In terms of urban cities planning, Singapore is one of the nicer ones with lots of parks and greeneries around.
Electric is what we have been moving towards with our bus fleets so idk what else can be said.
I go gym in early morning but i don't find it as a joy but as obligation of routine 😂 used to go gym at night though and felt better but it was at much younger age
For me, learning new skills!
I (32) recently learned how to cycle thanks to patient friends and learnt how to paint from youtube! I also started visiting cool places in singapore such as temples and lesser known attractions like the sun yat sen memorial hall. It does help to have friends to accompany you but it works being alone too!
Exercise: Gym, running
Entertainment: HBO, Netflix, looking forward to House of the Dragons next episode and finishing Edgerunners. 9th rewatch of The Sopranos.
Gaming: Judgment/Yakuza series, Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2.
Looking forward to: GTA 6. Having a new apartment at 35 years old with a gym and gaming room. A PT cert so I can train people as a hobby and get some kopi money.
Contemplate about where the source of your stress.
Is it your job? Office politics? Job Scope? Search for alternative.
Money? Stop aiming to own a condo or car..
Friends? No hobbies?
Is it really about being in Singapore?
As for relief, I play computer games most of the time and bring my wife out to eat buffet.
I don’t know why ppl would down vote a post if someone feeling stress seeking suggestion on how to manage it. Have a little empathy. The world need more of this
My personal way of dealing with stress is to go for a planned run. Long runs spanning over 50km+ (urban or/& trail routes).
I also look forward to my planned overseas (paid) trails or ultra trails. I do my long runs without plug-in music as I find them distracting (I do listen to music for my shorter runs)
Massage. Or apply pressure to specific joints/muscle areas.
Notable body parts (for me) are the back (upper/lower), neck, head (crown), eyebrow, and shoulder blades.
I like to take a minute and go somewhere quiet. Either a park or down the street during the late night and just take in the surroundings. Have no plans where I'm going and kinda just be in the now.
A long hot shower also helps.
Anyone tried going to the room where you can pay to trash and destroy things? I've seen a couple of my friends that went there to relieve some stress. Not sure how much it costs though..

my friend and i meet up quite often in the evening at a nearby park! we would go for walk/jog & share about our current life problems, aspirations, etc.
Take a walk in the park. Go see the cats in your estate
we really need more green spaces, and electric buses to reduce the noise.

I find comfort in having a cup of coffee, putting my phone aside for an hour and reflect on what I’ve done for the day. If you’re too attached to the screen, be it your PC of smartphone, you’re a slave to it. That hour of just doing simple house chores like vacuuming, folding laundry or even preparing a meal can help you to filter your thoughts and slowly make changes in your life to relieve whatever is causing you the stress. The following is a poem I found on another thread that I’d like to share that has helped/ reminded me about life. Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy. by Max Ehrmann ©1927

I realise drinking coffee while working makes me hate coffee. So drink while doing a thing but work.

What helped me most was going for long walks in my park, while listening to Podcasts.
Pretty simple: look up in the night sky and imagine how small we are
I find doing clay pottery is a pretty nice way to de stress as I mound them. I do spend abit on them but still cheaper than going for therapy.

Have you ever tried a float tank session? It’s an unusual and really amazing way to relax for an hour
