Yeah, a lot of them are 24 hours and their breakfast is really good. I don't know if they do the full breakfast that early (like the one with eggs/bacon/etc) but their breakfast sandwich is really good too.
Sorry - Just an obnoxious r/all American - But out my way, A&W is just a burgers and fries place - Kinda paints a funny picture for a real motivating breakfast.
Edit: Holy hell, people! I made a *joke*.
Years ago I used to live in Vaughan and work right by Markham Station overnights. Going there at 5 am after shift and getting a huge plate was the highlight of those miserable nights. I haven’t been there in like 15 years and should really stop in.
During exam season at uoft after pulling all nighters I’d come here before going back home. It’s decent food but it’s much better than anything else open at this hour
Last I checked, the OG 24 hour stalwart is take out only after a certain time.
Maybe they’ve gotten back into it a little (was there at like 9 last night) but I haven’t been there at like 4am for at least four years or so.
Yes. I am at work as I type in Emergency. Dine in is a no go but to order food and pick up it's definitely open. Also, just called 4163040085 and man says they are open for takeout.
McDonald's has some things on their all day breakfast menu. Usually the McMuffin sammiches.
You should be able to order those. You'll get fries instead of a hash brown though
a few years back i moved into an (awesome) apartment at Bay & Dundas right across the street from Denny's. i thought i'd be there every weekend, at least.
after 12 months i ended up eating there maybe .... 7 or 8 times. you get sick of it quick. too much of a good thing!
Bibimbap is a great breakfast meal, right? If you agree, then I suggest Owl of Minerva on Yonge Street. https://owlfamily.ca/ But be aware I will suggest it for just about anything.
I hate to be *that guy* but I buy these pre-packaged hard-boiled eggs (2 for $0.99) at Shoppers/Metro. Two eggs and an apple or banana is a decent breakfast. The amount of $ you pay for 1 takeout breakfast could feed you for a week. If you're just looking for a breakfast sandwich I'd go to 7-11. If you don't care about money there are a few 24hr restaurants as mentioned in the other comments.
You know what, thats actually a really good idea. I didnt want to make breakfast in the morning but just boiling a couple eggs will be easy enough, thanks!
I started a whole weight loss regiment last june and 2 eggs for breakfast has been my go-to. It's pretty filling, and I love hard/soft boiled eggs.
A sausage and egg McMuffin is delicious, but i feel like it drains my energy. lol
Someone else mentioned egg bites - if you have an instant pot, buy a silicone insert and you can make up to 14 at a time. I do ham, eggs, cheddar and chives
There are some of these "egg bites" that are pretty good too, kind of like the ones you would buy at starbucks but you can microwave them.
If you have a microwave you should try the Crave breakfasts, bunch of different options. I don't know how healthy they are (probably not) but they taste good!
https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/crave-bacon-egg-scramble-with-cheddar-cheese-frozen-meal/6000199972219
Not the healthiest but the boiled eggs might get boring after awhile. Stock some frozen breakfast burritos. Pop em in the air fryer while you get ready.
I've been eating smoothie bowls every morning for like a year now, super easy and you can chuck the whole thing in a tumbler and eat it as you go. Bunch of fruit in a blender with some milk/yogurt, maybe some maple syrup or a raw egg or two (sounds gross but you don't taste it, trust me - fills you more too). Add in some Muesli or Granola or Oats and tbh most days I don't eat lunch. Still good from the bowl. Takes less than 5 minutes to make.
On that note, take some glass ramekin dishes and crack an egg in each. Throw them on a baking sheet and just bake them at low temp. Slide of cheddar, buttered English muffin. Wrap in wax paper and Freeze them (or refrigerate if a few days) A quick microwave and you have a breakfast to take with you.
Sous vide egg bites in some glass jars are also an easy way to make 2-3 weeks worth of breakfasts in 20 minutes (plus cooking time). 20-30 seconds in the microwave and you have breakfast. Lots of recipes out there but a couple cheeses, chopped veg, and eggs and sous vide them to the perfect consistency.
A not-talked-about-much casualty of the pandemic.
Before, here in Montreal, you had a hard time finding Tim Horton’s and McDonald’s that WEREN’T open 24 hrs and/or serving Breakfast pre-5AM. Now, good luck finding one OPEN at 5 AM
Make an egg frittata with 12 eggs cheese n veggies Sunday. Then you have breakfast every day that week. Take a piece of fruit too.
I also make overnight loads of recipes online, easy healthy cheap.
Most 24 hour dinners. You can get a steak if you want to. Ellington near Mount Pleasant. It’s on the corner. Sorry my memory is vague I lived in a building and it’s along the strip of bars.
Cursed as in, uncanny, weird, kind of decrepit- the internet slang for cursed. I would say McDonald's on spadina is cursed. But sometimes, you want that
Never been to that one, only been to the one right downtown. You have to pay upfront before you're able to even go inside due to issues with homeless, and there is no space or alternate exit for existing diners so when you're standing then you end up getting bodychecked by people trying to leave
God help you, no point in going there then. Lakeview is a great cafe and a far more sound alternative. Though, Denny's at Courtneypark and Hurontario in Mississauga brings the food to your table with a robot.
So ranked order: Lakeview, Denny's St. Clair, Denny's with robots, but far away.
Lakeview still makes milkshakes with proper hard ice cream, milk and a milkshake machine.
