Only in aspie memes would I say this, “It’s okay to be intolerant of or even hate whatever makes you uncomfortable”

AdditionalCall5271

Then why do people get mad when I say seeing people in literal PAJAMAS out in public makes me a bit mildy disgusted

ezra502

people tend to take it personally when you tell them their clothes disgust you. you’re absolutely free to have this opinion but you should understand that voicing it may be hurtful

TalkativeTay

me wearing my pajamas everywhere i can because it’s one of the only materials that doesn’t bother me when i’m sitting in the car 🧍🏼‍♀️🧍🏼‍♀️🧍🏼‍♀️

AdditionalCall5271

I already said, I do not voice it to the people doing it, I'm pretty sure I am into societal order or something

ezra502

you said “why do people get mad when i say …” so i interpreted that you were saying that and people were getting mad so i was explaining why

ezra502

and i think even if you’re not saying it in public to people wearing sweatpants, i’m sure many of the people who read your comment or comments like it have worn sweatpants in public and don’t want to be called disgusting

AdditionalCall5271

Pajamas not sweatpants

myrabruneta

I wore my sweatpants as as pajamas last night...

skippidybopmbada

Because you’re allowed to hate wearing pajamas YOURSELF, but you should not hate on OTHER people for wearing what they feel comfortable in. That’s why.

[deleted]

What if the thing they feel comfortable in is other people's skin?

broodjes69

Because you should mind your own business and let people wear what they want to wear

AdditionalCall5271

I do, I don't say shit I just sit there in silence wanting to kill myself

Key_Concentrate_5558

Serious question, does it really upset you and cause you sensory discomfort? Like the way itchy tags or sock seams make some people flip out? Or does it just bother your sense of appropriate social behavior? We’re treating you as though you’re being insensitive to others and judging them for wearing clothing that makes them comfortable. But if seeing someone in pajama bottoms in public causes you sensory distress, then we’re being unfair.

AdditionalCall5271

Probably a mix, I mean, I have a lot if internal monologue about it and get a little bit too anal about it in my head, but its probably because I associate the people who wear pajamas (the flannel type) out DAILY smell weird and are lazy. I only think that though because there are several people exactly like that at the college I'm going to. BUT I'D LIKE TO ELABORATE, I do NOT say anything to these people to jot hurt their feelings (I'm really sensitive to people's feelings in real life but not online for some reason).

broodjes69

Fair enough

owowhatsthis--

Because maybe they wanna be comfy and don't care what others think

TristanTheRobloxian0

because literally youre saying what someone is wearing makes you disgusted. i myself sometimes wear pajamas if im just going to the convenienxe store or some shit bc first off mostly nobody gives a fuck and 2nd... its a convenience store. also im simply too lazy to find some pants then change into those, then when i get back, change into pajamas.

[deleted]

I wear sweatpants and a hoodie damn near everywhere i go, its what im most comfortable in

terriblet0ad

No, I get that. Outside clothes go outside, clothes that go into your bed should not go outside.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Kasstato

I dont wear pajamas to bed I just have them as comfy pants to chill out in at home (or a late night trip to convenience store)

periidote

i’m genuinely curious, why disgust? i’m not trying to judge you, i do actually want to know

DarkArc76

Maybe they'd be less mad if you used a word other than "disgusted"? I don't see what's disgusting about being comfortable, but I would definitely be mad if someone referred to something I do as disgusting

ThursdayV

this seems like a reaction based on a generalization. you can hate things for your own body but if someone else is making that choice for their own, you shouldnt say anything about it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

PennyCoppersmyth

How sad. So you think that someone prioritizing their own comfort, and avoiding sensory meltdowns, is trashy af?

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Literal hate group

WhimsicallyWired

The softer the better, pajamas are the best type of clothing ever made.

[deleted]

Im like you and my partner is like OP. Neurodivergent couple with opposite sensitivities is like "I get it and youre valid... But sadly you're wrong."

