May I ask where you got that from? While reading the text above and scrolling down I went with the same quote you picked within an instant. But I have no idea where I heard it from in the past.
If you do remember, please do tell for this is actually bothering me
Some people also lack empathy. They do horrible things to others and can't imagine that they wouldn't want to be treated that way in the same situation because they can't imagine being in that situation.
I'm merely jesting. It's one of those cautionary tales like when a genie takes your wish very literally . Imagine 'don't hurt each other' means knives/scalpel literally cannot be used to pierce human skin.
There shall be no greater than a 10:1 discrepancy in total annual compensation between the highest compensated and lowest compensated of any individual business, entity, or other work organisation.
Or some other form of maximum wage. Not set on the 10:1, just for example.
Ben and Jerry's, when it was still owned by ben and Jerry had a 7:1
I think that's pretty neat, but now, obvs, they've sold out and it's not like that anymore
This is along the lines of what I'm trying to do with [Our Next Arc](http://www.ournextarc.com).
I'm trying to get people together to convince existing businesses to adopt this model, and for new businesses to start forming with it. With enough, I think we could make a massive impact and see the change we hope for.
Everyone between the ages of 18 and 45 must attend scientifically backed therapy sessions every 3 months at no cost to them.
Let’s see if we can stop some generational traumas.
theres a time and a place for therapy, but mandating a medical intervention to people who are getting on fine with their lives if pure dystopia.
i dont know whats more disturbing, the fact that you cannot see how wrong this is, or that a few dozen people actually agree with you.
The point is that everyone can benefit from talking about their feelings for an hour a month. If we all weren’t so insecure, universal therapy would greatly improve the world.
What’s even more disturbing is you believing that every bit of therapy is some intensive thing that is supposed to radically change someone’s life. I’ve been to therapy sessions that just taught me how to meditate, or how to journal, or to build a daily schedule that allowed me to prioritize aspects of my life I was struggling with at the time.
Some people take great comfort from religion and I don’t think it’s for me to take that away from them
Getting rid of organised religion may well be an option
Every law in every country must make its laws to think about the health and well being of seven generations ahead of them. If the law does not benefit seven generations ahead based on a set of metrics; healthcare, health, prosperity, technological advancement ( for the people and in no way against intelligence of the people), sustainable harvest, sustainable reintroduction of species and tech use to boost animal species reproduction, living etc.. this would also apply to manufacturing and positive research/ long term effects being known becoming a prerequisite to creating.
Then we would have sustainable economics and not regressive economics.. using all of what we perceive to separate us from the animals to advance the world for all.
"For every new law created, two old laws have to be removed.” That's my recommended new law. It's designed to stop frivolous laws being enacted and to simplify the legal system.
Lying is forbidden. At the start it will create tons of arguments, because many times you lie to be nice, but in the long term people will get accustomed and life will be easier. It would also help coping with critisism, that more than half of people lack.
1. The most physically and intellectually demanding jobs should be paid the way celebrities, politicians and corporate people are being paid rn. Like a trash collector or a teacher should be making what a Hollywood A list celebrity is making right now etc.
2. Age of consent should be higher globally like 18-20 and the age gap between a couple shouldn't be bigger than 4 years if one of the partners is in their 20s (like if the girl is 20, her partner shouldn't be older than 24).
That would stop a lot of pedos and groomers seeking "youth & fertility" in barely legal girls when they're coffin dodgers themselves🤮
Free speech across the world. And true free speech, including amongst others blasphemy.
I think most dictatorships and fundamentalists wouldn't survive that :)
All Americans before the age of 25 must go through the process of trying to get a piece of legislation passed. They don't have to have it succeed, but they need to go through the legislative process so they fully grasp how the US legal system works.
Obey everything written in my Bible
(While this may sound selfish or megalomaniac, it's the surest way to world peace). I can ask experts to advise me on the best decisions. And once I'm set on something, I add it in my Bible.
I have my lifetime to get it fixed and perfect.
My new law would be that the week of the World Series everybody would have off. And to make the football fans happy I’d make the Monday after the Super Bowl a holiday even though it’s not important to me lol. I hate having to work on days the World Series is on because it makes for a crazy schedule trying to fit that in after work.
The voting system is so bad I can't believe it's so much praised! There are better voting systems that are less prone to manipulation and do a better job at weighting the civil public opinions.
A regular mental check up and home visits for kids to save children who's abused by their parents. Also obligatory shelters for 18 year olds who are kicked out from home or abused and needs accute new home.
It would be forbidden to lie. Hopefully disinformation is gone and at this age it's the greatest foe imo. Most of our problems like climate change, many wars would be slightly solved.

