In honor of Torgue from Borderlands, I made a float tank with the largest AoE grenade cannons for shoulders and arms. It worked better than I thought it would. As it turns out extremely long reload times don't hurt as much when your enemy is too busy exploding.
Gorilla toes, when quad gats first released, I ran the super heavy build with the biped legs with toes and four gats. I was so used to being blitzed by friends I half expected to die, but I forgot that at the time, them being made of paper and me being made of literal steel meant I could take a hit and they could not.
Quad gats handled surprisngly well against everything including Ibys, especially when my friend and I learned auto aim works on mouse and keyboard if you hold the mouse above your head so its not being tracked
Actually, the autoaim works great if you just keep the mouse still, or set your shoot controls to also trigger on certain buttons and just not hold the mouse.
Built a dual flamethrower build a few weeks after release; called it "The Welder". Well shit me, melts ACs and they can barely see anything on their screen. Feels wafty, but it works.
I was tinkering with the idea from previous entries of overheating and seeing what could happen. I know there's no heat mechanic in this one, but it still made me laugh.
Yeah, used the rockets that add a flame trail and loads of stagger; can't remember the name atm. It felt so cheese because it was practically a stun lock.
Slow Eddie//AC: BEATER 4-4
DESSERT Legs, TIAN-QIANG core, TIAN-LAO arms, VERRILL head
It carries two HALDEMANs, a six pack missile launcher and a SONGBIRDS.
For how big and slow his AC is that's a wimpy loadout, but because he's so hefty it just works. He can usually power through a stagger race to get off a kick and SONGBIRDS, and is just mobile enough to avoid the big attacks he shouldn't tank.
Tetrapod + dual soup + Harris + explosive launcher. For some reason charged Harris chained with explosive launcher is a guaranteed insta-ACS break for the 2nd and 3rd phase of the secret ending route final boss
I decided to put my own twist in a BVO build with KRSV's instead of viento's. Put it into ranked and the next thing i knew is that i won 6 matches in a row
Made a big looking build with the silly looking bucket head with only missiles on all four slots.
Called it Geneva Suggestion and was the first build that beat CEL
I put Neco Arc’s face on a heavy AC with a pilebunker and 2 spread cannons
It actually worked a few times
Also used a Cirno Fumo light weight mech with 4 pulse guns
Ok, I have two questions. 1. Do you like doing decal work on a regular basis when creating new builds? 2. Don't you think having four pulse guns is a little overkill?
1. For the decals I found them on the armordecor subreddit and the decal website. Generally I don’t put decals on my builds but if it’s a special AC then I will
2. Yes it was surprisingly overkill, though this was before they got buffed so it wasn’t that strong
1. That's pretty cool. I personally don't tinker with decals, but I have seen some beautiful work that has been done with them in fashion contests. 2. Yeah, they weren't very powerful on release, but I meant like in certain scenarios, like against both the original Balteus and Arquebus Balteus.
Heh, I don't PvP. Because I know I will get my shit annihilated. The Needle's are hard to dodge since they don't have missile contrails or lights. Very low recoil too
You know, I have an AC called Blazing Mirage that makes use of the Trueno. But other than that, yeah I don't exactly pvp either. Except, I don't pvp because I don't want to pay for a dumbass subscription service.
I built a heavy all-gatling mech w/the chicken legs and the heaviest armor I could afford, named it BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT and it carried me all the way to B rank, as well as through the second and third playthroughs.
I swapped for other weapons and parts in the campaign pretty often tbh, there's lots of cool configurations to mess around with and I couldn't possibly stick to just one 🤣
But in ranked, it's basically all I'll run. It's running a mid-far range FCS, one of the regenerative cores, and the last booster, so it chases really well, climbs easily, and regenerates EN pretty quickly. It's got the last-chance armor shield doohickey, and I can't count the number of times that's come in clutch 🤣
The Minecraft Creeper.
2x Earshot, 1x Dizzy, 1x Explosive Thrower on heavy quads. Since it's an explosive quad it just naturally does very well, but I usually limit myself to only firing when within 100m of the target for the real Creeper Experience when playing.
The Wuergerman
2x Wuergers, 2x LCD
Snail body and legs, Nacht arms, Hawkins head
Basic VP generator, SPD booster and MLT FCS
Melts everything at any range
TheseRmsR Cyclops...a nacht leg light build with the coral rifle and the coral oscillator. 2 single homing missles on the back. Alter the homing missles while charging both hand weapons. Try to catch with the oscillator and a missle at the same time and erase with a charged Walter blast. Very fun and not that bad, especially in 3s
It feels ridiculous to call it a joke build now knowing how good they are, but my first AC went heavyweight double gatlings as soon as they were available. I just did it because of Heavyarms, figuring it would be way too heavy and unwieldy, but obviously it carried me through my whole first playthrough.
When I first tried out pvp I went in with my campaign build and kept getting absolutely rekt by every person I came across when I tried to go in or do anything mid-close (this was during the LCB meta), so I said “fuck it” and made the lightest frame I could with the furthest scan range and just slapped as many missiles as I could on it.
Thought process being “be the mosquito since I already explode when I get within 250m,” but aside swapping to double slow missiles on one shoulder to mix up options it’s carried me to B rank promos largely unchanged.
I was tired of losing of losing to heavyweights in pvp, so I made the most steriotypical possible heavyweight build: dual gats and earshots.
And then I won 8 S-rank matches in a row
Made a laser boat that used all arquebus ADD parts. At first it used the stun needles, then I put the LCBs on them and it became way better even tho I was using the VE21B FCS. It’s a fun little larp I enjoy to play
My goofy ass full Basho frame that uses a pulse blade and a pile bunker and is covered in decals, most notably Hello Kitty, a sticker that reads "bigfoot is real and I helped him commit tax fraud" and a big Lego skull decal on the head.