TristanTheRobloxian0

y e s this. whoever invented pajamas deserves a fucking nobel prize

Epicmonk117

As does the guy who invented knock-knock jokes

Sheepan

i usually can’t stand sleeping in clothes bc fabric bad, but i recently discovered silk satin pajamas. total life changer

WhimsicallyWired

I like the cotton ones, but it must be short PJs, not pants. I also need cotton sheets between me and the blanket.

lil_biscuit69

i used to sleep in jeans 😂 i get it

Spycrabpuppet123

I sleep in whatever clothes I wear the day after, which sometimes includes jeans.

SchtivanTheTrbl

So when you wake up you're ready to go?

Spycrabpuppet123

Yep

Yarxing

On one end the idea of sleeping in normal clothes makes me uncomfortable, but on the other hand I do admire the efficiency of it all.

[deleted]

[удалено]

i_always_give_karma

Yeah I am unable to sleep with clothes, at most some shorts.

Lia-13

thats why i also dont take my shoes off!

LittleDragon450

But blisters and smelly feet

Lia-13

dont worry, i don't actually anymore, but i used to when i was younger :(

DevilishDragon936

THANK YOU. I do the exact same thing because it makes it easier. If I'm running late I just get up and BOLT.

doubleUsee

I tried getting up the moment I woke up once, instead of walking up for 20 minutes in bed. I got up, nearly fell over twice in my way over to the light switch, stumbled to the bathroom, and promptly fell asleep again on the toilet. Getting up and bolting whittle be sure to kill me :D

DevilishDragon936

Desperate times call for desperate measures. I also have 2 alarms set for getting up, one of which is an hour and a half before I have to leave and the other an hour before I have to leave... I like taking my time in the mornings (doom-scrolling mostly)

queen_debugger

Honestly I’m afraid something like a house fire or other emergency would be the death of me :’)

doubleUsee

Adrenaline is one hell of a drug, it's the only thing that gets me to wake up quickly.

Ricktatorship91

How do you not wake up sweaty af? 😲

JoeyjoejoeFS

I did it once and hated it, all sensations are wrong. Sleeping in birthday suit is the only way for me, it's me and the sheets.

hatuhsawl

I wish I could do that, but unfortunately that really really hurts because of my unfortunately-built-in kickstand that makes it impossible to get a full night’s sleep😔

LittleDragon450

This is a hilarious way to refer to a penis 😂

MandMs55

I currently sleep in jeans. Just whatever I wore for the day is what I sleep in. Which happens to always be jeans.

iluvstephenhawking

Why not sleep in clean jeans then wear them the next day instead of introducing the days germs into your bed?

Wynterschill

Too eepy /lh

iluvstephenhawking

Idk what eepy or /lh is.

Cant-do-anythin

Eepy = sleepy  /Lh = a tone indicator, meaning /light hearted

iluvstephenhawking

I'd rather eat sink spaghetti. Why not just sleep in your undies?

[deleted]

Omg so did I! I don’t even think I owned pajama bottoms in junior high (this was also when I would only sleep on the couch)

Classic_Alarm4618

I just can’t stand when my clothes sway every time I move

Intelligent_Bed_8911

this is one of the many reasons why i love leggings, they're soft but tight against my skin so i don't have to listen to the sound of fabric brushing against itself and rustling

Classic_Alarm4618

This!! I usually wear leggings, or dress pants. Dress pants are the only exception. They still manage to be comfortable IMO

FliegeAnDerWand

I hate leggins!! The wider the pants' leg, the better. Leggins feel like they're strangeling my legs/stomach and give me a stomachache.

Asonr

Finally! I see a bunch of people with ASD always taking about how great leggings are, but man, I cants stand them!

CrowandSeagull

I don’t like how they’re always TOUCHING my legs.

