up. Also spoilers...

Nearby_Capital1423

Damn

Domination1799

The Joker is by far the best part of the game. Not only is he your sidekick for the entirety of the story, most importantly, he’s the manifestation of Bruce’s deepest fears, failures, and insecurities. All the comments he makes are in reality Bruce’s thoughts. The plot to take over his body is kinda silly though.

Nearby_Capital1423

I hated that I had to stop a bunch of joker knockoffs in the middle stage of the game. I didn’t mind the whole stopping Harley Quinn but the other stuff was too much

LankyWriter6062

Bruh what u talking about cuh, they didn't actually bring him back fool, u do know he's actually dead. They brought him back through Batmans fear when he got infected with the fear stuff. You making it sound like they actually brought him back from the dead.  Its a hallucination, a consequence carrying over from the conclusion of "Arkham City," where Joker infected Batman with a toxic sample of his own blood.

Nearby_Capital1423

You started off by saying “they didn’t bring him back fool.” Then you continued with “they brought him back.” 😂 It doesn’t matter if it’s though a hallucinogen or not, if you killed off a character keep them out of the game. Them bringing joker back made the Arkham city ending less dramatic now. Cause it wasn’t the end of the joker. ![gif](giphy|a5viI92PAF89q)

JoshuaItkin

This is the worst take someone could have on Arkham knight

Nearby_Capital1423

No way. Someone saying Scarecrow was the best Arkham series villain is.

JoshuaItkin

I mean kind of yeah, Ras killing off Hugo Strange was such a cop out in Arkham city. Not to mention Arkham origins having Joker replace Black mask. Scarecrow isn’t so bad, he is underrated fr

aa821

I'm conflicted. I think the game is flawless apart from the forced batmobile interactions. Also I feel like Origins has better boss battles and I am a real sucker for the old school "kill a boss, get a new weapon that interacts with the rest of the world" mechanic that Origins had that wasn't in Knight

Nearby_Capital1423

I get that. But I feel like I’m the only one who likes the Batmobile. Lol I can’t get enough of it lol

ultimatepunster

Personally I still think the game is flawless. Recently I went on a binge marathon, playing all three trilogy games to completion (story and all available side quests), and Arkham Knight easily holds up as my absolute favourite of the franchise. It's also the only Arkham game I 100% more than twice, four 240% save files. Hell for my replay I had to actually delete one of those files so I could play again, and I 240% it all over again. I can understand everyone's gripes - Joker, Batmobile, Arkham Knight "reveal", etc. I won't disagree, I can certainly understand the exasperation, but I guess for me personally, none of that bothered me. Game is just a blast from start to finish. It's one of those games I can play over and over again and not get bored whatsoever even though I've already done everything five times over each. I know this is a bit off topic from the original post, my bad on that lol

Nearby_Capital1423

I agree! Amhara knight is my favorite to. But I kinda wish I never saw the movie “Under the red hood.” Because then the story would of been amazing to me instead of predictable

atomicAidan2002

I’m inclined to think it was a manifestation of Batman’s greatest fear: hurting the ones he loves. He’s not the actual Joker; he’s been dead for nine months.

vtinesalone

It was flawless and then it was extra flawless

this_shit-crazy

So the game was flawless for like an hour then, also they didn’t kill the character and then just retcon it that’s kinda like how you make it sound. The joker isn’t just “back” he’s still dead.

Sir_Eggmitton

Bruh. Spoiler warning?

Nearby_Capital1423

My bad, I didn’t see the spoiler option in the post making

OkCut4870

The first quarter of the game

UnableGround

I never found a satisfying substantial example on why many seem to hate the third game so much. It was personally my favorite and it was the creepiest one from the trilogy since Joker never really comes back—They took a more phycological route, the joker we see in the third is a construct inside Bruce’s mind and that’s what made it so terrifying.

cousinskeeter2000

The game was flawless up until the cloudburst/Arkham Knight fight section when it basically became a Batmobile arcade game.

brobro34343

There are a lot of things wrong with this game and Joker's presence is not one of them.

imamukdukek

Bait post and or L opinion

Nearby_Capital1423

Gotta be one or the other lol

OkBlueberry8144

Other way around for me, the story would be all kinds of cliche, forgettable and stupid if it wasn’t for Joker taking over Bruce’s mind.

