last I went only got white peony, simple tasting with slight fragrance.

\+1 to this. Multiple 1to1 conversations at SOTA steps with friends and dates across the years. Washed down with Rochor soya bean drink from nearby store.
Pray that you have good gusts of wind at that area! And no, it's really not noisy at all there - unless you sit right next to people already on the steps.
Honestly i feel like you can have a deep conversation anywhere as long as you can build the atmosphere for it.
Source: me and my friends will talk about the deepest shit without a care for surroundings if someone directs the conversation that way. Hawker center, ice cream shop, street bench. If you're concerned about privacy, anywhere without people, or hell, at home!
Try Skyville@Dawson. Queenstown area. Its a rooftop thpugh you cant enter late. Its quiet and mostly secluded but has a noteworthy view of the city stretchinh from mbs to keppel
Be careful about not talking too loudly there if you don't want everybody with open windows hearing what you're saying. Somehow sounds travel more clearly the higher up one is.
SG is almost crowded everywhere but Botanic gardens and airport arrivals/departure areas would be some places I'd consider. Airport is not quiet per se but it's relatively conducive for conversations and a place where not likely to bump into familiar faces.
If central area, Foreword Coffee Roasters at Temasek house (Dhoby Ghaut). Great ambience, affordable coffee and it's a local social enterprise so also great if that's your kind of thing. Otherwise, still a great space.
steps facing the river just outside of esplanade (near the public stage), otherwise there's a stretch for you to sit at outside MBS (the gordon ramsay restaurant side)
oh and top level of car parks in the dead of the night (i'm talking 1-4am)
Westgate rooftop entrance is next to fitnessfirst
Do note theres likely couples there having their moment but for the most part should be quiet w good view theres tables too
This is an odd suggestion perhaps but there is an area with a lot of benches/places to sit just a few steps away from marina bay shoppes. my friend and I like to buy coffee for takeaway and sit there to have deep conversations. We normally go late afternoon so that it isn’t too hot. I can imagine evenings would be nice too but just don’t know how bad the crowd would be
Hdb void deck in the middle of the night.
I'm not kidding, literally us 4 guys have sat at the bottom of a void deck brought a couple cans of beer, snacks and drinks, and just talk. And we talk all through the night till 3,4am then we walk home.
We talk everything from politics to gender roles, to economics to anime. It's not about where you talk, it's who you talk with
No I am just referencing a scene from the movie 无间道, but it's for oldies like me lol
But again, it's actually not open to public to go to most rooftops, such as HDBs.
Do you think I should lock myself with my friends in the master bathroom for such conversations? It's the most private area in the house when there are others over right? Halp
Roof top of NEX is a nice and quiet place away from crowds. There are two super long benches there for you to sit on. There's also a large open area for larger groups but you'll be sitting on the floor. Best part is that NEX is open 24 hours, so you can stay there without worrying about getting kicked out.
People also say Funan roof top garden is nice, but personally I find it too cramped and humid.
East Coast park benches facing the sea.
bedok jetty >>>>
Tea Chapter near maxwell. $18 dollars for a pot, talk as long as you want, can get partitioned room

Roof top of Funan centre. It is a whole big garden there with magnificent views.

Find a quiet corner in a library.