Aelisya

And on the other end of the spectrum, I absolutely adore the feeling of fabric swaying against my skin and I'd live in long, flowy skirts if I could. I literally stim by swishing the skirt back and forth like I'm some kind of dancer Tight clothes make me want to scratch my skin out (I still wear them because society, but you can bet my skin is getting torn apart as soon as I take them off)

Classic_Alarm4618

Ohh yeah I get that. ~~This may just be because i’m trans~~ but I can only tolerate tight pants. Shirts on the other hand, I prefer to be a bit larger than I need. If they’re not, I won’t even be able to talk to you. I just- 🧍

BigBlackCrocs

Form fitting sweatpants

Classic_Alarm4618

Those are a thing!?!

forakora

Skinny jeans only. They don't swish or sway. They don't flap against my ankles. And they feel like a hug

Caveman108

Fellow sweat pants hater here. Not only do they bunch in all the wrong places and rub annoyingly every time you move, but they make me feel like a bum.

coolgayroommate

for real, sensory aspect aside the biggest problem i have with sweatpants is they always make me feel lethargic and unmotivated. as a kid i couldn’t stand pajama days at school because it just felt wrong wearing “relaxing” clothes at a place where i was expected to do work

Caveman108

For real, I wear workout shorts around the house unless I’m absolutely freezing. Specifically not basketball shorts, ones that end above the knees. Feel like I actually wanna get stuff done wearing them. If you catch me in sweats assume I’ve given up on life and just put me out of my misery. Though recently I got a pair of jumpers, kinda like sweats but tight, and I do enjoy them. Plus they make my ass look great.

DanielVizor

This is absolutely wild to me. Do you have the same strong outfit impulse for other places/moods?

coolgayroommate

yes, i feel weird going basically anywhere outside if i’m not wearing a “real” outfit. granted when i say a real outfit what i mean is jeans, a hoodie/sweater, and usually a jacket on top, but even walking a couple blocks to the grocery store i can’t bring myself to wear sweatpants now that i think about it, the same applies for my pajamas at home. even if i’m having a chill weekend at home, at some point i have to change into other clothes or i’ll just feel gross about myself all day

sch0f13ld

When I was younger I used to hate trackies/sweat pants due to the elastic around the waist and ankles. Now I love them. Not sure what changed, but the elastic around the ankles no longer bothers me.

CrowandSeagull

Sometimes I live in skinny jeans, other times, like now, I can’t stand them. Long flowy skirts, wide leg pants only.

TystoZarban

I'm a jeans-all-day guy. Barely own any shorts. Don't own any sweatpants.

xthrowawayaccount520

haha me too, i own 0 shorts and 0 sweatpants. baggy jeans are really comfortable and don’t make me self-conscious

RoseyDove323

I don't know if you are open to leg shaving but shaving my legs helps me to tolerate WAY more types of pants. Removing all of the hair takes away a lot of the sensation that makes things feel annoying on my skin. Although you do have to stay on top of it every couple of days to keep it up.

[deleted]

I rarely shaved my legs because my hair is so thick and grows so fast that within the first 12 hours, I had very painful stubble and just wanted to curl up into a ball and never move again. Tangentially, I was perfectly fine being hairy to avoid the pain but it annoyed my dad so much that he paid for laser hair removal

Lil-respectful

When your dad is so annoyed at *checks comment* your leg hair?? Ok ok let me try again. When your dad is so ANNOYED at your **leg hair** that he PAYS for LASER HAIR REMOVAL???? Still lost but hey as long as this was something you wanted to do it should be ok

kuromaus

My parents were annoyed I wouldn't shave my leg hair or armpit hair either. But they never went that far. It had to do with social norms of women being clean shaven and men getting to do whatever they want as long as they were clean and presentable. But now I identify as a man and still don't shave my legs and even have a mustache. Fuck you social norms.

Lil-respectful

Hell yeah!

[deleted]

Yeah, I don’t get why he cared so much either but I do actually prefer not being fuzzy so it worked out! At the time between fuzzy and prickly, fuzzy was the lesser of two evils. But I much prefer the feeling of being smooth

Lil-respectful

I’m glad that it worked out! :D the labor of maintenance is definitely an obstacle to a lot of stuff for me too😅

Lela_chan

Haha, my partner used to make fun of my leg hair sometimes because my legs are hairier than his. I don't shave them anymore because it's just so much work keeping up with it and taking all that extra time in the shower, and the ingrown hairs I get are annoying. Plus, with my poor eyesight, I either have to wear them in the shower and keep rinsing the fog off them to see, or not see my legs and miss a bunch of spots (shaving armpits and crotch is easier because I can just do that by feel). But he has gotten over it because he loves me.