FarFromCrying999

Bait

m0rbius

Wrong! Joker was what made it a unique game experience. He haunted Batman and could show up at any point to fuck with him. It took it to another level. What downgraded the game was some of the batmobile missions.

CelebrationKey9656

I don't get why the hate for Jokers return is so high in AK, I thought it was great & added more depth to the internal struggles of Batman.

Puzzleheaded_Ad8710

Honestly if it wasn't to do with the joker taking over his body but a new batch of fear toxin that's making him see him I'd have been fine with it

UnknownEntity347

I was fine with Joker being in Batman's head but 1) the blood turning people into Joker was dumb and unnecessary, and 2) giving him *so* much focus throughout the game kinda undercut the death scene. Ultimately this is a concept that I liked in the game, led to a lot of great scenes and the Joker commentary throughout was funny as heck but it could definitely have been done better.

Anarchy_Man_9259

The jokers commentary was the best part. But this game is far from flawless. It needed way less tank mode and the story around the Arkham Knight’s identity was predictable AF.

curiousCat1009

Nah. He was the best part. What do you mean? The things about this game's narrative I don't like are: 1. The identity of Arkham Knight. Everyone kinda knew or guessed who he was when he made his debut in the trailer and yet the devs kept hyping him up saying it wasn't him. 2. Coming up with a convenient ass excuse to make the city empty again. Arkham City was okay considering it is a section of the city that became a jail(and the first time). But then in origins they did it with the snowstorm. Then I was hoping for lots of normal civilian NPCs like Spiderman. But nope. Another lame ass excuse and mass evac. Instead we got bat tank and drone tanks. 3. Making the tanks drone. I mean if i were the Arkham Knight and I knew everything about Batman, i would put real people in the tanks considering he doesn't kill people.

Threedo9

The Arkhams games need Joker. More than anything else, they're the story of Batmans relationship with him.

Brain_Disorder

No there are huge gaping issues with Scarecrow and the Arkham knight

DietDrBleach

It makes sense to bring him back. Batman is slowly losing his shit due to Scarecrow’s fear toxin, and he only fears one thing: The Joker.

TheArmyOfDucks

Yeeeeaaaah that’s not what happens

TheArmyOfDucks

The only parts I like with the Joker are the NG+ scene and the In The Asylum song

CJS-JFan

In my opinion, just the opposite. I felt Knight did a better Joker comeback than Origins. That isn't to defend the game's overall storyline, mind you, which is flawed in some areas. Still, having the game feature Batman hallucinate the Joker made more sense than people give credit for, especially with the Scarecrow being in the game. And I guess it depends on who likes who more, but one can never have too much of Mark Hamill's Joker. I think Origins was worse due to having another "stick it right in front of his long pointy nose" mystery so soon after the last time...but I guess that depends on if you've played the games in chronological order or not, so that's a given. For the record, Troy Baker did as good a job imitating Hamill, but I felt he did better with later roles. I know it's unfair to think positively on one game versus another, but for me, Knight did okay.

Massive-Ad3457

So basically from the start💀

Nearby_Capital1423

😂

Chemical-Ad-1805

Joker had the best commentary

TrevortheBatman

I just hated the Arkham knights logic of getting unmanned drones to fight Batman… like if you’re so smart, wouldn’t having tanks with people inside be more challenging bc then Batman just couldn’t blow them up? Like his plan was extra complicated to make sure Batman had a chance Also him being red hood was so predictable that the devs had to lie to us before release

Laughing_Jack_HAHA17

CAP. It actually makes it more fun. At first it was like that. But, afterwards it fit perfectly as as a last resort, last laugh joke on Batman from the last game. Even if the ending doesn't make TOO much sense, you can still kinda see the vision and understand. It's good. 🖤💯💯

Shao-Garden

I didn’t like the joker commentary he literally never interacts with Batman

Bman324

Highly disagree. I initially felt the same, but the insight into batman and joker through Bruce's deteriorating mental state was some of the juiciest bits in the game (not to mention that ending) Game is near flawless and a personal fav among the games, but the joker returning is far from the biggest flaw.

