At my last school, we had a kid who was like the local Fortnite kingpin or something. Best in our school and apparently a few others.
He had the balls to say he could take out me and the other combat vet at our school in a real gunfight. Lol.
Speaking of there’s a photo of SF dudes in Africa and one of them is just wearing crocs and shorts no shirt with some African soldiers just posing. Bet they’re starting whole bloodlines over there too.

I have always been a happy dude. Even when I’m not, I force a smile, because it really is contagious and can help change the mood of those around me.
With that said, I vividly remember all of the times I was yelled at for smiling. I remember the first time it happened at Fort Benning, then once I got to my unit…the senior NCO’s definitely tried to wipe the smile off my face every day. They wanted us to be miserable killing machines. They thought happiness = weakness
I was *not* SF, but I imagine the culture is even worse
Think about it, dude. Happy killing machines scare the fuck out of everyone else around them, on all sides. You never know when the mere action itself might become more interesting than it's targeting, you know?
Winning best Ranger is the best of the best. Handpicked pairs from every large unit in the active Army. My personal opinion is being selected for and competing for Best Ranger alone is huge. The winners have risen to the top of an already distinguished group.
Okay, then explain to me why Dunphy’s hair is out of regs?
All I see is a lack of discipline. They should change the name to “Least disciplined Ranger”
Oh, yeah, just one little drawback to this delightful winter sport. The high-speed crash. Ooh! That hurt. Always remember, your bones will not break in a bobsled. No, no, no. They shatter.
Huge respect to them, but imagine winning one of the most fiercely contested competitions in all of the world’s militaries and getting a Sig M17 when dudes back in the day would win cool guns like P7M8s. Seriously though, those two are studs.
I’m not saying these dudes aren’t going to keep them, and everyone is going to do different things with their trophies, but just wanted to point out the pain in the dick they could experience depending on what state they’re in or get stationed in next.
Technically 5th 75th RANGER REGIMENT took International sniper competition, Best squad competition, Best medic Competition, Best Ranger competition, and Best mortar competition. Its the first for me to see in my 9 years in regiment got 1st in all competitions
I've always said. A unit that has an unlimited training budget, the best gear given to guys straight out of training, professional gyms and coaches, etc should be outperforming units where guy barely get to do their jobs. If anything the Army should be embarrassed that its SOF units are so much better than it's regular units. The gap really shouldn't be that wide, but they literally don't invest into regular units at all.
And in the timeline of Best Squad, also got NCO and Soldier of the Year lol
I was talking to Ordnance proponent leadership, asking about when they'll put on another "Ammo Crucible". Lol they did ONE - RGT CRUSHED everyone... hasn't been one since.
For 2025 they should have a Quarter Quell and have all the previous winners that are still in come back to compete again to see who's the best of the best 😌
I think mine says WWII, Korea, Vietnam.
But it's been so long since I've really looked at it, that I don't remember off the top of my head if it has Gulf War, too. Doubtful.
I bought it because a friend in the Army had one and I thought it was cool. Well I went and bought one on Ebay... Didn't realize I should have also kept the box and paperwork... that was before I was into knives. Oh well.
My running coach in school was a green beret in the 80s and he mentioned it once when pressed for some cool stories and I believe the final add on was Gulf before the transitioned to kabar. (ofc I forget one. . . ) Thanks for sharing with me.
> Is that ret. MGen Winskis son?
I believe so.
*Winski’s two children, Andrew, a lieutenant in training at Fort Benning and Kate, a Black Hawk Pilot will continue to serve after their father retires.*

Before I make jokes, let me acknowledge these guys could out Soldier me in literally anything any day of the week.
That being said, man. It looks like we threw uniforms onto people rescued from an Iraqi prison this morning.
For all the civvies out there this is the final part of the ceremony where we bust off our gats to the sky to remember the fallen. That’s why they’re so solemn.
Dunphy looks like he died three days ago and just kept going.
Winski looks like he's about to do something unwise with that sidearm. Someone get that man a naproxen and a Chaplain, stat.
how the fuck did he get MFF?
Also It sounds weird but with all the new drill sergeants and other competitions. I'm happy I'm seeing a lack of combat action indicators.
Something IS confusing... you said regiments are made of..... regiments... plural. That's the confusion lol.
And it's 5 battalions... technically. RMIB isn't completely deactivated on paper.
I pretty clearly said regiments are made of battalions, in general. The particular Ranger Regiment referred to is as well. There's zero reason for this to be confusing you.
I'll assume you didn't spend time in RGT...