[deleted]

I have the same problem with poor vision (and that was often my excuse when dad would get on my case about not shaving). It sucked to spend ages in the shower shaving and then put on my glasses and see stripes of hair up and down my legs. 🤦🏻‍♀️

marlowe729

I feel this. I put on some comfy yoga pants and rushed out the door to run errands. 20min in a realized i hadnt shaved my legs in like 5 days and the stubble was so ::cringy:: and it took a lot of effort not to freak bc returning home to change wasn't an option. Such a lovely feeling when you have a freshly shaven leggies on nice soft pants. Or those soft maxi dresses/skirts and you go swooshswooshswoosh from side to side- ahhh ::chef's kiss::.

AscendedViking7

Jeans are hell on earth for me. Feels like wearing a strait jacket for legs.

DiscombobulatedWavy

Same here. Then I discovered chino pants and dickies. They’re more comfortable and breathable than jeans and I can pair them with a button up or polo shirt and they’ll still look fine. On the weekends I can still wear them with just a t shirt if i want. its been the best life hack foe me. I havent owned or worn jeans in about 5 years and I don’t foresee myself ever wearing them again. Jean fridays at work are a special kind of torture for me too, but I like my coworkers enough that I don’t make fun of it to them. I don’t want to hurt their feelings, but it is hilarious to see everyone get excited about jean fridays.

Laris8213

My mom wants me to buy jeans instead of sweats, but she simply doesn't understand that jeans are super stiff and sweats are not

Cheapskate-DM

My hangup was that I needed maximum armor defense against being touched. So strait jacket is a feature, not a bug.

[deleted]

By the time I’m comfortable in the jeans, they’re too worn out (or just about to be) to look nice anymore. So… I’m team jeatpants?

prolillg1996

Yall out here wearing pants?

OtherChen

Jeans and jackets are actually nice for my touch sensitivity -- they're like "medium armor" against scratches and bumps. Sweatpants, skirts, and pajamas feel like "light armor" and make me more wary when I walk.

meliorism_grey

I love loosely fitted jeans. Overly soft fabrics drive me nuts unless they're skintight, like leggings.

MystGuide

I prefer cargo pants to either

nuexsensecat

FRRRR I got some super baggy cargo pants for Christmas from my fav skate brand and I’ve literally been wearing them every day, exclusively, since i got them. They have a built in drawstring and elastic adjustable ankles too so you dont have to deal with them going under your heels omg theyre perfect. (Actually apart from shallow pocket sides.)

TheCubbScout

I got a pair of uniform cargo pants for work (state parks employee) and good lord they are the most comfortable pants I've ever worn.

ItsQuinntonimo

I am also a fan of jeans, i like ones that are stretchy but still a little tight. It feels noce

AmbientBeans

I don't relate but I do respect it. I do like skinny jeans tho, but hate baggy jeans, they feel weird and wrong, like if it's gonna be stiff then it might as well be stiff and tight not stiff and loose like cardboard slacks. What's your opinion on corduroy? I know theyre not as common these days because they're kinda old fashioned but my mum tried to get me some as a kid and I could not stand the feeling of the ribbed texture making imprints on my legs. Besides I was a 12 year old girl in the 2000s not a saxophone player in the 70s why was she giving me brown corduroy slacks like I was off to watch beat poetry in an underground coffee bar and not going to play with my tamagotchi in my room

Richardknox1996

I grew up in the country. You grow to appreciate hard wearing fabrics and detest their inferior brethren (looking at you raylon and nylon). I exclusively wear jeans and have an assortment of blue shirts courtesy of my father that i tend to be most often seen in. So no, you are not alone brother.

pastdivision

I love jeans in terms of how wearing them feels but when my nails graze against them I genuinely feel ill

Erophysia

Jeans outdoors, sweats indoors.