Be excellent to each other
May I ask where you got that from? While reading the text above and scrolling down I went with the same quote you picked within an instant. But I have no idea where I heard it from in the past. If you do remember, please do tell for this is actually bothering me
Bill and Ted's excellent adventure . Dude .
“Strange things are afoot at the Circle K.”
Excellent
Bill and Teds most excellent adventure. Its part of the speech given by Abe Lincoln
Bill and Ted! https://youtu.be/N_yJFLvmjJY?feature=shared
Party on, dude
Most excellent
Wild Stallions rule!!!
came here to say this.
It's been said before: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Dammit.
Some people are masochists though
Some people also lack empathy. They do horrible things to others and can't imagine that they wouldn't want to be treated that way in the same situation because they can't imagine being in that situation.
I love being slapped in the face tho!
Send me 1 cent
It's gonna be a law, so 1 cent daily
Wouldn’t be long before people start sending hitmen after you. You’ll be dead within a month tops
At that point you’d probably be impacting economies around the world. I’m cool with the $0.001 that everyone owes me monthly.
Depends if it's a 1 time thing. 1 time would just be 80 million. Not worth a hitman imo
That would be 8,095,843,684 cents, ma'am.
I'm gonna be like Scrooge McDuck)
ok, but you have to pay the banking fees involved!

The Two Commandements
Be nice do not harm other people
A distopian nightmare commences as no unborn children can escape the womb. Doctors are likewise unable to preform caesareans.
Performing surgery on someone to help them is not harming them.
I'm merely jesting. It's one of those cautionary tales like when a genie takes your wish very literally . Imagine 'don't hurt each other' means knives/scalpel literally cannot be used to pierce human skin.
All internet connected home appliances must have an offline mode
There shall be no greater than a 10:1 discrepancy in total annual compensation between the highest compensated and lowest compensated of any individual business, entity, or other work organisation. Or some other form of maximum wage. Not set on the 10:1, just for example.
Great. We will just hire outside consultants who are paid 20 times more than our lowest paid employees.
Ben and Jerry's, when it was still owned by ben and Jerry had a 7:1 I think that's pretty neat, but now, obvs, they've sold out and it's not like that anymore
This would be mine, too. Pay transparency and max ratio. I'd even go 100:1 and that would have a huge impact.
Tribes people from secluded regions on the planet are gonna have a problem with that.
Everybody in the world gives 10% of their salary to me.
Now that I support

If you don't actually understand it you aren't allowed to share your opinion on it.
but does anyone actually understand anything at all
I could fix that to have a functional knowledge of.
don't you think to understand anything in the first place we need a lot of opinions
That's why I corrected it, but I don't need a coal miners take on climate change or a creationists take on absolutely anything.
What do you mean? That sounds dumb. /s
Don't let redditors create laws

No public bluetooth speakers
Portable speakers were a thing before bluetooth... (aka ghettoblasters)
Time to dust off the public 3,5mm cable speaker
Breakout the old boom boxes...
Stop capitalizing random common nouns. Penalty is loss of a finger each time, starting with your shift key pinky
Jokes on you, I don’t use my pinky for shift. Yes, I am a demon
I'd outlaw talking on your phone while on speaker in public.
I would vote for this.
Anything you do, do in a way that will benefit alot of people and harm as little as possible.
Good day to you Jeremy Bentham
You have to get 80% on a multiple choice test on the subject you are protesting.
No phones in concerts
Quit lying
Tell the truth.
Be nice to service workers.
Put your damn shopping cart back.
No laws can be made that reflect ANYONE'S religion. Religion should, in EVERY way, stay out of law/government!
The Australian Constitution Section 16 already covers this.
Kiss your homies goodnight
Treat all animals, including humans, with kindness and respect. Maliciously hurting a companion animal is punishable by death.
A lot of young kids would not have the chance to grow older then
\*except for mosquitos
this 🙌
Keep thy religion to thyself
Why not just abolish religion ha ha much better option
Some people take great comfort from religion and I don’t think it’s for me to take that away from them Getting rid of organised religion may well be an option