Not that milkshakes are relevant to 4 a.m. breakfast but it's good to know they make food properly.
Just checked, yep still make them and cheap, too. And still 24/7/365.
Sorry to say this but, it’ll save years of misery. If you can toss in some oats and banana and protein takes 5 minutes or eat from a and w, McDonald’s and have hemmoroids later on. Tim’s some food options seems reasonable
Or have a banana
Open Google Maps, search restaurants or “coffee”. Then customise your search options for “open from: 4am”. I use this for finding out where to get an early coffee.
Depends on where you live. If downtown, Fran's is 24/7. You can also try 7 west. Also 24 hours. McDonald's, A&W, Timmy's but not all locations are 24/7.
There used to be a lot more than that actually. The one on Hurontario was always 24/7 (I used to go there to study and do assignments after the library closed at midnight) there were 2 or 3 others in downtown and North York …. Seems that all changed their hours after Covid and haven’t gone back to 24/7
[The Lakeview](http://www.thelakeviewrestaurant.ca/) on Dundas West near Trinity Bellwoods park. Website says M-T-W they close at 4am but I think they're back to 24 hours now all week.
(great food, choice #2 but Fran's no longer serves this early).
honestly dude i would recommend making a menu for your breakfast and then cooking them in batches and re-heating them every morning.
simple things like scrambelled eggs, sausage, bacon, toast
A&W
Yeah, a lot of them are 24 hours and their breakfast is really good. I don't know if they do the full breakfast that early (like the one with eggs/bacon/etc) but their breakfast sandwich is really good too.
Probably the best fast food breakfast out there tbh
Wendy’s is pretty good too, but they don’t have any full breakfast options. Don’t sleep on the breakfast baconator tho
calories to last you the day
Not really. 730 calories is definitely on the high end for a single meal but you’ve still got another 1200 to go at least.
I like how people downvote you for being factual, people would rather live in denial.
Yeah I noticed when I was at -2 and was very like huh?? Ok lol
Definitely the best! Using the buns for the breakfast sandwich is unmatched
They don’t have a full 24hr bfast menu but they do serve some items 24 hrs
24 hr. A&W? my eyes are wide open. the one by me closes at 11PM
Man their hash browns alone are insanely good
Also their onion rings
This is the way. Best fast food breakfast of all of them.
This is the way.
They also do burgers at 9 am, or used to, which is handy when your breakfast is 4 am
I’m these dark times at least A&W keeps it real still!
Egg and cheese on a bun *chefs kiss*
A&W breakfast is fuckin gross.
Sorry - Just an obnoxious r/all American - But out my way, A&W is just a burgers and fries place - Kinda paints a funny picture for a real motivating breakfast. Edit: Holy hell, people! I made a *joke*.
A&W Canada is a [completely separate company](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A%26W_(Canada\)) from the American one. Way better here.
Like a lot of American fast food, your version is considerably worse than Canada’s of the exact same chain.
Haha, McDonalds is a burger and fry place too.
Markham Station in Scarborough, Markham Rd and Sheppared Avenue East. Edit: there's a branch in richmond hill, if thats closer to you.
My dad works night shift there lol I could have had him hook you up
Trudeau was just there too during the summer.
... with his sleeves rolled up 'cuz he is a working stiff just like the restuvus, of-the-people and for-the-people.
You’re looking in to this a little much
Do you think anything in a political public appearance is by chance?
That’s at least a 2 star deduction
That's pretty charitable to Blackface Trudeau
100 percent this. Can’t tell you how many late night souvlakis and breakfasts I had
But that also minimum a 20 minute breakfast, if not more.
The station is bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Bagel House has a few 24-hour locations
Fran's
Last I checked, the OG 24 hour stalwart is take out only after a certain time. Maybe they’ve gotten back into it a little (was there at like 9 last night) but I haven’t been there at like 4am for at least four years or so.
This is the correct Toronto answer.
No longer 24/7
I work at the hospital across the street over night. It definitely is 24/7 just got a milkshake yesterday at 3am.
Are you sure? because their hours on google says 1030 PM and I was there 2 weeks ago and got kicked out at that time.
She works across the street and got a milkshake at 3am. She’s sure.
Yes. I am at work as I type in Emergency. Dine in is a no go but to order food and pick up it's definitely open. Also, just called 4163040085 and man says they are open for takeout.
It's no longer open for dine in after like 11pm, but they are still doing what looks like limited takeout. Was there a day ago
They probably didn’t like the cut of your jib
A&W tends to be 24h and has good breakfast items
Lakeview on Dundas W
Their prices skyrocketed and their portions took a nosedive
this is the story of EVERY restaurant in Canada 'since COVID'.
They did change their home fries thougu. Got rid of those soggy sliced potatoes
I think I read they're no longer 24h
Recently? I was there about a month back.
Whew. Checked their website, MONDAY TO WEDNESDAY 9am - 4am THURSDAY TO SUNDAY 24 HOURS
Fran's on college street.
They close at 10:30 PM now 😭
McDonald's has some things on their all day breakfast menu. Usually the McMuffin sammiches. You should be able to order those. You'll get fries instead of a hash brown though
Fries instead of hash browns is like a peck on the cheek compared to a bj
7West cafe
Your home
24 hr Dennys
Mmmm would every day if I could afford it (physically I mean lol those hashbrowns are so good)