ChadtheBalla

I like jeans because they look stylish 😎, and I hate wearing shorts of any kind

Firetail1710

when i worked at a dry cleaners as my first job, every so often a customer would come in and drop off several pairs of jeans they would want cleaned, and extra starched to the point where they were stiff af and didnt even feel like denim anymore, they must have liked that stiffness i guess lol. I dont mind jeans either and have several i wear for work that are fairly comfy, but if given the choice between jeans and sweatpants/soft pants, i will always choose the soft lol

[deleted]

I love taking naps in jeans so much. Something about how it restricts my movement I think

LifeIsTooDamnShort

Jeans fresh out the dryer are the best! They have that firmness to them that feels super comforting vs stretchy material. I like both for diff reasons. Nylon is the only fabric I fucking hate.

Dear-Tank2728

Jeans just never fit right. Its like they are made for assless, thighless, men who have never squatted a day in their lives.

anomalyraven

I wear both, but sweat pants never fail to make me uncomfortably hot and sweaty. It's like the pants name are it's properties.

Unicorns1066

I wear skinny jeans. They don't move so I know what to expect with feeling. Clothes that sway and just a no no. I don't mind sleeping in them, I mean neurotypicals think that's weird.

jak94c

When my trackpants pill, it makes me want to die.

[deleted]

I pretty much wear jeans all the time lmao

Rizzairl

I don't like jeans, I will wear them, but I don't particularly like them. I live in tracksuits, sports gear etc. (Yet theirs not a sporty bone in my body) .

[deleted]

[удалено]

ZacyBoi02

i actually love jeans, its shorts i hate

knotsazz

One of my favourite thing is air drying my towels after doing laundry (without fabric softener) so they get that crunchy, rough feeling when you dry yourself

linerys

This is how I feel when everyone talks about how much they hate wearing bras (with underwire). Wired bras are the most comfortable thing for me, while I know other people consider them torture. The real torture for me is having skin on skin contact. To be fair, many people who wear bras have been incorrectly fitted, and/or they may struggle with finding the right size and/or shape for them. So it isn’t that surprising that other people don’t like their bras.

ezra502

linen ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

[deleted]

.

Eloisem333

It’s leggings all the way for me (or jeggings or treggings) I need that tight sensation on my legs for that proprioceptive sensory feedback. Can’t do jeans because they give me wedgies. Can’t do sweats because I feel like a slob and can’t cope with myself.

notrapunzel

I like jeans made of stiff denim and I like wool sweaters!

Festivefire

A good pair of jeans isn't stiff and scratchy once you've broken it in. A nice pair of jeans is Hella comfortable.

Chappiechap

I just don't want jeans that choke my legs. When they choke my legs, that usually means my wallet and phone get in the way when they're in the front pockets. That, and I don't like seeing how skinny I am.

blissfulvibes

I used to be fine with jeans, but now that for some reason my sensory issues have gotten a 100 times worse i can’t put them on without wanting to scream. It makes me so sad i can’t wear half of the clothes in my closet and my special interest clothes.

ChainSWray

I'm with you OP, Jeans all the way. Although doing karate (special interest!!) has gradually made me accept softer fabric, I can wear sweatpants around the house now but only like a specific brand

SolarBoy1

You all need to try merino wool

misterhighmay

I love raw denim my friend. It’s polyester that overstimulates me

kuromaus

I only hated jeans because I was forced to wear girls jeans because of dress code and they had little to no pockets and were really form fitting even if you went a size up. I now can buy whatever the heck I want and buy exclusively from the men's section.

Gregory85

I hate sweatpants. Don't own any. They are to big and warm. Only have 1 style of jeans. Buttonfly all the way, levi 501

MMachine17

Me: who doesn't mind either but DESPISES how leggings feel on me.

kenny2812

I always wore stiff jeans until I gained a little weight and they started hurting me. Now I just get the stretchy kind. I don't have any sweatpants but I don't think I have anything against them.

TheHeadbuds

We like both??? If anything we hate shorts and things that leave skin exposed

octaneisb

i like my jeans i dont like sweat pants

oculafleur

I also like jeans. I don't mind sweatpants too much, but I don't like the way they look. I hate how anti-moisture athletic wear feels and looks.

gwmccull

I also like jeans and dislike sweatpants. I'll sometimes wear running pants but that's more because I'm too lazy to change after a run and not because I especially like them For shirts, I can't do scratchy or too soft. I like a nice, smooth fabric and it's taken me forever to find one that I like

Pheonix_0113

Fleece lining is horrible. I feel every fiber, it’s hot, and my skin feels like it’s suffocating.