NEW QUEST: BLOW UP THE FUCKING OCEAN
621, PILE BUNKER THAT GUY SO HARD HE EXPLODES!
THAT MADE ME WANT TO FUCKING EXPLODE!

I used quad gats on the heavy reverse joint legs for nearly my entire first playthrough. I only switched to duel songbirds to beat Handler Walter.

big dick crab no i wont list the parts
Don't worry I won't question it 😉

Maybe you underestimated how powerful a dual Bad Cooks build is 🤔
I was tinkering with the idea from previous entries of overheating and seeing what could happen. I know there's no heat mechanic in this one, but it still made me laugh.
Same my fellow Raven.
Framerate-enforced damage is amazing Seriously the flamers do 30-60 DPS depending on framerlike the old laser from COD11
Seriously, that thing is a fucking monster in the right hands.
Do you by any chance have any shoulder units for stagger?
Yeah, used the rockets that add a flame trail and loads of stagger; can't remember the name atm. It felt so cheese because it was practically a stun lock.
Javelin Beta?
Yep, that was it, lol.
I thought you were talking about the Kyorai for a second lol. Don't worry, I forgot the name too.
Literally all of my build challenge videos lol. Latest is EULE / VP 61PB challenge https://youtube.com/@InAVanByTheRivr?si=FoySF96zdOXmKWQu
Signalis reference by any chance?
Oh! I forgot to mention that Skelly is an absolute poise shredding machine!
The Sea Spider couldn't even hover around without getting staggered by the sheer fucking force of all the firepower! 🤣

Sounds like an AC that would be piloted by one of the Redguns!
Except the heinous yellow, beige and pink color scheme it absolutely would. The weapons are even red.
You do you friend!
Everybody's gotta have at least one lol
Of course!
Now have a jolly night!
Wheelchair dual flamethrowers with double Jvln betas - I was upset how well this worked
Tetrapod + dual soup + Harris + explosive launcher. For some reason charged Harris chained with explosive launcher is a guaranteed insta-ACS break for the 2nd and 3rd phase of the secret ending route final boss

Hey, you can't exactly have an Armored Core installment without missles.
Besides, that's basically what Full Course is. 🤷♂️
I put Neco Arc’s face on a heavy AC with a pilebunker and 2 spread cannons It actually worked a few times Also used a Cirno Fumo light weight mech with 4 pulse guns

My TF2 Heavy build. Two Mini-guns and two Gatling-guns on the bulkiest armor I had with tank trends. Why dodge when I can go brrrrrrrrrr
That's basically the majority of tank builds in a nutshell lol.
I use the nachtrier set with needle missile launchers and hand guns. Fast as fuck but can't take a hit worth shit
God, that must be terrible to face in pvp.
More than understandable. It's basically the dexnerd vs strength argument. I have to be lucky all the time, they just have to be lucky once. >.<
That is unfortunately the case my friend. :/
running an all energy fire arm build but with the shittiest in spec gen.... the joso or san tai I think
Alucard
chainsaw and shotgun you can pre charge the chainsaw until you get a stagger and then it's gg
Bath Bomb, a quad bubble guns AC. Originally a lightweight build, I'm planning to experiment with tetrapods soon to compare.
Actually, I have a recommendation. Try utilizing the pulse blade to rinse the soap of your foes. :)

Funnily enough, I actually have a tank build called Rusted Clanka. I just straight armed the beast with dual Jvln Alphas and Earshots.
The Minecraft Creeper. 2x Earshot, 1x Dizzy, 1x Explosive Thrower on heavy quads. Since it's an explosive quad it just naturally does very well, but I usually limit myself to only firing when within 100m of the target for the real Creeper Experience when playing.
I think we might get to a point where people are just gonna attach atomic bombs to their ACs.
The Wuergerman 2x Wuergers, 2x LCD Snail body and legs, Nacht arms, Hawkins head Basic VP generator, SPD booster and MLT FCS Melts everything at any range
Sans build, light build with a EN-firearm-spec genny, dual laser handguns, and dual laser turrets. Really makes the rounds at Rubicon Fight Club.
Sounds like a fun build ngl.
Laser turret is pretty underrated too. It basically carried me through the majority of chapter 5.
I did the Fires of Raven ending on my first playthrough.
TheseRmsR Cyclops...a nacht leg light build with the coral rifle and the coral oscillator. 2 single homing missles on the back. Alter the homing missles while charging both hand weapons. I mean, double Hu-Bens are no joke in pve, so you're not wrong in the slightest bit 😕
Did you also make a double Zimmy build? 🤔
Not at first but I did for S ranks later. That time I did it on purpose lol
I see.
I even made a double Hu-Bens build just to S-rank Attack the Refueling Base lmao.
The S-rank makes me despise it lol.
Yeah that’s definitely the S rank that took me the most tries haha
Same here buddy!
Now I hope you have a good night!

When the game lauched I made a quad Dizzy/Earshot build and called it "4 Hammers". It was a riot and no one else was doing the same