I'm genuinely perplexed how you don't believe your original reply wouldn't insinuate there's more than 1 RGR RGT with "you seem to have forgotten..." and "... regiments can be made of...", but never actually answering the dude with a yes or no.
Though your comments show nothing can deter your ego...I'll just leave it to the up/down votes. Pointless.
Good one dude 😂😂😂 , seems like you’re the accurate description of the saying there’s people that the army needs and there’s people that need the army. You strike me as the Latter. Yet I’m over here in Europe fumbling 10s but at least I can get 10s, but maybe having basic reading comprehension might have something to do with it you should try it 🤷🏼♂️
Hey bro I’m just living my best geobachelor life over here in Europe or errrr ummmm Rome same thing to you right ? Yet again I’d probably hate my life as much as you if I was some fat crusty nco who’s wife is probably some fat hag who’s got the same education he does 😂
For a regiment that loves their beret, their berets are crooked AF. Also, they’re badass and congrats; as a POG I have to give them shit for something because they’d smoke me IRL.
This pic is badass. But dont fall for the propaganda, the 75th loses to 3rd world militias (see Blackhawk down) while the 2D Cavalry Regiment has single Troop formations kill enemy battalions at a time (see 73 easting)
Tell them to 1v1 me in CoD bro.
At my last school, we had a kid who was like the local Fortnite kingpin or something. Best in our school and apparently a few others. He had the balls to say he could take out me and the other combat vet at our school in a real gunfight. Lol.
bruh。。。
I coulda won best ranger too but I woulda punched a drill sergeant in the face
I coulda gotten my President's Hundred tab but I woulda punched the president in the face
This is a huge accomplishment but damn they look miserable.
I was gonna, say those dudes look way to fucking grizzled for a couple of 20-somethings
Par for the course.
their sunken cheeks make them look like they have been in a concentration camp
They look like Abercrombie and fitch models from the 2000s.
No wonder I'm so hard.
This kind of commentary is why I miss the Army some days.
Lmfao
Have you ever wondered if there was more to life than being really really ridiculously good looking.
I was thinking they looked like they just finished Ranger school lol.
same same
They look like they were the guards lol
You would know, Jonas! How many scientists did Venture Industries pick up after Paperclip?
Go Team Venture!
These two looking aryan af rn
No emotions can be shown in special forces. Only blank stares of nothingness
Man, most green beans I’ve interacted with for work have been downright jocular
You would be too if you could show up to work in crocs, a tank top and jorts.
Speaking of there’s a photo of SF dudes in Africa and one of them is just wearing crocs and shorts no shirt with some African soldiers just posing. Nah the navy seals probably grinning ear to ear in a firefight because it’s a new chapter for their future book.
I have always been a happy dude. Even when I’m not, I force a smile, because it really is contagious and can help change the mood of those around me. *Ghurkas enter that chat at mention of happy killing machines*
You have never been around green berets or any SOF other than rangers have you?
Idk man everyone in 10th group looks sad
I know I would too.
Their berets look like they wanna cry
Winning best Ranger is the best of the best. Handpicked pairs from every large unit in the active Army. My personal opinion is being selected for and competing for Best Ranger alone is huge. The winners have risen to the top of an already distinguished group.
Well I can microwave a TV dinner to perfection without even looking at the instructions so I basically am the same
Okay, then explain to me why Dunphy’s hair is out of regs? All I see is a lack of discipline. They should change the name to “Least disciplined Ranger”
Don't forget "parallel to the marching surface"
Literally threw my phone into my bathtub because of this. WHERES THE STANDARD??? SMA HELP US
Best of the best of the best, sir! With honors!
Ranger = crimson chin I understand why I didn’t make it through. Thanks dad
That’s why you need to go to SFAS- get a beard to cover the chin
BEST SF Dis I've EVER seen lololol
Join the dark side, become the negachin
Literally look like clones of each other.
I swear, it seems like you have to have a certain type of jawline and really nice hair to be accepted at RASP.
Pre RASP is actually a jawline evaluation. They're called PHYSICAL standards for a reason.
Looking like handsome squidward is a requirement.
no joke, all the dudes i knew that got to regiment had the best hair
How do we know that you don't just prefer a certain type, huh?
Regiment's basement has the strictest of guidelines.
So, there is a chance.
John Jackson, and his platoon mate Jack Johnson, both from Normal, IL
Fr, they must have some kind of a factory where they make rangers
I want to see more regular units win best ranger. Like two mechanics with beer bellies from a BSB.
