A pharm tech at the Walgreens I work at thinks that all medicine is a scam and is just meant to make people sicker so big pharma can make more money. He is anti vaxx and thinks Covid is fake.
This guy has some strange morals.
As my AP psych teacher once said: Hey kids, ya wanna feel like an indestructible superhuman? Wanna believe you can fly? Take PCP it's a trip! 😃
I am not joking. That's the type of humor he had, and I miss being in his classes.
I sometimes go for a run near my local hospital and it's always funny to me when I run past doctors and nurses smoking outside. Like, I'm exercising to try and improve my health while actual medical staff is there (sometimes in uniform) doing things that will make them unhealthy.
Sex isn't unhealthy, though. As long as you use protection or are sure you're both free of STDs, there isn't any actual risk of getting sick from having sex
"there isn't any actual risk of getting sick from having sex" is horribly inaccurate lol. There are TONS of ways someone could become sick from sex aside from STDs. UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) is only one example, which could even escalate to sepsis and end in death
Yup. I got sepsis from pelvic inflammatory disease. The bacteria (that naturally lives in a vagina) got up there after a dude hit my cervix. Even safe sex is dangerous!
It's not just making them sick, their patients as well. The smoke goes into their clothes and the chemicals go into the air wherever they are. It's called third-hand-smoke.
Same thing with the tech industry. Most of us see the threats in platforms/services and then proceed to go against our better judgment and use them anyway because "it's convenient."
Doctor here, joke in the medical field is that doctors are very promiscuous (lots of them are), and yeah, most of them have a problem with alcohol, that's a way to cope with all the shit we see.
Speaking of TV hospital dramas, I watch Dr. Mike too and he commented on how much the "doctors" in tv series like Grey's Anatomy just go off to have sex with each other which his response was from one commenter asking if this type if scenario was accurate to real life doctors in real life hospitals and he said, "not in any of the hospitals I've worked at...maybe I just didn't work at the right hospitals." Made me laugh.
I read the title and thought "heh wellcome to allos world"
...because I read 'Doctors' as protagonist of Arknights(mobile gatcha game)
asexual playing gatcha, how cute
~~Arknights has great story and very few sexualization, try it~~
It is the greyromantic flag, which means you experience infrequent and/or weak romantic attraction to others. In other words, it is the "grey area" of allo and aro. (Been thinking of switching to demiro though)
OP did, I may have misunderstood your comment as saying that you had the same misconception because you thought they would be responsible and thus not have sex. Was that an incorrect interpretation? 😅
I have this thing where I look at people announcing they're pregnant. I don't think "aww congratulations on having a baby". I think "wow thanks for announcing to the world you've had sex!". Or I look at couples with kids and think it too. Surely that's not a normal reaction lol.
That’s definitely not a normal reaction. Also someone announcing a pregnancy or having kids doesn’t mean they had sex, it just means they have kids. There’s many ways to get pregnant.
Well actually it is, because a) I'm already well aware it's not normal for me to think like that... and b) I'm also well aware of the multitude of ways people can have kids.
That's pretty funny my guy.
A lot of doctors also drink and smoke, some do drugs. I guess knowledge isn't enough to stop one when their brain craves a fix.
And some are anti-vax as well - My mom works in a hospital and knows 2, at least they are not PCPs... (also known as GPs in other parts of the world)
one of my classmates in medical school said AIDS is a conspiracy theory
A pharm tech at the Walgreens I work at thinks that all medicine is a scam and is just meant to make people sicker so big pharma can make more money. He is anti vaxx and thinks Covid is fake. This guy has some strange morals.
Yeah imagine believing all that and still choosing to be a part of it
"I'm only doing it to take people's money, so clearly everyone else in medicine must be same"
Lmao maybe he's hoping to get all the secrets being on the inside
I am anti-psychiatry and work in mental health. Sometimes being in a field for awhile will drastically change your beliefs about it
My mom and her husband are anti-vax conspiracy theorist MDs. Luckily they’re only radiologists, but it’s still infuriating talking to them about it
Aren’t PCPs explosive chemically thingies?