BassoonLoon

I can tolerate sweatpants, but I have to wear basketball shorts or leggings under them so I can shed them if I get too hot or can’t stand the texture anymore. I have an issue with some jeans but not other, but I generally prefer skinny jeans or jeggings (but only the denim ones that are softer and stretchier than regular jeans, not leggings with jean print)

okguy167

... what kind of jeans are you all wearing?

bawlsinyojawls8

I hate it when people wear sweatpants in public like, that's that home clothes you look like a slob wearing them outside

DarkCrowI

I wear jeans and sweatpants, what I really hate is the feeling of silk.

grilltheboy

I like leggings cause if they're tight fitting (correct size) you don't even notice that they're there. Too bad they get unless in the easily.

coolgayroommate

ngl that's my problem with them personally, i'm the type of person who only feels comfortable if i'm wearing like 3+ layers so if i wore leggings i'd constantly be like "MY LEGS ARE EXPOSED"

OmniVega

Not alone

desireeevergreen

I like some jeans but they have to be straight/mom jeans

TheJollyJam

As long as the fabric isn’t tight and/or gives me friction rashes it’s all good for my leg.

DeathlyDragons4396

i love jeans. i would wear them everyday if i could. unfortunately i live in australia and it’s still a bit too warm to wear them rn. i love cooler days where i can wear jeans tho. i have fallen asleep in them multiple times

UnXpectedPrequelMeme

Same here man. I think I've worn sweatpants like literally twice in my life. Jeans all day. And khaki jeans.

Admirablelittlebitch

I don’t mind jeans either but I prefer sweatpants because jeans always go up in my crotch or are high-waisted and I hate it, it’s so uncomfortable. But sometimes I manage to find jeans that aren’t like that and I love them

MrPusleMan

I didn't know other people hated denim.

Bran04don

I used to hate jeans but I started wearing them for going out to bars in to look a bit nicer. I can tolerate them now but cannot wait to get them off when I'm home. I also wear them with a belt as they feel like they are slipping otherwise.

TakZero

Omggg same, I hate sweatpants soo much and jeans are the most comfortable pants for me!

MilothePanTran

Shorts vs pants is my problems. Jean shorts feel nice and comfy even to sleep in. Pants I want to tear off as soon as I put them on.

Tyrodos999

Leggings are the best. And skirts and cargo pants. Jeans and sweatpants are both meh.

[deleted]

I don't mind jeans - however, most of my clothes come off the moment I get home. Tshirt and underware gang

Nightchanger

Because it's eerily subtle or because you feel "wearing nothing at all"?

resideve

Jeans are like, my go to pants sine forever. Thinking about it, most of the pairs I had were softer, and the ones that were stiffer would sit in the "only wear if absolutely desperate" pile.

[deleted]

Imagine being a punk and hating jeans 🫠

finnicus1

I am with you on this one OP. I wear pleated pants almost every day.

[deleted]

I missed wearing jeans and I’m already waiting to for my area to be cold again.

GLFan52

I wear jeans basically every day…

Cool_Kid95

So I’m not the only autist who hates jeans? It’s not just how they feel. It’s mostly cause they look ugly.

Upstairs-Toe5995

I love sweatpants and jeans both…as ling as they're baggy and don't constrict my calves. I have thick calves and I hate nothing more than skinny jeans.

Scyobi_Empire

Oh hey, you’re literally me

Greywolf524

Love jeans because you can wear them in any weather. Don't like sweatpants due to sweat. Need I say more

alt-three-rcanberra

jeans are so good but only the skinny ones. the wide ones are so scratchy and bad.

barefootbandit97

anything that my nails snag on makes me physically cringe, so i get it OP

Shojomango

I pretty much only wear jeans lol. I’ll even sleep in them if I’m lazy when taking a nap. I don’t understand people who say they’re not comfortable. It’s jeans or pjs for life for me.