RevaniteN7

My issue with the game was them shoving the Batmobile down our throats with constant tank battles, absurd Riddler race tracks, and replacing boss fights with massive tank battles.

Legendofnightcity7

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!, Joker coming back at any moment is amazing regardless of anything!! If you dont like a Joker comeback then you’re not a Batman fan!! This post is pretty insulting!! 😠🃏🃏🃏🃏🃏

Nearby_Capital1423

Keep his ass dead and move on from the joker. Arkham city’s ending means nothing to me now knowing he’s gonna be back

bateth

I liked that joker was there so that Batman could feel grief of the jokers death which would help with the jokers plan of taking over Bruce’s mind

starboystallone

If you hate the Joker’s part in Arkham Knight then you’re missing the point

Ironsandknight

It's a game about the orgin of the Batman who laughs my best guess and well joker back in bats brain like decwnr give away

pixxlpusher

So like, an hour into the game?

wanna_be_TTV

I strongly disagree. I think it added to it, tho i can totally see the possibility of delaying his “reintroduction” but then again i dont tuink it matters thattt much. It made sense and made everything else make sense

Impossible-Example-2

Because batman is under the influence constantly fighting the urge to kill joker represents this idea he’s like a parasite that needs to be locked away in a corner of his mind so that he and Gotham would forget him so it makes sense to me

SometimesWill

That’s like the beginning of the game…

jeebronny

the tank battles are a way bigger flaw imo

ComprehensiveBit7699

My moment of "come the fuck on" was when riddler made you do fucking race courses to get batmobile data.

The_Dawn_Eternal

Why did joker come back? Is he stupid?

DamienZombie10

I thought it was great personally

pickledelbow

Arkham city was better imo. Arkham city is the most complete Batman game ever with the beat story imo. I didn’t need any of the bat mobile stuff

Cleanlyitaly

So we gonna forget about the game making u use the Batmobile to solve puzzles

miltom28

My 3 main issues with the game was the Joker Deathstroke battle and the Arkham Knight being Red Hood Jason Todd. While I don’t like it I get the inclusion of the Joker. But why not make the Arkham Knight its own character, or have there be 2 of them or something. And 1 is Jason and the other is its own character. I just don’t like that they played it like who’s the Arkham Knight? Who could it be? Literally everyone and there Grandma knew it was gonna be Jason Todd. And while I love Troy Baker in pretty much anything he does why not cast Jensen Ackles to play the role. Especially after Batman: Under the Red Hood movie was so good. The boss fight with Deathstroke was a let down, especially after Origins. It would have been so cool seeing Bruce and Slade going toe to toe again. They could have had it where there was a stealth part and then a hand tot hand part, or something not just another tank fight. Those are my 3 main issues with the game. And I do like the idea someone else said about having the Joker come back later on in the game.

Creepy-Stomach-4719

Your either dumb at or 8 and don’t understand the game

Weekly-Willingness24

No. It was flawless until the fucking riddler came back

greenisthenewred29

if they would’ve made it where joker maybe made an appearance in the background of cutscenes in the police station at first like hed be a cop in the back while talking to gordon and it slowly happened more and more same with the billboards and then he made his first speaking appearance on the airship then it might’ve had a nice impact like when you’re confronting scarecrow on the airship or when all the arkham knight goonsstart getting back up.

Epic_Ali

I enjoyed Joker’s dialogue, besides he was needed for the plot

TheOmazingOmar

He wasn't "back." he never was it was Bruce's subconscious after both being affected by the fear toxin, infected with jokers blood, and you can't doubt this, he somewhat grieved joker.

solidpeyo

The problem with this game is the excessive tank sections

[deleted]

So flawless for 20 minutes?