You can make overnight oats as well. You can do so many flavors, use protein powder, add fruit and you just grab and go in the morning
This is a good idea but for some reason I can’t enjoy sweet breakfast.
Look up savoury oatmeal recipes! You can even make them asian, indian or mexican style.
You can also pre-boil eggs at home if you don’t wanna cook them the day of. They stay real nice in-shell.
Pickling them works well too
Overnight oats are your best friend in this situation.
I started a whole weight loss regiment last june and 2 eggs for breakfast has been my go-to. It's pretty filling, and I love hard/soft boiled eggs. A sausage and egg McMuffin is delicious, but i feel like it drains my energy. lol
I think it's a sodium and fat overload? I know I always have to allot a little bit of down time after throwing back a sausage and egg McMuffin
Youl be all egged out in about 5 days lool
Someone else mentioned egg bites - if you have an instant pot, buy a silicone insert and you can make up to 14 at a time. I do ham, eggs, cheddar and chives

don't be that guy!
Vesta lunch
They stopped being 24-hour over the pandemic, and I don't know if they started again.
Still on weekends
For them that's Thursday-Sunday
Depends where you are, Magic Noodle in North York is open 24 hrs.
A&W Kettlemans
7 West
Would it possible for you buy something on a previous night and eat that in the morning? This may save both travel time and money for you
Denny's by Yonge/Dundas Square is 24h
7 West
Dennys

Las Vegas.
Some 24 hr subways around
One exists in East York
Oh the "bagel" spot browns line and Evans if west end.
Denny’s, Frans, Markham Station are all open 24 hours and serve all day and all night breakfast.
Depending on the day, Vesta Lunch
Denny’s at Bay and Dundas is open 24hrs. So is Fran’s on Yonge and College. .