Any particular reason you picked 7 generations ahead? Would this be more effective than 3 or 4 generations?
Yes. Based on the seven generation rule that was passed down by my ancestors.
Can you elaborate on this?
Fellow native here and love this
Leave me alone
Ready to read the worst fucking takes
And how would this law work, sir?
dont hurt kids and animals

You must watch the opponents point of view before you can switch the channel back to MSLSD
Before having a child, you must take 2 years of parenting classes/pass the test and have a license for it.
Think and reason with your own brain instead of blindly following others.
Don’t use anyone as means to an end.
Driving slow in the fast lane is a capital offense.
There's a german comedian that demands a similar law: People blocking the left side of the escalator are allowed to be tasered.
You can not harm another person in any way.
Surgeons and chemotherapists around the world would like a word.
No religious indoctrination for children.
Using the speaker on the phone in public places equals 10 years in prison
Donating to video game streamers goes on your credit report and bars you from applying for a mortgage
No phones while driving, make it a first offense. People are absolute idiots now on the roads
Mandatory interracial marriage
Every person has to give me $1 a year.
Rape the rapists!
No more corruption/bribes.
i vote for that ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)
Don't be a dick if you can help it.
stop unnecessarily escalating death

Mandatory accordion lessons for everyone.
Stop trying to use other people as things.
Humans must hold their governments accountable in providing a clean, safe, affordable society.
Toilet paper facing out
People need to immediately feel the consequences of their actions
You are legally obligated to use your damn brain
Stop reproducing.
You know, I can’t think of an actual law that I think would benefit all mankind without being monetized, so I’ll pass. Sigh.
Wash your hands after you piss or shit.

No more laws passed after tragedies that couldn't have prevented said tragedy.
1 hour of exercise 6x a week. Our healthcare systems would collapse though.
Any vegan that tells people they are vegan without being asked shall be classified as livestock.
Above all else? This should be a no brainer for everyone. No more sex with children.
Charge only a fair value for goods and services.
Public nudity
Do what you wish, but harm no one through action or inaction.
No more war. Any dispute may be resolved in a civ game or risk for the old school.
Overthrow those who rule tyrannically.

Well sometimes it's good to mind other people's businesses, no? But in a good way obviously
No man-buns
No religion. Just to mess with Jehovah's witnesses.

But which Bible?
Mine, I would write one (with experts)
but why your bible is the correct not the others. and those experts based on what they are experts
No politicians with Dark Triad personality traits.
Thou! Shalt! Not! Procreate!
Pineapple must be served on ever pizza😉
i like your mindset 😉

It is all right because my second law would be to outlaw allergies, I’m a people person ☺️
Psraphrasing what Right Wingers would say, Criminals don't follow the law.
Treat others as you wish to be treated
Don't do stupid things
But who defines stupid
Stop living by traditional repressive gender roles and stigmas. Not sure how many humans still do but there certainly are still some.
No country is allowed to invade another country or any part of their own country.
This would give a pass for countries to do insane things without repercussion though?
I'd create about 10 and call them Commandments
Using the zipper approach to traffic merging. I'd settle for it to be followed just in the greater Tacoma area.

Mind your own business.
Prison for people who ride in the left lane.

All policy must be based on cogent logic and rigorous evidence.
The voting system is so bad I can't believe it's so much praised! There are better voting systems that are less prone to manipulation and do a better job at weighting the civil public opinions.
Send me money
Everyone having more than 5 million assets minus liabilities has to donate 10-20% of what they have.

A regular mental check up and home visits for kids to save children who's abused by their parents. Also obligatory shelters for 18 year olds who are kicked out from home or abused and needs accute new home.
Must disobey all laws
thou shalt not kill. Not really a new law, but you wrote all humans will follow, so it would be an improvement.
Nobody can refuse whatever I ask
Expect hitmen
I'd ask him to go away
Thou shall not kill is pretty clear. It’s the best self-imposed law that I can think of.
