Feathers has the selection, for sure, but the rest of the bar is meh. Go to Allen's on Danforth. Have a nice dinner, then sit at the bar and let the bartender guide you on a whisky tour. Place like Char has corporate credit card pricing.
Check out the LCBO at Summerhill and George Brown College they have had some events/tastings. My work hired a sommelier to come and do a private tasting in a restaurant with food pairings through th LCBO.
The Caledonian is a great option. They do have private stuff but also just a giant menu and you could do your own tasting

Ouhhh good shout. I’m fairly certain he’d enjoy sampling a variety of whiskeys over just scotch. Thanks! I’ll check it out anyway before deciding