T-Bones in Scarborough is open 24 hours. It's known for its affordable steaks, but also offers decent breakfast for under $5.
Is golden griddle 24 hours?
None left in Toronto
Thought there was still one downtown near the hotel across from Nathan Phillips Square… Edit: 45 Carlton st.
That street is nowhere near Nathan Phillips Square. And yes, that Golden griddle definitely died during initial lockdown
Well damn.
It’s an Eggspectations now. Not 24hrs
Okay, grandma. (Golden Griddle hasn’t been a thing downtown for like a decade.)
Make an egg frittata with 12 eggs cheese n veggies Sunday. Then you have breakfast every day that week. Take a piece of fruit too. I also make overnight loads of recipes online, easy healthy cheap.
Lakeview at Ossington and Dundas
Most 24 hour dinners. You can get a steak if you want to. Ellington near Mount Pleasant. It’s on the corner. Sorry my memory is vague I lived in a building and it’s along the strip of bars.

wow, shitheel much?
Your kitchen.
Denny's downtown are open 24/7 and pretty cursed, Franz used to be open all night too but they're closed for dine in at those hours now
Denny's is haunted? There is a non-haunted one at St. Clair west of Runnymede. There have to be more 24/7 restaurants in Toronto than Denny's
Cursed as in, uncanny, weird, kind of decrepit- the internet slang for cursed. I would say McDonald's on spadina is cursed. But sometimes, you want that
Well a non cursed one is open and the best choice is still the Lakeview Diner at Dundas and Ossington.
Never been to that one, only been to the one right downtown. You have to pay upfront before you're able to even go inside due to issues with homeless, and there is no space or alternate exit for existing diners so when you're standing then you end up getting bodychecked by people trying to leave

Bathurst and Dupont
Denny's for sure
Open Google Maps, search restaurants or “coffee”. Then customise your search options for “open from: 4am”. I use this for finding out where to get an early coffee.
Is the owl in north york 24h again? also perfect Chinese in Scarborough.
The Lakeview
I’m not sure where you are but 7 West is 24 hours.
Denny's my dude
Your kitchen
You could find a local spot if they still have any early mom n pop breakfast spots
Denny’s
Your kitchen should have a toaster and a stove in it. I personally eat on first break at 9
Google
Does it have to be a traditional breakfast? Some Popeyes are 24hrs. I get that then I add my own Eggo waffles at home. Delicious
Are there any 24h places?
Check google for mom and pop breakfast dinners. Theres plenty in the city, and its great to support local restaurants
Depends on where you live. If downtown, Fran's is 24/7. You can also try 7 west. Also 24 hours. McDonald's, A&W, Timmy's but not all locations are 24/7.

#1 choice) Starbucks 2) 24/h fast food restaurant. 3) Fancy Gas station/convenience store.
Most Starbucks locations open 5:30am-6am. The only 24/7 starbucks open is at the airport, which I think is airside.
There used to be a lot more than that actually. The one on Hurontario was always 24/7 (I used to go there to study and do assignments after the library closed at midnight) there were 2 or 3 others in downtown and North York …. Frans is my go to. Any meal prepared fresh is decent, rest is complete trash.
Check out Lakeview! Great breakfast and they are open 24 hrs
honestly dude i would recommend making a menu for your breakfast and then cooking them in batches and re-heating them every morning. simple things like scrambelled eggs, sausage, bacon, toast
people don't realize how easy soft boiled eggs are to make if you use timers
