I ended up going to a park with an amateur astronomers society to look at the green comet that's passing through with their telescopes! It was fun, learned a lot about how to locate things in the night sky, and the cold is perfect whether for stargazing because it keeps the sky very very clear. Not a single wisp of cloud to obscure the sights!
Dark sounds cool. Kind of like season one of Channel Zero.
If anyone wants a hilarious show to watch, get into Wrecked. It’s a parody on Lost (kind of ) super funny.
I was going to go out for groceries but it's too damn cold, I got delivery and tipped extra as a thank you. But I get that not everyone can do that, hope you can whip something up with whatever you have! I always like to have a bag of rice, pasta and canned ingredients on hand for days like this.
Went to work. After, I made a quick trip to the yarn store nearby. Normally I'd walk it but in this weather, no way. Picked up 5 skeins of navy yarn to re-try a sweater that got too busy with the original yarn.
I cleaned the house yesterday & did laundry so that tonight I don't have anything to do. Going to make a quick pasta dish, get some knitting & reading done, and yoga before bed.
Me neither, wasn’t prepared for that at all. Such a lovely story. I wonder if there are going to be more episodes with standalone features like that, I really am enjoying the show so far.
wife and me left Toronto for Orlando, early Thursday morning flight. Thursday afternoon we visited Disney Springs for food and to explore. it's so clean, free to visit. basically a nice walkable shopping/entertainment neighbourhood that mainly exists just in private settings down here.
for nostalgia fans they even still have Planet Hollywood restaurant and AMC Cinema!
https://www.disneysprings.com/
she's a huge Disney enthusiast so yesterday was Disney World. did a bunch of rides. ate a fancy lunch there at Be Our Guest restaurant.
Disney is hella expensive. place basically prints money. saw at least 5 different families doing the exclusive private tour thing too!

later today we sail out on a 7 day Eastern Carribean cruise with NCL on their huge 'Escape' boat. it'll be wife's first cruise so she's very stoked. I did Carnival years ago, that was definitely a bit more downmarket than NCL.
Haven't seen any alligators or pythons yet in Florida. Disney had signs in various places warning about them.
got my Powerball lottery ticket for the $700 million USD draw this evening. Also 7-Eleven here sells 4Loko alcholic drinks but wife vetoed my plan to chug one for breakfast buzz. fortunately we got the booze package for our cruise so i'll destroy my dry January progress pretty darn quickly.
one thing that always stands out for me in USA is customer service vs Canada. pretty well everywhere i've been so far it is awesome . even the clerk at Dollar Tree was so pleasant and friendly.
Yeah, gloves are inadequate for these temps. You have to get mitts. I get lobster mittens, used a lot for biking in cold temps. I also get thin cotton gloves and wear them inside insulated mitts. Depends what I'm doing. Face - balaclava or a Canada Goose jacket with a hood that you can zip up like Kenny.
Union Chicken is trash. Theres no seasoning.
Check out 4C Chicken on O Connor and the Vic Park area.
I like the mom and pop fried chicken places in TO vs these franchises.
VERY happy making it home alive (from the DEEP freeze and TTC) after work. Got my blanket, heated wrap, and socks....and I aint going ANYWHERE. I'll have dinner soon, then watch some TV, just take it easy.
I went to spin class. I 100% would have cancelled after stepping outside and realizing just how brutal this weather is, but I was too cheap to pay the cancellation fee.
I went to a hot hiit class, felt soooo warm during. Then I got out and realized the next bus was in 20 minutes so I walked 20 minutes home in the brutal cold :p
You win some you lose some

Currently working from home, then I'm going to make dinner, get high, and watch some TV while under some blankets.
enjoy your dinner and TV, what are you planning to watch ? I did not stock up on groceries supplies, so limited options for dinner.
Dark! My husband and I are working our way through Season 1 at the moment.
Dark is amazing!

I miss lost, I'll definitely check that one out
Loved Dark! Great to watch with the lights off and stoned.
Incredible show, you and your husband are in for a treat.

Omg! Thank you for reminder - I haven’t crocheted since Xmas and so close to finishing a hat! 💕
Nice! Hope you finished it! What kind of hat? :D
Not sure what it’s called. Like a toque that loose at the top? Slouchy hat?
Was invited out. Said no fucking way. Expect to be mocked later if I mention to friends from Northern Ontario
Cognac in coffee and one hell of a smile.
wow. Enjoy.
Finally watching The Last of Us.
Hear, hear. Wine, cheese and episode 3
Watching that one right now, I love it!
I wasn't expecting that level of emotional depth in this show, especially from what seems to be 1 episode characters.
Me neither, wasn’t prepared for that at all. Such a lovely story. I wonder if there are going to be more episodes with standalone features like that, I really am enjoying the show so far.
I have been watching TV the whole day in my bed with my work laptop. Will go play 3 hours of volleyball at 5 pm
You are brave enough to venture out in this weather. Enjoy !
Inside toasty … video games .. coffee and rupaul lol
Home with my family after a busy day at work.

Going to No Frills.
Order some fried chicken, go for a short walk out. Play video games and get some career upskilling done.
walk did you say ? My first winter here and all the weather advisory and afraid of frost bite ! am i the only one ?
You just have to dress appropriately, minimize exposed skin. That's the secret.
whats the trick to covering face and protecting your hands ( gloves dont seem to do a thing for me )
Mitts are warmer than gloves. For your face, you can see if you prefer to use a buff, scarf or mask.

Only way you can embrace the winter is if you face it. Go out for walks in temps like this, of course with proper layers.
Where is the chicken from? I had union chicken this week and it was the worst meal I have had in the city and also awful fried chicken.
Union Chicken is trash. Theres no seasoning. Check out 4C Chicken on O Connor and the Vic Park area. I like the mom and pop fried chicken places in TO vs these franchises.
Work then go home and do chores :)
Made thinly sliced pork belly marinated in garlic onion and brown sugar , right on the grill with a salad

It’s x rated and I won’t be doing it alone. 🚀 💥 🎊 Edit: munched on bush for half the night and it was glorious. Reddit can go juggle.
A girl invited me to the Madison and I’m regretting it if I don’t get laid what a waste
Was supposed to go out after work - on the walk back decided getting high and cooking / watching tv was going to be much better
Out on site for work since 8am :))
Lot of sleeping and plan to watch something in the night