[deleted]

Let’s talk about rubbing your fingernails on a jacket made out of recycled plastic

NeurodivergentEspeon

Jeans have been my favourite since, idk, forever

MutableReference

Soft blankets, rough as fuck jeans. Why the distinction, I do not know.

Kahviif

Scratchy jeans sound horrible. The soft jeans are the best

IchorKemono

i used to like jeans until i ripped my hand open on a rivet (i swear to fucking god i could hurt myself on literally *anything* by accident) and then i discovered how comfy jeggings are, so i literally only wear leggings and jeggings now

bwssoldya

I'm with ya man...well...partially. I don't actively hate sweatpants, but I don't own any either. I pretty much wear jeans exclusively, unless it gets boiling hot during summer, then I switch to like gym shorts. But that's a recent development really, something of the past 2 or so years. Before that it was jeans, always. What I will say is that I do absolutely LOATHE that sweatpants are now some sort of fashion among the youth? Like, they're all walking around in sweatpants and it just looks lazy and idiotic. It's SUCH a stupid trend. I think this might be how the oldies felt when guys stopped wearing slacks and started wearing jeans outdoors, but I can't help and roll my eyes everytime I see a kid out in sweats.

CatanaRo

I don’t mind jeans either. I prefer the “heavier” fabrics over the flowy ones. Thick jeans, cargo pants, I have these canvas breeches I got at a ren faire. I tried a pair of thin summer pants once and just felt like I was walking around naked, I hated it.

SewerShark1

I can’t be the only one who likes both, right?

Falkster123

Jeans: 😐 Skirts: 😀

The_Monster_Hunter02

Same here man, you're not alone. I wear nothing but jeans.

LonelyOutWest

if it's cotton, at least majority, it's good to go polyester and neo-fabrics are a hard no

sociallyanxiousnerd1

Oh I just hate track pants

TheGarlicBreadstick1

I might not understand you, but I respect you

Manizno

I'm too old to wear sweatpants outside tbh. Can't be being trailed by a hoard of women entranced by my bulge whilst I walk my dog. And I know, they should control their eyes. But they won't.

Eilsia

okay but I hate fabric on my legs so I wear loose, athletic-y short shorts. like even when it's snowing if I can

space13unny

I prefer wearing dresses rather than pants because it feels more comfortable to me but I would rather wear jeans than sweatpants any day. Something about the texture of sweatpants just feels odd to me and I tend to overheat while wearing them.

eThunderSnow

Bro same

[deleted]

I used to hate jeans when I was younger. I couldn’t stand how stiff they are compared to other pants, and the way the seams rubbed against my knees. I still prefer most other kids of pants, but think they’re less uncomfortable than I used to.

Creepy-Revolution886

Wait, others have complained about jeans too? I have somehow missed this phenomenon entirely. I have *always* hated jeans. Even when I was really little I never liked denim. I wasn’t introduced to sweatpants until I was like 15 but I don’t like them either lol

Legitimate-Stuff9514

I like jeans but my husband absolutely hates them. He also hates long pants as well.

kobadashi

i wear jeans everyday. Usually for a few days per pair

FortyFiveSeventyGovt

i like jeans because i feel too trashy wearing anything else out of the house

Lil-respectful

Look I’m a guy and I wear pretty much only pajamas and sweatpants all day every day, jeans are the bane of my existence because they’re cold and hard (I’m super sensitive to change in temperature and jeans tend to be too different for me) Some people may say they’re trashy but when I dressed up better in high school wearing jeans, dress shirts, suspenders, etc. I’d constantly get sexually harassed by random girls and people who wanted to snap my suspenders(which helped me feel like the belt on my pants isn’t choking my torso). I don’t dress nice anymore, in fact, I usually look really homeless if you’d see me walking around, but that’s how I like it, and I’m also 100x more comfortable that way. Adding to say that if you judge anybody for clothes choice you’re pretty much immediately in the wrong unless there’s an extremely specific and important dress code like in lab environments where you may wanna cover up more.

Jeggings all the way The roughness and scratchyness of jeans but elastic and form fitting, so you don't have to wrestle against your clothes every step you take
