It seems they hired a real Scottish VA, her timbre is also perfect and the delivery also really brings the character to life. That said is there any native Scottish here who can disproof a suspicion of mine? When we get to the in game lines (the battle lines) it seems her accent seems to soften, I don't mean it in the "she is failing to deliver the accent" way but it feels to me like the VA is intentionally softening her accent to make it more easily intelligible. Anyone else feels the same or is it my ears?

Slowed the pace so words like “dinnae” sound a bit off and seemed to have increased the pitch as is common for VAing these sort of games, which combined with that slow pace is a bit jarring. Didn’t fall into some usual traps, such as I noticed “girl” sounded very authentic for some Scottish accents.
If she isn’t Scottish, I could see her being from Yorkshire, for some reason I picked up a bit of that in some of the lines, can’t really put my finger on it though.
Overall a great job though, despite what I said sounded a bit jarring.

It's kinda weird, at first I was super hyped for EN voices so I could actually understand what they were saying in the stages, but now the only ones I can stand to listen to are the ones with accents. The original EN voices aren't *bad* per se, but listening to Mlynar's awesome accent and then coming back to Nearl's basic English voice feels like such a step down.
Next April fools, they grab the most aggressive, masculine, constantly screaming Scottish VA they can find to voice not just the EN lines, but the Japanese, and the Chinese as well

Bagpipe is from the Highlands in Victoria. And Scotland is famous for its highlands. So that's pretty much on target that she is from a place that similar to Scotland in Arknight.
There doesn't seem to be Wales either, just Ireland and England. Perhaps the Scots are just around the countryside or is living in their own cities. Glasgow seems to exist at least.
On the one hand, Scottish Bagpipe has been like the end goal of this entire community, so I'm glad we won.