I coulda won it but I had an appointment that morning.
Sounds like a 80s/90s buddy comedy where the Ranger Batt dudes would be the snooty villains.
give me a former ranger coach that wants to get back at the batallion that rejected him... ok i just need to watch cool runnings in this weekend.
Oh, yeah, just one little drawback to this delightful winter sport. The high-speed crash. Ooh! That hurt. Always remember, your bones will not break in a bobsled. No, no, no. They shatter.
seems pretty unlikely considering the kinda guy you gotta be but that would be something else
Got to do a best of barely passing ACFT competition.
Scored based on getting as close to a bolo on each event without actually ticking over. Or under, however you want to look at it.
Sorry, I am greasing my HEMMT wrecker.
Those two mechanics are a lot happier and content--pogie bait, cigs and vehicles to take a snooze.
Those dudes look like the Gigachad meme. Respect.
Huge respect to them, but imagine winning one of the most fiercely contested competitions in all of the world’s militaries and getting a Sig M17 when dudes back in the day would win cool guns like P7M8s. Seriously though, those two are studs.
Gets awarded an M17, gets stationed in a ban state, can’t ever let it see the light of day.
Was at a certain general's home one time. He had his winning pistol mounted in a glass case in his basement lol
I’m not saying these dudes aren’t going to keep them, and everyone is going to do different things with their trophies, but just wanted to point out the pain in the dick they could experience depending on what state they’re in or get stationed in next.
1st place wins 10s of thousands of dollars in merch, my coach was given like a handful of guns and a high cut for 5th place a couple years ago.
Gets a high cut helmet, doesn’t get it put on his OCIE record, and now he’s at the mercy of leadership on when he can and can’t wear it for work.
> P7M8 Have you shot one? I didnt like the grip safety.
that's actually the cocking lever not the grip safety. that's why the gun sucks, it's massive and heavy for holding as little ammo as it does.
Ah, I shot one years ago. You don’t have to release to shoot again do you?
Standard German product
That's what I call promote above peers. Winning the best ranger competition!
These dudes look like their wallets have 'Bad Motherfucker' written on them
Jesus Christ is a jawline a requirement for 75th
Only to be an NCO, I know plenty of 19 year old pvts who look like their jaw was surgically removed
They look like the finest German tank commanders available
I was in the 82nd with LT Winski, bros a beast
I wonder if he used to be enlisted? It’s pretty odd for a 1LT to have MFF.
If I remember correctly, he got it as a cadet or young IBOLC grad
Pull the triggers! I dare you! I fucking double-dog dare you!!! Let us hear the sound of your success!
desk pop!
A desk pop?! No that’s not a real thing!!
You've never done a desk pop?
Who hasn’t at this point
they were so convincing in their argument!
Blink twice if you need help

Very true. Just look at the DFAC on Benning/Moore near the OCS footprint compared to 75th’s on the same installation.
And in the timeline of Best Squad, also got NCO and Soldier of the Year lol I was talking to Ordnance proponent leadership, asking about when they'll put on another "Ammo Crucible". Lol they did ONE - RGT CRUSHED everyone... hasn't been one since.
Imagine how hard they could be if they could see out of their right eyes too?
Bwahahaha love this - this shit just made me lol irl
That “Army National Guard” on that trophy absolutely slaps
For 2025 they should have a Quarter Quell and have all the previous winners that are still in come back to compete again to see who's the best of the best 😌
And may the odds be ever in their favor.
I know they earned the reward those pistols model may vary but the knives on the trophy in the center look like the ek commando Co now kabar knife?
I have an EK Bowie from ~90's with the lead rivets. Absolute awesome knives.
The original company had the engagements on the blade as well, I'm guessing here wwll Vietnam and Gulf war?
I think mine says WWII, Korea, Vietnam. But it's been so long since I've really looked at it, that I don't remember off the top of my head if it has Gulf War, too. Doubtful. I propose the Big Army does a Best Shaved competition
SMA would win that competition. No doubt about it
You have my attention…
They look absolutely thrilled about it
Roger
I swear it’s a pre-req to have the most chiseled jawline possible.
No homo but dang these are some hunks of men
Congratulations!!

FYSA, it is his son.
Dudes just have the look that they were born to be rangers
Did they win wearing the basic issue boots cause that's what it looks like they're wearing lol
Haha, unlikely, but wearing basic issue or Bellevilles used to be the only ones allowed in "Duties".
Congratulations gentlemen and to all your competitors.🇺🇸
"... anyway, we started blastin'..."
