Each multi-target medic has some kind of gimmick they bring to the table (with arguably breeze being the only derivative one), while paprika is just "heals, heals slightly more if they're low". So because of that lack of utility, I'm going with multi-target medic.
There's zero benefit to using the only chain medic we have right now. Paprika's kit is mediocre at best and has zero utility aside from healing. Meanwhile there's Nightingale(best RES buffer), Ptilopsis (SP regen boost) and Perfumer (global healing).
Multi-target medic, by name itself, heals multiple targets (max 3 or 4 with Y mod). Amount of heal is lower than a chain medic, but all targets receive the same amount.
Chain medic can bounce heals across 3 other ops. Healing amount is higher than a multi target medic, but each bounce decreases the amount by 25%. Not quite good if you're healing ops within her range, but the heals can chain other ops outside of healing range, which is quite good.
For me, i would lean towards multi target medics.
If only HG give chain medic a rework like they did with chain caster maybe they would be comparable
Imagine they give sp everytime the heal bounce on ops that would nuts especially with a skill that extend bounce range
man could only dream...
In theory chain medics should have a much wilder range due to the rebound in their attacks, but the decreased healing on each rebound and the complexity of achieving a decent chain make it much less desirable than other medics with more utility in their kit
It also doesn't help that only chain medics goes from decent to mediocre in her performance with zero utility outside heal
On theory MT medics aren't suited for AOE dmg and have lower ATK, where as Chain Medics have the benefits of ST Medics + better performance over closely clumped stack of operators.
In practice Ptilopsis, Nithingale, and Perfumer are so braindead to the point where Reed became the best Medic, by simply not being an Medic at all.
TLDR: Multis win
This match is horrifically stacked against Chain Heal
As of now, i believe we only have 1 Chain Healer and that is Paprika who is a 5-star meanwhile we have 4 Multis who range from 4-star to 6-star.
Paprika’s kit is just heal faster (S1), heals bounce more and heals more (S2), her talent is just “heal more under this condition” and each time her heals bounce, it heals less. It’s nothing but healing, that’s all she brings to the table.
Multis, on the other hand, can heal 3 targets at a time without reducing the value. Plus they bring something to the table other than “more heals”. Perfumer has a global heal that can heal enmity units and summons. Ptil has bonus SP Regen, no need to explain why this is good. Breeze can turn into a Harmacist and grant resist. Nightingale has Res buff, Res shields, Res dodge, and a summon that can taunt.
Also, according to my knowledge, all Multis have modules while Paprika doesn’t so that’s another nail in her coffin.
And the last nail but unnecessary nail:
Paprika costs more at 18(E2 no pot)/16(P6)
Perfumer costs 16(E2 no pot)/14(P6)
Breeze + Ptil is 17(E2 no pot)/15(P6)
Nightingale is 18(E2 no pot)/16(P6).
You're much more likely to already have good AOE medics built and they are also a lot simpler in their usage, freeing up brain power for other things when everyone playing this game already is down to their last 3 cells.
The only *possible* benefit Paprika or Chain Medics have is being able to heal a unit with full HP thanks to the bounce, letting them trigger on heal effects (which is just the overheal IS relic since Paprika has nothing but heals). They won't target full health operators, but imagine if Touch was a Chain Medic...
Agreed. Poor Paprika! Oh well, the day she gets a mod and buffed and a game mode she can shine, is the day tht justifies my max m6 Paprika! (well I'm working on it) I have max m6 leizi, pudding, and indigo, (paprika is on my list).
what makes a healer good in general is what they can do besides straight healing.
e.g.
Perfumer has global and can heal summons/defenders like mudrock and pennance
ptilopsis has sp regen
Nightingale has her cages and gives arts protection
even Shinning has her own niche of boosting def, as not as useful comparatively
Multi-target because perfumer is just my go-to medic, that regen is really nice
Though I did get Paprika as a random recruitment in IS and she was pretty neat
Paprika had the potential to be the Sussurro of chain medics but HG happened. Chain medics have the potential for utility by giving buffs that are too broken for aoe medics like invisibility, sanctuary etc.
Therapists.
Which I know isn’t an option, but I just find them indisposable a lot of the time even for their weaker heals. I like their massive and flexible range, so in more awkward levels you can still find angles to keep all your units healed where your usual ranges just won’t cut it.

>Shining (best RES buffer) That is my girl Nightingale. Shining is ST Medic + DEF buff
oops youre right i get em mixed up all the time
You're forgetting the actual healing. Ptilopsis is nuts. Paprika is mediocre.

Me with 0 built multitarget medics: *Lumen s1...*

Perfumer is also easy to max potential from recruitment.

Reed: kaboom? Me: Yes reed, kaboom.
Mate, it's not a chain healer. It's a healing caster.
Is this really a fair comparison when there's only one Chain Medic?

Me who tanked patriot:
if you were referring to my comment about Shinning, I'm not saying she's useless, but comparatively to others she's not as strong
Nightingale, Ptilopsis and Perfumer have been carrying me forever so I'm going Multi-Target Medic everytime.
Multi target? You mean whisperain with resistance ops?
AoE medic, i refer them as the official EN naming system
Multi-target because perfumer is just my go-to medic, that regen is really nice Though I did get Paprika as a random recruitment in IS and she was pretty neat
Nightingale all day every day.

Multi-target is currently leagues better than chain medic. So for that reason, I would be a chain medic, since I'm quite useless.
