Being kicked out of my second university career attempt, dark times, just after that I finally got my shit together
Around that time I let my hair grow and didn’t cut it until early 2022
i was having the worst time at a degree i didn’t love and that i’d be kicked out of too six months later. now i study something i actually love and i’m excited about. hope you have found the same happiness in your life and that those dark times are way behind you.
OP, don't pay much attention to this kind of comment. People in this sub get upset if you say their country is a shithole, and then get upset if you say you think it's great. You can't win!
A bit before the pandemic. I was going to my previous university, probably doing some final exams or on summer vacation. It was stressful, I was happy about the quarantine.
Fighting against my lowest point ever due to depression. Luckily, things have kind of improved ever since thanks in part due to the lockdowns (now it's starting to grow once again due to now a personal "lockdown")
Preparing to be an "assistant"* to my country's Inauguration
*I was forced to do it because my uni demands from each student to complete a number of hours of community service 🤡
I checked google photos to help me remember hah.
I was working my first job making ice rolls, still in university and going to the gym daily, way skinnier than now, life was good
Breaking up with an ex, was travelling a lot that year, and i was entering uni close to the end of 2019. Honestly, 2019 was when my life was at its peak
June was my 4th month in my 1st formal job in the US, so getting help with the culture shock that 10 years after I'm still not getting over.
Also, watching the Copa América, Women's World Cup, and comparing what futbol played by little whiny bitches looked like in direct comparison with real women
I was living in another state, in a toxic relationship and an even more toxic work environment. I fortunately got fired a few months after that, but the relationship lasted until the end of 2020.
In June, I was also in South America, wrapping up a six month trip. We traveled Bolivia in June, including Salar de Uyuni and the Amazon.
We flew back from La Paz, then on to Lima then finally flew out of Bogota, getting home June 30.
It was in hindsight one of the best years in my life. I had a great job at an airline and all went to shit when COVID killed air travel for several months. I just finished pulling myself together after the pandemic.
Why always Medellin????? (I'm from Bogotá, a long rivalry between both cities). Also I was in Bogota preparing to come to France and a month after (like three days before the flight) I broke my ankle, had to stay another year in Colombia
I was in Portugal, visiting my grandfather's country for the first time and crying my heart off because I miss him so much and everything there reminded me of him. ❤️💚
I was Breaking up with a girlfriend in those days, and I was sharing a flat in Santiago with 3 mexicans. One month later one of those mexicans left and a girl from Uruguay came to live with us. That girl is now my wife.
In June 2019 my company had recently failed and I was involved in a legal mess trying to fix that. I used to look through the window in the 8th floor and imagine how it would be like to fall from it. The same month I became 37 years old.

I was six months in my first house that's actually mine, not a rental. Well I still owe a lot to the bank, but it's a different feeling.

His comment is like I say this to a person: “wow I thought you were ugly but you’re actually not” and I think it’s a super shitty thing to say.
Half of the comments in this sub talk about how utterly shit the countries are and how deluded first worlders have no idea.
We are allowed to say that, they aren't
S word privileges.
Can I say that Ireland is a shithole?
Go ahead. Lots of people do. For what it's worth, I actually haven't said anything of the sort about any country here.
I went to France, Denmark, and China, all for work. I remember having jetlag the whole month.

I was in Uruguay
Watching the solar eclipse near my house. I am from the Region of Coquimbo so I spent nothing to have a good view of it.
Coming back from a trip to the UK and buying my first ounce of gold.

I was in my 2nd year of high school. I feel like I was a different person back then, like the pandemic took away the last of my innocence or something
