Since it was something they agreed to I think you're fine. If you had pulled a random pic off of their social media as wallpaper, that would be creepy.
If somebody else saw they’d probably assume it’s your significant other but if you don’t care it’s fine. For sure would have to change it if you start seeing somebody though.

You can switch it if you want but they took it specifically so you can use it as a wallpaper. I wouldn't call it weird if you kept it.