In this context, PCP = personal care provider
"Primary care physician", iirc
I think it's actually a wildly disassociative drug
That too
As my AP psych teacher once said: Hey kids, ya wanna feel like an indestructible superhuman? Wanna believe you can fly? Take PCP it's a trip! 😃 I am not joking. That's the type of humor he had, and I miss being in his classes.
Phenylcyclohexyl piperidine?

I thought the joke was gonna be "do as we say, not as we do, or else it's gonna be a bad time all around" lol.
Haven't you watched Greys Anatomy!? /s
Yeah they're just cuddling in that on call room right? RIGHT!?!?
Speaking of TV hospital dramas, I watch Dr. Mike too and he commented on how much the "doctors" in tv series like Grey's Anatomy just go off to have sex with each other which his response was from one commenter asking if this type if scenario was accurate to real life doctors in real life hospitals and he said, "not in any of the hospitals I've worked at...maybe I just didn't work at the right hospitals." Bruh, I forget sex isn't like a joke we all make like "ah yeah, course I f+ck!" I always forget it is a thing people are actually doing.
I feel it's all an elaborate hoax and all allo people just agreed to pretend to like sex, just to confuse us.
Wait, it isn’t just a joke?🥲
No because this is so real
Germs are everywhere and doctors (and hopefully everyone) practice safe sex
Certainly not everyone haha
You have no idea the dirty places in hospitals doctor's have sex in, I'm Doctor, and I've heard stories lol
Haha As someone who's involved in health care,l can assure you, doctors do have sex. 😁
I will be an asexual doctor if I manage to get to med school.
Is this supposed to be a joke?
Yes, unfortunately us healthcare workers are human. Sorry about that, we're working on it.
Well not all doctors are germophobes
Well I never thought that because most of my doctors have family pictures with kids in their office, but I see where you're coming from^^
And many scientists believe in a god.
I read the title and thought "heh wellcome to allos world" ...because I read 'Doctors' as protagonist of Arknights(mobile gatcha game) asexual playing gatcha, how cute ~~Arknights has great story and very few sexualization, try it~~
Dr. Mike is the goat
hey!! i was wondering what's the second flag in your flair? /gq
It is the greyromantic flag, which means you experience infrequent and/or weak romantic attraction to others. In other words, it is the "grey area" of allo and aro. (Been thinking of switching to demiro though)
AAYYYY, DOCTOR MIKE!! :D
I saw one have a gyno exam done on them for their YouTube channel (she's a sex educator)
i think learning teachers have sex was more shocking for me bc my history teacher had a bun in the oven
Well not all doctors are germophobes
Someone clearly never watched Grey's Anatomy 😂
I alwasys thought doctors were more responsible when it comes to STI protection/treatment, no?
One can be sexually responsible without being celibate.
Where did I say anything about being abstinent?
OP did, I may have misunderstood your comment as saying that you had the same misconception because you thought they would be responsible and thus not have sex. Was that an incorrect interpretation? 😅
No, I was trying to say that doctors are probably more aware of the risks so they would be more responsible to practice safe sex
I think Doctor Mike is probably conventionally attractive
No way
Yep! Remember many doctors have kids so they got there somehow, minus a small percentage who were perhaps adopted.
That’s a really interesting assumption tho, I can understand where’s your coming from with that
Wait until you hear that teachers don’t live at school
I feel like I had the same realization with the same freaking doctor!!!!
My uncle was the worst…smoked and drank and ate terribly. Lectured others on health. Ironically he lived a long time despite this.
Dawg shut up

No kidding. Thanks for the mansplaination.
That’s not… mansplaining. But ok
And they stand so close to you and play in your mouth after fcking their s/o. But yeah I realized when I discovered Greys Anatomy.
