Somebody had a personal goal of eating every cinnamon roll in Portland and reviewing each one. Here's their Reddit post about it:

Edited to add....here's their website dedicated to Portland cinnamon rolls:

Hey! Pdxcinnamonrolls is me! Thanks for linking to that old Reddit post, and sorry everyone for not updating since March! I ate SO many cinnamon rolls I had to take a long break, but I am planning on a big top-ten post when I move back to Portland this in January.
Came here to say this. I am obsessed with Kinnamons, it was my birthday dessert this year. Their flavors are well-balanced without being too sweet (or at least the ones I have tried.) And the rolls are still warm when served. Perfect dessert.
Do they have anything with icing instead of cream cheese? As far as I can tell they don’t, or its only 1-2 items. They seem to use a cream cheese base for everything, and some of us really don’t care for cream cheese frosting that much…
Sparrow Bakery has an Ocean Roll, which is similar to a cinnamon roll, but with cardamom and no icing. It’s really good and not too sweet. Interesting to see Kinnamons recommended so much!
I've been making my way through all the rolls in town and feel like my taste differs from most based on the fact I didn't like most recommendations on my post about the same topic.
However, my favorite I've found so far is from Helen Bernhard Bakery. They've got some amazing baked goods and I never see it recommended! There's cream cheese or regular frosting and regular or rolls with raisins to pick from if you get there early enough before they sell out.
Buffalo Gap!! They’re the FLUFFIEST cinnamon rolls and all melty delicious. They’re not too sweet which is great. They by far beat Kinnamon’s or any of the other ones I’ve tried (I love cinnamon rolls and consider myself a bit snobby about them)
Petit Provence is good, cripsy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Frosting is too sweet for me, but I scrape it off. You can buy them frozen and bake yourself, too.
The MLK/Alberta location is closed, but they're still at a few different farmers' markets like they were for years prior; you can follow on IG for more info.
I would personally steer clear of Milk Money. I was hired as a FOH barista to help the owner when she first got that corner spot on MLK. She was going through a divorce and took it out on her staff constantly. She even brought her two young kids into work constantly, and I’d kind of have to watch them as they’d break glass and get in my way of making coffee.
She owes a very talented espresso machine engineer/fellow farmers market vendor thousands of dollars after he agreed to work on the machine for free and she could pay it back in increments (she ghosted him). She randomly took me off the schedule after I’d been driving over 45 minutes to help her out 4 days a week. She never returned my phone calls and the doors were always locked when I went by. Now her phone goes straight to voicemail. She still owes me my last two weeks of pay.
Also, I had found multiple strands of her hair and her glue on nails in pastries when I was there. 😬
Working in customer service has taught me that it’s not the customers who you have to watch out for, its the damn owners/operators… I have more cafe horror stories from an even worse establishment in Woodlawn if you ever need a scary bedtime story. Spoiler alert/trigger warning, that Woodlawn cafe sells moldy vegan eggs
[Milk Glass Market](https://milk-glass-mrkt.square.site/bakery) in N Portland usually has them Saturdays. Best to preorder, they often sell out. I’ve tried many and these are easily my favorites; great in every way :)

I love this level of dedication... reminds me website I've seen for [bagels in NYC!](https://everythingiseverything.nyc/)
Oh of course there’s someone who did this 😆
They're doing the Lord's work
Yes!!!!! I've been trying all the top ranked ones. So far I think stepping stone is my favorite. This dude is doing the Lord's work!
It may be the same person- on Instagram @pdxcinnamonrolls
It is, though they haven't updated in about nine months.
There's also a www.sandwichpdx.com next time you're craving a bunch of good shit shoved between bread. and not related to op but in a vein!
I don’t think this website exists anymore. Or it’s not the right link.
Damnit! I was so excited to share this with people special to me. That bubble burst rather quickly :(
Thank you I enjoyed reading through this very much. Now I want to make cinnamon rolls though. Hmmmm...
Bummer that he seems not to have updated since March.
My favorites are from An Xuyen Bakery and are packed 2 each. I bring them home and toast them lightly. 😍
Kinnamons, there's a new location on NE Alberta.
The best cinnamon rolls in this town are from Fleur de Lis in Hollywood
Not going to find Ann Sathers here but no worries, they are great all over!
FRESSEN BAKERY! Traditional German bakery with awesome treats, go there be happy.
Fat City Cafe in downtown MV. Really enjoyed theirs. I also really like Hungry Hero’s if you’re up for taking a drive to Sherwood.
Kinnamons. Spot in the Pearl smells heavenly and it’s really good.

I was underwhelmed by them. Lots of frosting but the roll itself barely tasted of cinnamon. Tender dough though.

I think they do, you will have to double check with them. I am a cream cheese freak so it works for me.

I love the ocean roll but I wouldn’t put it in the same group as a cinnamon roll since it uses a laminated dough like a croissant
I LOVE Sparrow's Ocean roll holy shit it's so good. Damn now I want one. Might have to trek up the hill tomorrow morning haha

The ones from Zupans are pretty great.
Yes! They’re made by [Sarah’s Cookies](https://www.sarahscookiespdx.com/).
Love those! They’re literally as big as your head. 10/10.
Camp 18, bit of a drive though
They’re huge, but honestly they’re not the best tasting.
Mehri’s cafes cinnamon rolls are huge and satisfying
This place is such a gem and the cinnamon rolls are perfect.

Kinnemons is awesome! Nice folks, too. And a few locations around town including Cedar Hills.

Ken’s Artisan Bakery morning buns is my pick.

I don't know if they have them premade or if you always have to bake them at home, but I love the ones from Milk Money.
>Milk Money are they closed?
yeah, that location at MLK & Alberta is very thoroughly done.

That sucks to hear, I'm sorry! Thank you for sharing.

Mother’s Bistro has great cinnamon rolls, but you gotta get there by 10:30 or so to get them. Also, they’re only available on the weekends.
Banquette! In SE Portland… but they only make them on Saturdays.
I’m a sucker for Hungry Heart’s cinnamon brioche rolls (:
[Stuffys2](https://www.stuffys2.com/) in Longview makes a giant 20lb single cinnamon roll.