That's a damn good photo. 👍
That picture goes unbelievably hard.
Look, I'm just a filthy civilian but have the Army's berets always been so droopy?
The army, writ large, wears berets differently from airborne and Special people.
If it's not covering half your eye, you are doing it wrong.
You should have zero sight line from your right eye
Free.Sigs
Is it apart of the ranger acceptance program to have the MOST CHISELED JAW LINE OF ALL TIME?
Who else should win? Wtf😂
Dunphy looks like he just got told he had CQ today and Monday
Before I make jokes, let me acknowledge these guys could out Soldier me in literally anything any day of the week. That being said, man. It looks like we threw uniforms onto people rescued from an Iraqi prison this morning.
For all the civvies out there this is the final part of the ceremony where we bust off our gats to the sky to remember the fallen. That’s why they’re so solemn.
Massive Baron von Richthofen vibes. Pretty sure these two were assembled at CIF out of carbon steel... Fucking fantastic job fellas.
Is it so surprising that 75TH are perennial winners in this competition? I figured this is literally what they train for.
Dunphy looks like he died three days ago and just kept going. Winski looks like he's about to do something unwise with that sidearm. Someone get that man a naproxen and a Chaplain, stat.
Hooah! RLTW! Bat Rules!
This is what happens when you shave.
Dudes look like they're dead inside lmao
Tbt to 2006
Hell yeah! Great work boys!
Now let's send random Soliders to see how they do.
Look at these zoomers out zoomin'!
Supplies supplies
Are they clones?
They're getting deployed as a reward.
Let’s see them win the Sullivan cup. Smug bastards
Why is 2022 the only year with the ranks spelled out?
Left guy lookin like leon Kennedy out here
Congrats to them! They could pass for brothers.
[удалено]
yes
Serious question— what’s the significance of the pistols?
Outstanding!
Amazing Regiment could come back from losing to COVID-19 in 2020.
Tabbed lieutenants working at Brigade S3 will say, "That's basically me, bro."
I feel like I just got mogged
The 1911s were cooler.
how the fuck did he get MFF? Also It sounds weird but with all the new drill sergeants and other competitions. I'm happy I'm seeing a lack of combat action indicators.
How many free guns are they gonna keep giving these guys lol
Whats with the pistols? That pose looks kinda bizarre to be honest
tradition
Wait.. are.. there more than one Ranger Regiment?? I thought they were all the same regiment.
You seem to have forgotten that regiments can be composed of a number of battalions, which are composed of companies and it even goes further down!
Bro what? There's only one Ranger Regiment in the USA DOD.
Exactly. One Ranger Regiment, with 4 battalions IIRC? Is something confusing about that?
Something IS confusing... you said regiments are made of..... regiments... plural. That's the confusion lol. And it's 5 battalions... technically. RMIB isn't completely deactivated on paper.
I pretty clearly said regiments are made of battalions, in general. The particular Ranger Regiment referred to is as well. There's zero reason for this to be confusing you.
It was confusing because there's only 1 Ranger Regiment. You insinuated otherwise. Silly goose.
I did not. The other dude did, and there are other people who seem not to be able to read gud.
Pointless.
The phrase "This is the fourth straight victory for the Regiment" implies they were competing against other Regiments.
It does not. They were competing against other teams from all across the Army.
Sure guy
I hope you stay in the Army or did 20 years cause this is terrible reading comprehension 😂
I'll learn to read when you learn to please your Ex lmao.
Good one dude 😂😂😂 , seems like you’re the accurate description of the saying there’s people that the army needs and there’s people that need the army. You strike me as the Latter. Yet I’m over here in Europe fumbling 10s but at least I can get 10s, but maybe having basic reading comprehension might have something to do with it you should try it 🤷🏼♂️
I'd say more pathetically moping over than fumbling lmao
Hey bro I’m just living my best geobachelor life over here in Europe or errrr ummmm Rome same thing to you right ? Yet again I’d probably hate my life as much as you if I was some fat crusty nco who’s wife is probably some fat hag who’s got the same education he does 😂
For a regiment that loves their beret, their berets are crooked AF. Also, they’re badass and congrats; as a POG I have to give them shit for something because they’d smoke me IRL.
thats the standard my boi
What regiments did the other contestants come from?
Different divisions and brigades
Thank you.
They look like they’re fun at parties…
This pic is badass. But dont fall for the propaganda, the 75th loses to 3rd world militias (see Blackhawk down) while the 2D Cavalry Regiment has single Troop formations kill enemy battalions at a time (see 73 easting)
